We've heard it all the time: drink more water! And still, most of us fail to prioritize it. As a result, we may begin to notice changes in our sense of well-being.
Just like a car alerts you when it is running out of fuel, your body sends out some signs that it needs to be hydrated. Here are 6 signs that you are dehydrated and need to drink more water.
1. You have chapped lips
If you have chapped lips despite constantly applying lip balm, it's a sign you need to up your H2O intake.

2. You have dry skin
If your skin is dry despite regular moisturisation, you need to drink more water.

3. You have headaches
If your head is throbbing and the pain only seems to be getting worse it often means that your body is dehydrated. In fact, an inadequate intake of water can trigger a migraine!

4. You feel tired all the time
If you are resting well but still feel sluggish and tired all of the time, you might be dehydrated.

5. You're constipated
TMI alert: your body needs to be hydrated in order to pass waste through your digestive tract. So if you haven't had enough water, it is going to be difficult for your body to pass that waste.

6. You're irritable and moody
Research has shown that you only need to be 1% below your optimal level of hydration to feel negative neurological effects like irritability and moodiness.
