Try the coffee shop upstairs attached to the toy shop. They have a small children's play area in it.

Hi Trixie83. I'm looking to sell our cat tree/scratch post. It's immaculate and cost 600 new. We got it for our cat who had a growth spurt and now is too big for it and won't use it. I was about to put it on dubizzle for 200 if you are interested. It's 3 tiers with a bed on the top and is as new. I'm in the uk till Thursday but after then you could come and see it if you're interested. We're located on the Ranches.

Try the Ritz Carlton that has recently opened there. They have an amazing kids club and the service is great. I have a few friends who have stayed there recently and they are all raving about it.

Wow, Juli, you are brave trying to sort out an itinerary like this yourself. As a travel counsellor I go to specialist tour operators to sort out something like this. Weather depends on where you go . Afternoon tropical downpours are the norm in April– which are heavier and more predictable beside the coast and on the islands. The humidity is high and daily temperatures reach the low-mid 30°s. Would you like me to look for you? There are some amazing tented camps and lodges. Selous Riverside Camp in Selous National Park is amazing where you can stay in a safari tent. Let me know when you have my details so that I can remove them

CurlyOB Its very much a personal decision. I sell holidays to the Maldives regularly and different families want different things. Cost wise AI is the way to go as many islands once you are in resort charge a premium for drinks and food so you avoid the worry of a big bill at the end of your holiday. However on the downside depending on which hotel/island you choose some AI means you can only eat in one of their restaurants for all your meals, even if they have 6 different ones to choose from. It can also limit where you can drink alcohol as it may be once again only in the restaurant area and not around the pool at the pool bar. This is something to make sure you know about, specifically down to the accommodation you choose to stay at. Hope this helps

Totally agree with the ladies below. Bandos fab for families and you can get interconnecting rooms, giving you the two separate bedrooms. Some great prices for Bandos too and only a short speedboat transfer which keeps your costs down.

I have booked lots of ski in Lebanon in the last week with everyone choosing to stay at the intercontinental in Mzaar. Booking up quickly for the Feb holiday break but some good offers still available, especially as a package with flights. Rooms are on a Half Board basis. Have booked people into Terre Brune hotel too but Intercontinental definitely the most popular.

Hi, It really depends what sort of holiday you like. Some of the hotels are lively and focused on younger holiday makers others are smaller and better for just adults. It depends on your taste really. The best time of year to visit is - High season for travel falls between December and April. During these months the weather tends to be sunny, with temperatures hovering around 85ºF (30ºC) during the day and rarely dipping far below 65ºF (18ºC) at night. While this time of year offers the most pleasant weather, it is also most popular with tourists, which drives prices up, especially during the Christmas holiday season between mid-December and the beginning of January. Travellers planning trips near Christmas or Easter and Spring Break should plan well in advance and book their accommodations early. Many resorts drop their prices immediately after Easter, so this can be an ideal time to take a more economical vacation while the weather is still bearable.

Hi Imolinar, Have you consiedered the Isola Di Cocco Hotel in Kerala. Or perhaps combining a hotel stay with this:- The Backwaters of Kerala One of the most memorable experiences for many travellers in Kerala is a boat journey on the state's famous backwaters. The best-known of these areas is Kuttanad, situated between the hills in the west and the Arabian Sea, and stretching for 50 miles south of Kochi (formerly Cochin). This extraordinary maze of rivers, lakes, canals and estuaries is lined with dense tropical greenery, and reveals a Keralan lifestyle that is totally hidden from the road. Boats are the only way to explore this area, billed as Kaleidoscope Kerala, where views change around every bend: narrow tree-covered canals open onto dazzling vistas of paddy fields, and through the trees can be glimpsed churches, mosques and temples, and small farms and villages which remain almost untouched by the modern world. Buffaloes are used for ploughing the fields and women bathe and wash their clothes in the rivers. Roads do cross this area, but are almost entirely linked by manually-operated ferries rather than bridges. Kingfishers, cormorants and fish eagles compete with fisherman in rowing boats for the dwindling fish population. Providing visitors with the chance to just sit back and allow life to unfold around them at its own, slow pace, a trip on the Keralan backwaters is the ideal tonic for travel fatigue. Hope this info helps.

