Information about gaining a residence visa for Vietnam is not widely promoted because it is usually sorted out by your employer or relocation manager as standard.
If you need to gain a business visa for your stay in Vietnam the following procedure should be taken:
If you have a sponsor in Vietnam, (usually this would be your employer) you can get an official entry clearance form from them and then apply for a business visa with multiple entries valid for one year.
If, however you do not have a sponsor in Vietnam you can only apply for a business visa valid for 90 days. For further information regarding an entry clearance form click here>>
Make sure to submit your application no earlier than 6 months before your departure.
You will need to submit the following documents:
A Valid passport
Completed application form
Please Note: A business visa is not sufficient if you plan to live and work in Vietnam on a long-term basis.
