I have a small cushion reupholstery job that I need done and I need someone who is easy to find as I'm hopeless in karama and satwa. Someone who comes to the house would be even better. Doesn't have to be the best or cheapest, just convenient. Many, many thanks.

Where and when is this event? Thanks. 29 September at al Fattan in the Marina per the flyer. No idea where that is. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=136116933152539&set=o.247427925293147&type=1&theater

Thanks Nutty, that's great. I want to go to that one! DC, not exactly. It's 200 dh to sell 50 items, then 150 dh per 50 items after that. The great part is that you just drop the stuff off - they do the selling and money collection - and they return it to you if it doesn't sell. You don't even have to go. As for pricing, they said they would "adjust" if you're too optimistic.

They're not too high, 200 dh, certainly not what you'd pay at a consignment shop, but dubizzle is free... Of course, then you have to sell them yourselves, right??? Anyone going? If I weren't done with babies I would have loved this, too bad they didn't do this 2 years ago.

There is a bra lady here - her company is called Boudoir Chic - and she does carry some minimizers. She's lovely. You can see her on Facebook. If you know your fit and size, you could also order from www.lindathebralady.com . She has loads of styles and colors and a really simple search engine. And they ship to Dubai. Norak, if you like lillyette, you would probably love wacoal's minimizers. They cost a bit more but last forever.

Yep, they're right up there with the idiots. I had the same thing over a home package that had been cancelled a year previously. i could not believe how long they kept me on hold for, it must be company policy. In the end I told the woman that I didn't believe she needed to place me on hold YET AGAIN and she was to keep my on the line. She didn't... My mobile is with Du and I do find that dealing with actual people at the booths in the mall is really easy. I found the same with Etisalat - the people on the phone are useless, but the kiosk people are fast and easy and solve the issue.

Phil&Teds double. Vibe is heavier than the Sport/Explorer, but either way, it's a fabulous workhorse of a buggy and very comfy for both. Agreed, although as they get older #2 gets sick of looking at #1's back. Mine is 14 months and just sits and kicks his sister. I saw a city select (I think that was the name) in the states and it was very similar to the P&T but both kids could see out. If I did it over, I would try that.

I'm not in the market anymore so can't answer your question, but I have a medela swing that's collecting dust. It's got both battery and plug - not for hard core pumping, but good enough for once a day. We're done with babies per DH, so it's just taking up valuable space - you are welcome to have it.

thats why I gave the dummy, because I thought it would be easier to take away than a thumb, but I think I've actually read somewhere now that the dummy is worse for the palate. (even the orthodontic ones) According to my paed, thumb is the worst because they push on the upper palate, which, according to him is the toughest dental problem to fix. Dummies are better as there isnt as much pressure on the upper palate. He says fingers are fine. My poor thumb sucker...

I know they stock upto a J cup but dont know there availability ..and i have never been up .. never seem to get the chance - they had an open day on the 15th .. i keep harping on about it and ive never been .. much use i am .. but i know a collegue who is there all the time and she swears by them ..i used to have by own shops in the uk and got everything free but now its all looking a bit tired ..i am a 32g too .. when are their sale days ?? do you know ?? and .... if your going let me know .. ill drive .... DESPERATE for new undies now :\: edited by bowbellscowbells on 20/06/2011 Haha, I was just thinking that myself. They are having a viewing/show/sale with Hunni. It's tomorrow night and Wednesday morning. My FB is acting up, but if you search for Hunni and like, it should get you there. Alternatively, I could email you the info/invite. I'd love to go, but it would require being in two places I think. I'm still thinking about how to do it, LOL. Let me know if you're going and how it is if you do.

It is true that bra sizes differ depending on style and brand of the bra. Always try before you buy : ) There are some great tips and tricks on the internet that you can check to make sure the bra firs properly. As a 36H girl myself :\: I cannot find anywhere that stocks the bra's I need/want. Anyone ever seen any Prima Donna bra's being sold anywhere in Dubai??? Have you tried boudoir chic in AR ?? Have you tried them BBCB? They are having a sale event this week with Hunni and I was wondering if it was worth trucking to AR. I'm a 32g, and I love chantelle bras. Expensive, but pretty and supportive. You can find them at saks or bloomies, but I don't know how wide their range of sizes are here.

I'll look up the name, but it is in the Magrudy's shopping complex and the sell by the cup-size and go up to H size I believe. I saw some pictures and they looked good. I looked it up and it's called Bare Essentials Swimwear. Here's their facebook. https://www.facebook.com/bareessentialsme

Oh yeah, txjuliet, the Actifry is great! I did spicy wedges in mine last night and they were fab. Regular chips/french fries done in the Actifry are delicious :) It's fantastic. Haven't tried wedges, next on the agenda. I did sweet potato fries the other day and they were ok. I made buffalo chicken wings over the weekend and they were the best I've had in ages. Yum, yum. OP, sorry for the tangent!

Why do you cook separate meals for your children? Why don't they eat what you are eating? For us, on weekends we all eat the same meal, but on weekdays DH doesn't get home until the kids are almost in bed so I'd have to prepare two meals anyway as I'm not a stew/hot dish person. Also, the kids get a lot of carbs for growth whereas my mummy tummy is on carb avoidance. It works for us. ETA tonight they had French fries in the new actifry (marvelous) and cheese burgers. Desert was a banana and a yogurt. edited by txjuliet on 19/06/2011

SJones - what is Buggyfit? Buggyfit is an exercise class built around things you can do whilst pushing a buggy with bub. The ones I've been to involved a lot of walk/run/lunges and some rubber ropey work as well as step ups, but the main thing is you have baby with you. PureFit does them, but it's too hot now. Edited for horrible spelling. edited by txjuliet on 04/06/2011

FloridaGirl, congratulations on your first ARTE. I'm sure it will be a success. I don't sell there, but they do have a facebook group so maybe you could ask the question on there. Like Shazman, I don't haggle but I have had a person offer me a slightly lower price after I checked something out and said that I didn't have that much money. I don't know what you're selling, but maybe instead of letting someone haggle, be prepared to offer a little off if they buy in multiples? Then you could just say that prices are fixed but there's a discount for buying more. Good luck.

My best advice for gas ovens is to buy a simple temperature gauge (I have two, one in the back and one in front!) as the temperature can vary by as much as 20 degrees in my oven from what the dial says it's on.
