Actually, they've stopped importing it a year (or more!) ago but I was hoping maybe someone had seen it on a shelf or purchased it recently! Looks like I may just have to purchase online. Boo!

Celticcavegirl, which pharmacy do you find your Retin-A? I've been searching for ages and a pharmacist told me it was in short supply in the UAE and I was better off trying to buy it online????? Have you bought it recently???? Or anyone that's seen it, please let me know!

Another fan of Dr. Jennifer --- after an 18 month search for a good gynecologist that I felt COMFORTABLE with (a search that also included one of the WORST medical experiences of my entire life!) I found Dr. Jennifer and she is AMAZING.

I've heard you can go to Thailand for some great detoxes but I haven't been. I'd love to try it, though! I adore the cleanse the Cafe Baroque offers - 3 or 7 day, it's fantastic! They delivery to you fresh every day, and it's delicious! It's super easy to book as well -- shoot them an email, give them your information, and I paid cash on my first delivery.

I was CONVINCED my girl would be three weeks late, being my first baby and all ... then she was born at 35 weeks, with no warning whatsoever -- 4 hours after my water broke while I was doing laundry! I barely had time to finish drying my hair and putting on makeup before I went to the hospital! lol

Yeah, my feedback is -- she's amazing!!!! Of all the doctors I've seen since moving to Dubai, I've never felt as comfortable with anyone as I've felt with her -- and it's actually my DD that is her patient, so I certainly wouldn't take my 10 year-old to a "product pusher" or a dermatologist that was big into "cosmetic treatments."

Our insurance covers the Mediclinics so I'm not sure what the fees are, I just pay a deductible. I call their main appointment line to schedule (which is 04 4495111).

Desert, I took my DD yesterday for an appointment and was saying to DH last night how I wish I could see Dr. Muna for everything! 14 months in Dubai and still struggling to find a GP, gyn, pediatrician, and dentist we feel comfortable with! At least we've found an amazing dermatologist......

Dr. Muna Hassan is an amazing dermatologist at Dubai Mall Mediclinic. She's absolutely lovely and of all the medical professionals we've been to in Dubai, she is my favorite. I wish we could see her for everything!

I've been on the same search for 14 months now! No luck so far -- and I have now tried 18 different waxes. I miss "Precision Brows by Glenda" back home more than I miss my own mother! Next month, I'm trying yet another [url=http://eyebrowsdubai.com/'>place[/url'> -- I've read some fantastic reviews, so my fingers are crossed!

I absolutely loathe packing lunches as well...my girl trades almost everything or throws half of it away! For the kids that like pesto(we're HUGE fans here!) , [url=http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/spinach-basil-pesto/'>this[/url'> is the recipe I make when sending to school - it's a fabulous nut free alternative and still delicious! I have [url=http://www.people.com/people/celebritybabies/gallery/0,,20720382,00.html'>these[/url'> I will be trying once school starts in September, and I will be repeating a few from [url=http://www.mommyskitchen.net/2012/08/back-to-school-lunch-box-ideas-recipe.html'>this[/url'> or [url=http://www.mommyskitchen.net/2011/08/back-to-school-lunch-box-ideas_16.html'>that[/url'> (she loves the DIY pizza lunchables!).

The not having cash in an emergency would concern me the most - like arohadxb, I would be worried about something happening to you or your daughter and not having any money to leave the house, get to a hospital, etc - I would absolutely make sure to have at least a couple k in cash (preferably in a safe that's bolted to the wall!).

No Entertainer vouchers but if it's just food (and this isn't dinner and drinks) then Cafe Madeleine at Dubai Mall has the absolute best view of the fountains, and the food is fab. If we're in the mood to watch the fountains, this is our #1 pick, every time! Then we just walk over to Souk al Bahar for drinks. :)

I'm devastated! I love their BBQ sauce and their ribs -- and there aren't a lot of other places where you can go out to dinner and get 4 drinks for 100 aed! They're selling every single thing off the walls if you want to stop in and get a momento and have your very own piece of Dubai history! :)

It's short (chin length), not thick, but there is A LOT of it! It's fine, though...nothing works for everyone, right?? It was just a lot more than I expected to pay at the time. They were still absolutely lovely there!

We actually found it without a problem yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise! The ladies were absolutely lovely. However, we decided against the treatment -- she quoted me 1,000 AED instead of the original 200 AED, so we'll just stick with the Afro salons and the relaxers. Thanks for the information, though!

I would call Cash Converters on SZR. I had a friend that moved back to the US in May and she donated almost her entire house to Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs.

abby_n_christina & rose717, just want to thank you for your recommendation -- I called Beauty Plus Salon to see about a consultation for rebonding, and the woman I spoke with was so helpful and informative, and this was just over phone (and then later text). I look forward to going next week and having my consultation and hopefully the service! It's so rare to receive such excellent customer service over the phone in Dubai!
