Skyfall, I feel the same as you, I have had 3 different maids from 3 different agencies in the past month and each company refused to take any responsibility or even to respond to complaints I made. The first one broke two vacuum cleaners and left without telling me, the second one chipped my wood table and bookshelf leaving gaping holes in them and the third one took an hour to iron 4 t-shirts and broke the iron. All the agencies responded by saying that they would send a replacement lady the next time, which frustrates me as I really don't have the time to train a new person each time. And all the agencies are well known professional agencies charging premium. I am now completely frustrated with them and am just going to do the cleaning myself!

I think that she may be okay with uncomplicated pregnancies but once you throw in a complication then.... lets just say you never want to be in that situation. I had a terrible experience with her due to a complication and would never go back to her again but I have also read a few reviews on her that were good. So I guess just go with your instinct. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Ah sarahlou123, You've made me laugh today and I desperately needed the giggles! I'm really anxious as I have a gynae appointment tomorrow to discuss the next step. The waiting and not knowing what is going on is the part that really does me in but I'm trying to keep busy, easier said than done!

hi Saralou123, Thank you so much for your response, its the first time I've been able to smile since receiving the results. It took me completely unaware as my previous smears were normal! I've stayed away from googling but have done a bit of research from medical journals just to have an idea of what I'm dealing with. Thank you again for sharing your story

Congratulations mummyoftwoangels! I also had my prenatal care at Al Zahra and I went into premature labour and lost my little one. I had my postnatal care done at City hospital and the obstetricians were amazing, I only wish I had done my prenatal care with them, maybe things would have ended up differently. If you are open to another hospital, I would recommend Dr Azizunisa, Dr George, Dr Britt at City. Sorry I don't have any experience with Zulekha, NMC or Belhoul.

Hi ladies, I had to reply as well, A friend learnt a very harsh lesson with Al Zahra and also thought it was perfect being so close to home and yes, the facilities are great but without adequately experienced competent doctors, the place is just an empty shell. They cannot handle any complications that happen during pregnancies. In her case, She ended up in premature labour and her baby died. I hope this doesnt happen to someone else. Please think carefully about the choice of hospital for delivery. If she had the chance to do it again, she would never go to al zahra, rather drive the 30 -45 minutes and have peace of mind.

Hi ladies, My hubby and I currently live in the Greens in a 2 bedoom apartment which only has one parking space allocated in the basement parking area. We will be purchasing a second car but not sure how to deal with the parking situation as paid parking meters have been placed on all the parking spaces outside the buildings. I have called emaar but they were of no help. Anyone know if its possible to purchase/rent an additional parking space and the cost involved? TIA

Hi ladies, I am also due to start my next IVF cycle at Bourn Hall this week. I have an appointment with Dr Robertson and hopefully will have the all clear to begin. I would love to meet for a coffee and chat sometime. Good luck to everyone and sending lots of baby dust your way!

Hi Ember! I am so sorry for your loss, your post is a flashback for me. In December I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and I have to admit that I spent a good while being angry at the world as it took us 2 years and IVF to conceive. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about it but things do get easier and now DH and I are finally ready to try again. Being hopeful and positive that we will have a baby is what has kept us from falling apart emotionally. My advice would be to take some time out to deal with everything that has happened then focus on preparing your body and mind once again and most of all stay positive. I'm sending you lots of hugs and if you ever need to chat about anything, please feel free to send me a mssge! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi CarmenN32, Choosing an IVF clinic is quite daunting here and I was in the same position last year, after lots of googling I decided to go with Bourn Hall and achieved a pregnancy on my first cycle however it wasn't a successful pregnancy (due to circumstances beyond our control) and so I am on to cycle 2 again at Bourn Hall. I found the care extremely personalised and although they are a bit more expensive, they are worth every fil. Everyone from the nurses and doctors to the embryology team have been amazing and have taken time to answer all my questions and made me feel very comfortable at an incredibly stressful time. I actually did an IUI cycle at a fertility clinic in Sharjah as my gynaecologist recommended it and that experience felt like mass production to the point that my hubby refused to do any further cycles with them and I have to say that it was the best decision we have made. Best of luck choosing the clinic, take your time and choose one that you are comfortable with and maybe speak to other ladies who have been to the various clinics. Lots of baby dust to you!

We have lived in the Greens for about five years and absolutely love it, our apartment is on the views side with the high risers and the space is great, much larger than most of the apartments that we viewed in other areas. Its a very short walk to Greens Village which has nice restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy, boooksplus, Kodak, Tips n Toes and Shima beauty. The athmosphere is great with lots of couples as well as families. The area is well maintained and we have a gym on the ground floor and lovely pool overlooking the lakes. DH and I love taking evening strolls around the lakes.

Hi Kittykat72, I'm sending you lots of hugs, I know exactly how you feel, DH and I have been TTC for over a year and a half now and every month it is quite frustrating and depressing with lots of tears but I am trying to remain positive that it will happen :) I changed to a specialist gynaecologist in January who is amazing and very supportive and I am confident in her expertise. She has walked DH and I through all the fertility tests and we discovered that the issue was actually with DH and we have had our first IUI with her this weekend, so I am patiently waiting for the 2 week period to end. I suggest going to a dr and having all the basic tests done on yourself and your DH to make sure that all is in order, you could buy ovulation predictor kits to pin point your fertile time in the month. Please don't ever think of yourself as a failure, stay positive and think about the precious bundle of joy that you will one day be holding in your arms. Sending you lots of baby dust and cyber hugs!!!!!
