What about More cafe at Dubai Mall, overlooking the fountains. They do a nice, reasonable afternoon tea and the kids can run about once you are finished. nice view for MIL too. :)

There's also a parade along Emaar Boulevard/Downtown, but not sure what time. Does anyone know if there is a motorbike parade? And usually there is a parade in Mamzar park a couple of days before, does anyone know?

hi it would really depend on your insurance coverage & you would have to check the policy wording. some good policies cover a 'well woman check' which includes pretty much everything. depending on your age they also include heart etc. Most hospitals offer these packages. hth.

First of all i'd get on with those keepsake folder/books that i keep saying i'll do every summer and the little bits/bobs/photos keep piling up in a cupboard. then i'd sort DS' room, from lego to cars to games, everything would be in the right box, have all the pieces WITH instructions and be neatly labelled. Then i'd make a start on the tupperware cupboard. everything would have a lid. there would be no boxes without lids! all the odd socks would be matched up. i'd take my spices out of packets and put them in jars with neatly written labels. make jam. make pickles. learn how to make cupcakes with nice icing, so on those home-baking days at school i could DO it! i'd have my hair done nicely and be presentable when Dh gets home instead of frazzled. i'd go to see all the movies that we want to see but never have time to. read a book! lie on the couch with feet up drinking tea. oh well. :( :-P