Hi Basil, Is it specifically this area that you are looking for. I have just been looking for a holiday for a customer in Chamonix around the mid term break and there were triple rooms available in some nice 4 star hotels.

Hi, April is a great time to visit Iceland, with spectacular sunrises and sunsets as warmth returns after winter with the benefit of longer daylight hrs and still remains of heavy snowfall from March. There is so much to recommend from visitng the Blue Lagoon, whale whatching, hot springs, bubbling mud pools and you can combine it with an overnight stay in Greenland to view the icebergs, glaciers and polar bears. So much to see. Flights from DXB to Rekjavik with Air France and Icelandair, Qatar and Icelandair and KLM and Icelandair.

We had the take out last year, the turkey was gorgeous, yummy sausages, gravy good and potatoes yummy but stuffing and veg a bit of a let down. If you cook a few of your own as we did you'll be fine. We even got a xmas pud with brandy sauce! Polo club location was handy for us and would get it again. Be warned the turkey is massive, it easily feeds 10 people!

Hi yasq, I have children at DSO and they are now starting their second year here. Very happy with school and teachers. My children are in class sizes of 20 and 25. The class size gets larger the older the child, however they have said the class will not go above 27. can't really say anything bad about the school apart from the parking situation. Facilities are amazing and extra support is provided in classes with children that need a bit of extra help. Good luck with your decision making.

Hi johjoh he is 8. His teacher expressed concern that he's a bright boy but that he was struggling to get this across in his written work due to his writing being so poor. Not only is it messy but he writes very slowly too. He's not getting the volume of work done in a set time. I think I'll try with the books little and often.

Thank you I'll have a look at those. Was hoping maybe somebody else could do the tutoring though. It's not that I don't want to spend the time on it, just that my son takes it more seriously and puts in more effort for an official teacher!

Hi jolieRT, both my 2 are similar age to yours and they both wear school skirt and shorts from the school supplier. You would be hard pushed to find them in the uk as they have a pinstripe in the skort and shorts. I haven't seen any children not in the official uniform. All FS 2 kiddies also seem to have the school book bag. You don't need a school book bag for yr 3 but will need a rucksack or something similar. There is a school one but as long as it's dark blue/black in colour I have seen kids with other makes. Good luck with starting the school. My children are thriving there! When you arrive if you fancy a play date let me know as my boy is the older one too, hey they may even be in the same classes.

To be honest don't be too concerned if you can't go. We recently stayed there as a family of 4 and service was dire, accom in an ocean front suite was shabby. Hotel run down and very " Benidorm" not your usual Rotana standard! Probably why they're doing an offer, wouldn't go back.

My friend was in the same situation as you Noshi. All our friends had girls and boys and she had 2 boys. Her and her husband decided to have one more and crossed their fingers for a girl. Only to have twin boys. Boy have they got their hands full now! I would say if you both want another child then expect to have boy look forward to all that comes along with boys and then if it's a girl it will be a lovely surprise! Good luck with whatever you choose to do

Genie, I find it hard to believe that it is because of me buying the last 6 bottles of cordial that this is where it has all gone. I bought them because they are sold out everywhere. As Sue62 and hilsbils suggests I think whoever the powers that be are that decide what comes into the UAE or not, have decided this is just not on their list anymore. My 6 bottles hardly constiute taking stock as soon as it comes onto the shelves. A little melodramatic I think!

shjbelle, and your point is??? This is not the fruit cordial/squash we are talking about. It is not a ready made "drink as it comes drink", like a fruit shoot. Its a concentrate that you dilute with no added sugar? This thread is not supposed to be a lecture...just a question about where to get some juice....honestly sometimes this forum does your head in!

Does anyone know why all the stores seem to have no stock of Robinsons cordial. Its the only fruit juice my children will drink and Spinneys, Le Marche and Carrefour do not have any stock, and haven't for the last week. Is this another of those products you get used to and then "Bam" you can't get it anymore! Drives me mad.

Ditto nels reply mine are all ready for picking at the minute. As for directions, went once with hubby and put it in the sat nav so my directions are probably not so good. I go on the by pass road towards Silicon Oasis from AR and head for the signs for sewage treatment plant. You'll see it just after that. Loads of stuff down there and half the price of the garden centres.
