They don't stock a lot of Mac products but are great for many brands of skincare.

I've had the same problem with wrong priced tickets and they refuse to honour. One store told me 'people change the prices and stick on cheap ones, not our fault' How do you explain then why the whole rack is that price??? Also the sales assistants have no power and are afraid if they put something through at the wrong price their pay will be docked. There are very few stores here that offer good customer service. Always check the price underneath the sales tag, as many people have said, quite often you're really not getting a great deal. Albiet there are some good deals in the sales but you need to know your prices and be happy with what you are paying for something.

Not sure about hotels, Jebel Hafeet Hotel had a great deal, but that means driving up the winding road to the top of the mountain. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-3573-mercure-grand-jebel-hafeet-al-ain-hotel/index.shtml The park will be very hot at this time of year and there is very little shade. Personally I would go when the weather is cooler as you willl enjoy it much more. Check their website for opening time. It says opening time 6pm during Ramamdan, but I would imagine it will be busy. http://www.awpr.ae/en/Visit/Pages/OpeningHours.aspx The drive back isn't that bad, it's basically one straight road. <em>edited by TimTam on 01/07/2012</em>

We bought a very expensive one in Chiang Mai from an antique store, they wrapped it in carbon paper, so it doesn't come up on the xray, so they tell me anyway. When we got to customs here they asked me, where have you been? then they asked do you have a statue in your luggage. So I said yes, it's a statue of a man. Then they let me through. Close to the truth!

Captain America that information is not correct, as you can see by my link below. The link is from Apple's website and it lists all authorised dealers. There are 40 in total. <em>edited by TimTam on 26/06/2012</em>

The problem is you may find they are not an Apple authorised dealer. Below is a list I found on Apples website. http://www.apple.com/uk/buy/locator/map.html?tySearch=1&viaProduct=9&viaSpecial=-1&strCountry=ARE&q=dubai <em>edited by TimTam on 26/06/2012</em>

Have a look on their website. Somethings are cheaper some are the same. It depends what you are buying. I have bought from them for years so have a loyalty discount of 10% so that's a bonus. If you order more than 2 items you also get another discount.I use Lancome and in most cases it's cheaper than here. I even ordered my shampoo from them as also cheaper.

Hi doll eyes. The 8500dhs was total for the whole treatment, including monthly visits. You can make an appointment to see them and I believe there is no charge for the initial consultation. http://www.nicolasandasp.com/hcc.html

Also try Virgin as they did have some a few months back when we were looking. Unfortunately they didn't have the one we wanted so we waited until we went to Aus.

I was told by the consulate you could enter Australia no probs under 6 months as you are an Aus citizen, and also coming back here was ok if you have a residency visa. But under 1 month you may have a problem. You could call the Australian consulate and ask, but I would get a new passport. It takes about 10 days to process, or if you are going to Australia, do it when you get there.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt in April, just beautiful. We had 'come and go' travel arrange our transfers, visas and tour to Mekong Delta which is stunning and so worth visiting. I found them on Tripadvisor. We did the homestay in Ben Tre (Mekong) and the house is just lovely and chilled out place to visit. http://comeandgovietnam.com/ We then went to Danang and Hoi An, but have heard Nha Trang is excellent too. Food is so good! We used Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar for internal flights, I must say Vietnam Airlines better with their timing, Jetstar we had a 2hr delay, luckily I knew this happens and left plenty of time for our connection to Dubai. edited by TimTam on 21/06/2012 (because I can't spell!) <em>edited by TimTam on 21/06/2012</em>

Citizen of Humanity have low rise and I also have a pair of Paige denim. You can get them in Bloomingdales, Harvey Nics, Boutique 1. You may even get some during the sales. The last pair I bought were Citizen of Humanity, skinny leg for 500dhs. Not sure if Twillight is referring to 7 for all mankind, if so they have them I think in the above stores and also have their own store in Dubai Mall.

