My daughter goes there and we have been very happy with the care she receives. She is quite a difficult case and the doctors have worked together to help her and explain everything so she is less stressed about it all.

I would suggest that you get in touch with Linda Tedd at Pet Express Dubai. She is an expert in animal relocation and will be able to give you very honest advice and organise everything. She's brilliant!

My daughter's dad went to a solicitor in the UK and gave written permission for my daughter to live here and be sponsored by my husband. We then had this document legalised by the FCO and attested by the UAE Embassy in the UK. It was the same procedure we used for legalising degree certificates.

DD is going through orthodontist treatment at Dr Joy. Her dentist is fabulous - Dr Shamaila. It will cost us 18000 but we went for the more expensive metal braces as they are smaller and quicker. We paid a deposit of around 2000 and now pay 1000 a month. We're very pleased because it's a difficult case and they have been wonderful with her dentist phobia.

I saw on 38smiles rescue facebook page that two gorgeous puppies have come into their care (Vienna vet clinic). Rather horrifically, they each have had a paw cut off in what looks like abuse but they are under fantastic care now, so 38smiles will soon be looking for loving foster / forever homes for these beautiful souls who deserve a second start in life I know maybe not what OP is looking for (as I think they want someone to take them as a pair as they are siblings) but posting just in case anyone else out there might be able to. I met the puppies tonight. Oh my goodness, they are SO cute! Poor things. Stumpy has to have his leg amputated tomorrow because the damage is too bad, but the other one will be fine :)

Look at intrepid or the adventure company. They do family holidays and some with teen departures. Great for only children as there are others there for them to hang out with.

Adopt, please. There are so many cats and kittens who have been dumped and need homes. I saw a beautiful white Persian type cat at Vienna Vets yesterday who was dumped and is looking for a home. I'm not sure how old they were, but not a young kitten. Remember that kittens are very hard work and don't stay kitten like for long. Adopting a slightly older kitten will be easier and they're still very very playful and cuddly. There are many charities you can contact. Try 38smiles as they very often have abandoned fluffies looking for homes.

I think Alice will be very good. I know one of the young actors in it and he's excellent. Looking at the people who have organised the cast, i think they will ensure that it is a superb show.

You have to include Hoi An! It is absolutely beautiful and very chilled. They also have some good tailors there if you are staying for a few days. We also visited the temples at Siem Reap and if you want some history, the Killing Fields is an interesting, but quite harrowing visit.

38smiles have some gorgeous kittens at the moment. Also some lovely slightly older cats looking for forever homes. I would suggest you consider an older kitten or young cat. Their foster parents can tell you all about their personality which is something you can't predict with a kitten :)

A lovely dog has been found by the Waitrose on Al Thanya Street. He is clearly someone's pet - recently groomed, nice collar and microchipped. The vet can't match the microchip to anyone though. If you think he might be your dog or you know who he might belong to, please contact Vienna Veterinary Clinic. Edited to add that he is a black standard schnauzer. edited by dxbrun on 13/09/2014

It is so much better to be that way round. You don't want to have to be at school all the time dealing with bad behaviour there! Frustrating I know. My LO is the same :)

We use vonage. We have a special VPN router with ddrt that allows us to have a UK phone number. Please don't ask what that is because I haven't got a clue! DH says there are companies that will do the whole thing for you - vpn4sip.com. Skype to Skype video works fine without a VPN.

Picasa web albums. You can download the picasa software to your PC first. This will help you catalogue your photos and then you can upload them via a free google account. You then just email the link :)

What about Guides? If she's close to 14, she could look at the Senior Section because then she could become a Young Leader and help out at Brownies. http://girlguidingdubai.wordpress.com/senior-section/ Try DUCTAC for art classes. Posh Paws animal sanctuary often want volunteers I think.

So pleased you found your kitty! We were always advised to keep a cat in for 6 weeks when you move so that it knows where its new house is. I realise this may be difficult for a cat which is used to being outdoors, but it will also give her time to eyeball the other cat through the window and start establishing her territory.

Haven't looked for a while, but they did used to sell them in the organic food shop. Not a brilliant range of flavours though. Lakeland did a long while ago, but then although they sold the machine, they stopped being allowed to sell the actual sachets.

Adopt-me.ae are trying to set up a national database of microchips in the UAE I think. If it works, it should make lost and found pets so much easier to reunite with their family. If you haven't seen the website, have a look; they're doing a great job of keeping a database of animals from the various charities that are looking for homes.

I can highly recommend Diverse. They do musical theatre classes which involve an hour each of singing, drama and dance. I think this is the closest to Stagecoach. They are very professional and train the students brilliantly. The students are even offered chances to perform and earn a bit of money on occasions too.

I've done it in person and online. In person at a travel agent means that your parents will not be asked for the credit card at the airport because it has been verified. That's what they told me anyway. The online one I totally forgot he might be asked for my credit card and luckily he wasn't!

Totally safe and a wonderful experience. I can highly recommend it. The people are so friendly. Suggest you go with a company though because they will make sure you see the best things, eat at good restaurants and should have other children too which is useful on journeys. We went with The Adventure Company - the Indochina Family Adventure. Explore do a similar tour I think.

They say it is the "West End Experience" that you are paying for. The chance to have theatrical training and performance experience. It is a huge commitment and you are looking at a lot of after school practices, some of which go on until 9:30-10pm on a school night. You must also be prepared to be expected to pay for costumes and full price tickets to go and watch the show too. I think it is a great experience and the children love it though.

It depends on what you are looking to do. We went there for a week and split the trip in two. We did the first half in the Anuradhapura area in the north staying at a wonderful hotel called Ulagalla Resort. There was lots to see there in terms of history and architecture. If you want the beach you could go to Galle area. We went to a turtle rescue place there which was lovely. We helped the babies be released back into the sea at sunset. We went to the elephant rescue place, but weren't impressed to be honest. If you are looking at travelling around, get a driver. We hired the driver for the week and it made life a lot easier. The roads are very slow. It's a lovely country to visit and the people are so friendly. You'll love it whatever you choose to do I think.

When I called Aquaventure yesterday they said they weren't accepting vouchers on 14th, 15th and 16th so it's worth giving Waterworld a call.
