There seems to be a good recipe on the Nestle web site. The topping is made of semolina rubbed in Ghee and fried slightly, I think. I love Knefe too (Beiruti Pronounciation!!) but you can't ever beat the one you buy in Beirut, sometimes I bring it vacuum sealed and freeze it once I get home!! when you are going to Beirut again? :D

Dangerously addictive :) thats true. since Ramadan my family had this 6 times and still I am thinking to make it again on coming Friday :D Oh my gosh!!! I haven't had it for a long time now because once I start, I can't stop. with my 4 ft 11 frame I can't afford to gain weight, I already have 2 kg's to lose after Ramadan!! lol Gennee, Can you give me Kunafa recipe? I asked in my recent thread but 40 views with no replies :) edited by sunlight on 21/08/2013

Hi again, Just to update u ladies .. I have called The Healthy Home company and they are just great!! they use special machines for vacuuming the mattresses and they have another machine (looks like from sci-fi movies :) ) to do the ultraviolet sanitation. I called them and they offered me a free demonstration, was disgusted with what they got out of my mattress :S so told them to do the full service. Their team was also very knowledgeable and explained about these things they got out and where is it coming from. They were very professional and the best thing is that they didn't use any chemical on my son's mattress or my mattress! very recommended may be an advertisement? Another user name of coffeewalnut12? all 8 posts of coffeewalnut12 advertising this company. Extremely sorry if I am wrong. edited by sunlight on 01/08/2013

thanks for sharing.. سبحان الله = Subhan'Allāh (Arabic سبحان الله) is an Arabic phrase often translated as "Glorious is God." الحمد لله = Alhamdulillah ( Arabic: الحمد لله ‎) is an Arabic phrase meaning "Praise to God".

I always clean my cooler in this way 1- unplug the cooler 2-clean with mixture of bleach & water 3- drain out all the bleach & water mixture through the tap of cooler. 4- flush with normal water. 5- flush with white vinegar and water mixture. 6-flush with normal water.(sometimes I use cotton buds to clean the taps as well and then drain the water) 7- fill the cooler tank with water and keep a side for half an hour. 8- drain the water and start using. hth :) edited by sunlight on 20/06/2013

The cheapest way is probably through international city, you rent an office for a few days and with that, you get your license and visas. and then what about at the time of renewal?

My eldest son is now close to 30 (living in Australia), sons in between, and my DD is only 8 years - still the fight and teasing hasn't stopped - once all back under my roof - they are children again - the shouting, teasing starts again! I love it!!!!!! Redrec Tangle, you will miss your "trenches" one day, as do I and you will look back on them with tears of love and joy in your eyes. Cherish your lively, happy (noisy) home - you have a family!!!!!!!! Ahamdulillah you made my Day mrsb.

My DS is 11 and DD is 6, both of them fight all the time! Its like when one is not around, the other one is bored but when they are together, they fight for sitting in the same seat, when one gets shouted at, the other one laughs. Is it the same with others? I am RELAXED now... ahhhhhh I am not alone. same seating problem while watching tv.

And for the lady who made the toilet comment - do you shower every time you go to the toilet? What happens if your kids need to go at school? Or going at work? My kids always shower after bathroom (not a wee), and they would never go toilet at school. What happens when they go camping? Or if they want to spend all day shopping or doing touristy things on travels and need to "do the needful"... aren't you setting up unnecessary limitations for them? The call of nature can be pretty strong. One day they will need to go at school too. I was thinking the same :)

yes my daughter daily bringing lot of stories. one of her class fellow is daughter of the school owner. my daughter is in arabib medium pvt school and all the teachers giving priority to her. yesterday's story: mama my teacher told ABC what ever you want, all the girls will do the same. she asked me why you are not the owner of School. she is feeling complexed and ashamed because if ABC wants to talk she will talk otherwise ignoring to everyone. then I asked her to change her class but my DD said "no problem mama I am going there for studies. I don't want to change my class" I know my DD is very sensitive and loving. she is in the same class with same fellows since KG and that is the reason she doesn't want to change her class. sorry for english mistakes in the post :D

I have them in my office too, they're very annoying! We are in a shop on the ground floor, and in Dec had flooding from the rains. We thought the remaining dampness under the floor might be the cause. Anyway, in late Dec we had pest control spray the place, but it only helped for a short time. They're back and we've had 2 more pest control companies evaluate the place recently, but they say it would be a waste of our money to have them spray. They say they're coming from the outside and will just keep coming. So - no solution. The flies continue. I want to pick up some fly paper and see if that might help, even a little? I'd love to hear any solutions to this! FLY PAPER? pls let me know where I can find. it is really annoying. :(

Remove the empty water bottle and unplug the dispenser. Mix up a weak bleach solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach for every 1 gallon of water. Use this solution to wipe around the top of the dispenser where the bottle sits, around the tap nozzles, and the drip tray. Pour the solution into the dispenser until it is full. Let the solution sit in the dispenser for at least 5 mins (but no more than 10 mins) then drain into a bucket and dispose of it. Flush the dispenser out with fresh clean water at least four times (i.e fill with fresh water, drain, refill x 4). Done :) same here. :)

Al Marai does a delicious Low-Fat one. I eat it daily with rye for breakfast. There's also Laban, but Laban is the drink (like a thicker, sour milk) version which is great on spicy biryani or similar foods to take down the spicy ness. edited by AmyAus82 on 05/02/2013 I also love Al Marai Labaneh, other brands are too sour.
