Good school, my DD goes to FS2, mixed nationality, diverse backgrounds. From what i hear FS1 class size is has gone up from 20 to 26 and in my DD's class there are 26 kids. We had a 9% fee increase this year and will be having 9% 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. Just keep above in mind.

To make it simple, when we travelled last year to 2 schengen countries, the maximum stay in whichever country is where u need to apply your visa. In your case is germany. It doesnt matter if your first entry is Swiss. I our case we entered Paris first for 3 days and than 10 days in Spain. We had to go through VFS Spain. Hotel bookings are a must if your are staying in hotels for both destinations.

I am a veggie and yes wouldnt eat off the same grill, u can buy a disposable one that u can get in supermarkets. Grilled hallomi is fab, u can buy off the shelf in the cheese section. Get paneer/bell peppers/shallots/cherry tomatoes in a scewer with yogurt/chilli/salt and pepper marinade. Portobello mushrooms is one easy way, just mixt butter/garlic and herbs and grill it. Parboil the potatoes and marinate it will pesto and grill it. Hope above helps Have Fun!!

U will hv to go through VFS in wafi, first take an online appointment and get your documents ready in accordance to your purpose of visit. If u have travelled to other Schengen countries in last 2 yrs, the chances of getting visa is quicker. Here is the website http://www.vfsglobal-de-ae.com/

We went yesterday with our DD 3.5yrs and she had a blast. Just make sure u make her wear thermals and full sleeves, waterproof gloves and she will be fine. She did the donut ride couple of times and cudnt get enought of the sledge. Santa's grotto was beautiful and he actually looked like a Santa. Penguins were too cute. If she like story telling, they hv one between 5-7 with Santa. All in all u must take her.... worth a visit during Christmas.

Looks like u got into Horizon for 2 kids if I am correct. Every school asked for deposit which varies from 5-10k, unfortunetly u fall in 10k bracket. Worst is u get between 5-10 days to come up with the deposit which is insane. We as parents do not have much choice coz there are no regulations.

My DD is June born too, what I liked about my DD nursery is, they divided the kids into Oct-feb born and march-Aug born which really helps. Schools i guess will mix the age groups and she will be one of the youngest.

Just a tip, when you are shopping on Macy's the prices in USD are much cheaper than AED. It is better to open a shop and ship a/c and get it delivered.

We have a mortgage property too, I am just looking at my titledeed, it is in my name. How is it possible that titledeed is not in your name. The banks wont release the original to u unless u pay up your entire outstanding which is fair.

Dont know about Willow but dont put her in Kensington. My DD was in Kensington Jumeirah last year sept-dec, I had to pull her out. She didnt hv a permanent teacher. Every 2 weeks there was a temp staff. She is a vegetarian and was very well stated to them but she was given chicken and beef. I realised when i went through her diary. The head who is running the nursery is not very helpful and problem solving. In 3 mths she never setttled in and there were handful kids in the class. There is more TV time than play or lean time. Every morning drop off was crying and clinging and getting ready for the nursery was another story. I moved her start of this year to Jebel Ali Village Nursery in Marina and never been so happy. She settled from day 1. There is a structure and system in place unlike Kensington. Every day when i get back from work, she is so happy to discuss what she did in the nursery. I could see tremendous behavioral changes in her after the change in nursery. She became outgoing and happy kid.

Nopes this was when we were travelling to Greece last year. You hv to apply through the country u are travelling and staying most. For us it will be Spain coz we will be in Spain for 12 days and France 3 days. They say it take between 1-3 weeks depends on teh nationality. It helps if u hv travelled to Schegen countries in last 3 years. Process gets easy

I have a close friends DD attending TT in JBR, she is very happy. They hv great outdoor area and it is spanking new. F&F is very homely and small, have a friends DS attending and happy with them. No outdoor playarea. Fee difference between both is a alot. Depends what you are looking. From your post i understand fee is an issue so guess u need to decide. In all both nurseries are good.

We are travelling to Spain and France early Aug and we got an appoitment on 16th July. I applied though VFS 2 weeks back. It was def easy to apply through Greek Embassy in Abu Dhabi, took us 4 days. VFS is a nightmare. The site says u need to apply 1 mth in advance from your travel date. I belive u can walk in and apply as VIP by paying extra, what a way to make money. No gaurantee u will get the visa quicker.

Same boat as u, havnt secured a place for my DD in FS2, we dont hv a choice but to continue in the nursery. Not that I am complaining about the nursery coz she loves it. It is difficult to get admission in FS2 and I am not willing to pay ridiculous fees for the new schools which are opening up this year. My DH queued up at one of the schools this morning from 5:30 and still was 26th on waiting list. I am getting more and more worried.
