Unfortunately Farine 74, driving a manual car is completely different to an automatic. One of the main reasons are you have 3 pedals not 2 and there are gear changes. As far as I am aware you will have to do a complete driving course and test to get your manual license. Good luck

My DS does not suffer the same, but has Haglands Deformity on both of his feet. He sufferers from heel pain. Our doctor suggested physio (which did help a lot). At the moment the problem is not there but can flare up every couple of months. We were advised to use insoles which had arch support. In Dubai Mall next to Waitrose there is a shop called, I think, Foot Lab. The lady I spoke to in there knew her stuff and also said the same things that the physio had said. She suggested these insoles. My DS nows wears them all the time and is pain free. They also sell shoes and sandals. Maybe worth a trip down to have a chat. Good luck edited by wiggywig on 07/07/2012 Thank you so much widdywig for the reply. will visit the DM store uv mentioned. How much did the insoles cost? I think they are dhs375 a pair. For my DS well worth the money and have helped him. Not sure whether they would help your mum but maybe worth a chat to them. The make my DS has is Vasyli and come in all sizes. Hope your mum gets relief soon.

no..the bread is more important wait, the kid would grill better.... hmm..good point. Or we could use him for bartering. We could swap him for safe passage on a ship Oi, that is my child we are talking about, but I do have another one the same age and also knows karate Twins? ok forget the bread. With twins we could barter for air tickets So let me get this straight. You don't want my tv remote or bread, you just want both of my kids now.

I am sorry but I strongly disagree with that. Their French programme is not for native speakers and they only have 2 x 45 minute lessons per week. JPS is the natural progression for students leaving the Chidlren Garden and most of these students are already fluent in French or native speakers yet JPS doesn't offer them a proper prgramme. My son is in year 3 in a different school and they offer a French A ( native) & B lessons 2 times a week and we pay 42K per year for the IB programme!!! We just supplment the French by speaking at home. If you look at the top of this page, there is a banner for JPS adversting for all year groups. They are not an established school and they are over the top with their fees. edited by derien on 28/06/2012 Derien I am assuming you mean JBS as JPS is a completely different school altogether

We are in Umm Sequiem 2 and have felt nothing. They have just opened up 5 stations around Dubai to monitor/record earthquakes. You don't suppose they are testing these stations as these "reported tremors" seem to be bizarre, as in only affecting windows.

Home Centre, Homes R Us and IKEA do nice things that don't cost the earth. Like Kelly1814 said you could buy some big canvas type pictures. How about buying some screens that could separate parts of your room, for instance to make a proper dining area or a living room. How exciting for you. x

Low lighting (lamps), rugs, lots of framed photos of family, cushions. Any niknaks that are special to you and your family. It does take a while to make a home, but have you thought that some people might think your house already feels like home. Peoples interpretation of a home are always different. Good luck

How much does an Al Jazeera viewing card cost? Some satellite installation guy was quoting between 620 to 740 Dhs for a one yr sub for the viewing card but that sounds very expensive!! I am not on Du but I do have a Humax Abu Dhabi Sports decoder. Also, has any one been able to find the card in the Jumeirah area...don't fancy a trip to Bur Dubai if I can help it!!! DH bought his card (1 year) for dhs385 from a petrol station and it does work in the Humax Abu Dhabi Sports decorder, just place the card in the spare slot (you will have to redownload the channels again).

We were offered 2 diff packages and one was with 9+ and 10+ and the other was without? Think the cheaper package was 33dhs and for all the channels it was 55dhs. Maybe check which package you bought? We have just checked +9 and +10 are both in arabic and you can't change it to english. The only english one that we have on the Al Jazeera card is JSC Sports Events

DH bought the Al Jazeera card for dhs385 (1 year, as he should also be able to get all the FA cup games as well) at a petrol station over the weekend. It takes 24 hours to activate and works perfectly in the Abu Dhabi Sports decoder :)

DH has asked to me ask you lovely ladies whether the Al Jazeera cards can be put in to either the OSN box or the Abu Dhabi Sports box. Really hoping we do not have to go and buy another decoder. TIA x My DH said you need to check to see if your decoder has a free slot in it that would accommodate a card that is about the size of a credit card. HTH Thanks. Does your DH know whether it will work in the OSN or Abu Dhabi Sports box. We have just found the World Cup decoder which we bought 2 years ago, it says Al Jazeera on it. I wonder whether it will work with that one. Will try and buy the card tomorrow. Hopefully it will work on one of the 3 decoders we have. Mind you, knowing here you will probably have to buy a new decoder with a new dish lol x edited by wiggywig on 01/06/2012