We went to Jaffer Khan without a referral and still claimed on insurance, may depend on who your insurance is with. He did an excellent job on my son's face, you wouldn't even know he had it removed, not a scar at all. <em>edited by TimTam on 16/06/2012</em>

I worked as a TA here for over 4 years. Worked normal school hours, it's the perfect job if you have children in Primary school. I did do extra hours when my children had after school activities as it was too far to drive home and it was just easier to stay.Though this was my choice and not expected of me. The pay definitely doesn't warrant doing extra hours! Never worked a weekend, teachers probably but not TA's,that's crazy. What school are your children at? It's a great job, you meet lovely people, everyday is different and very rewarding.

The perfume shop at the Outlet mall had it quite cheap. I bought the pink bottle for 120dhs. I'm sure I also saw the other one in a gift box. It's the shop upstairs front section of the mall above The One.

Almarai does UHT lactose free milk. I saw it yesterday in Carrefour Mirdiff, it may be better than rice milk. In spinneys you can get Nuttelex, like a margarine but it's dairy free. http://www.nuttelex.com.au/products/nuttelex-original/ That's all my mum uses in Australia and I used it here for my son that had a wheat and daity intolerance. There was a thread the other day also about intolerance. Maybe have a look at that. We found that removing it from my son's diet for 6-12months, he can now have small abouts with no reaction.

I only buy Seafolly. I don't think you can go wrong. They are not cheap but last and don't stretch. They are also expensive in Australia. You can also mix and match piece whcih I really like. When I was home at xmas time the Tankinin tops were AUD $79.99 and bottoms $39.99 so about 450dhs. Mind you it was summer so not on sale. Never bought them here.

Yes the quote for for both top and bottom. Which is very reasonable. Our insurance covers quite a bit of it. Friends go there and are very happy. If you do a search you will see many peoples comments.

Unfortunately reasonable priced and orthodontist don't work. As Deeva said the Nicholas & Asp trainng hospital in Healthcare city is very well priced. I didn't end up using them as the process takes a bit longer and each appointment is longer as it a teaching hospital and it wasn't near us. They were about 1/2 the price of other dentists. I think they quoted me 8500dhs

Almari did do UHT lactose free milk. It's often not availble. Check in Carrefour and Spinneys on the shelf with the UHT milk.

The nutritionist did say that sometimes if they have had several bugs the stomach lining can be damaged. So then many things like dairy/wheat products don't break down properly and pass quickly through the lining of the stomach. (not doctor but hope you get the gist of it) anyway what then happens is when they are tested it can give a false positive. In a lot of cases removing these items from the diet and giving the stomach time to improve can help. I didn't see much improvement after 3 months, we tried to re-introduce but didn't work. Like it said it took us a good 6 months on a strict diet. Dairy was probably 12 months and still now only in small amounts. Obviously this is not the case for everyone, but we were willing to try anything.

There is no embassy in Dubai you would have to go to Abu Dhabi. We did visa on arrival in April and had no problems at all, we were through in about 40 minutes. We booked guides/day trips and Mekong Delta trip which was amazing through Come and Go Vietnam, they also arranged our visa on arrival. http://comeandgovietnam.com/ They also did our airport transfers which was so much easier than taxi's as they can rip you off.

We bought Ipad 2 here, but no facetime, but always use our Australia itunes account. My son has iphone 4s from Australia with facetime and again only uses Australia account. Apple TV we only do updates through Australia store. I would set up a UK account just incase, it doesn;t cost anything.

After much looking around we purchased a carpet from Rashed at Sheba. He was definitely the best on price. He came to our home twice with many rugs, left them with us then came back another time with more options. So helpful and so much easier than going back to Sharjah. If you are looking for a rug, visit the mall shops, narrow down what you want, get an idea of prices then call him and he'll bring what you want if he has them. He was much cheaper than the shops in the mall.

Park n shops bread I think is better than Spinneys. The Hovis is great, half white and half wholemeal. Seeded is yummy too. The Hovis and white loaves also freeze really well.

We saw a nutritionist - Stephanie Karl at Dubai London clinic, she was great. Gave us loads of information and recipes which was so helpful. As solaris said it is definitely worth consulting. DS also took probiotic for children. For us the whole process was successful but it did take time and you need to be very strict with the diet.
