Anyone know where they are sold in Dubai? Better Life used to stock them but have discontinued doing so. And I can't get onto the F&K website to check. Thanks. edited by Olene on 25/02/2015

Leading a double life. And she knew first hand that children and parents on drugs are not a good combination. Makes me wonder if it was suicide?

Currently reading The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion and enjoying it. The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith is a easy read. The Farm by Tom Rob Smith. Liked them all. Oh, and Afterwards by Rosamond Lupton.

So terribly sad. What an absolute waste of a life and loss of a mum, sister and daughter. Peach's demons must have been deep for her to speak about living one kind of life but secretly living another. Heroine......I am so shocked. God bless, Peaches.

It is a great place to live. Peaceful and friendly. There are no shops within the villas but that isn't to it's detriment. A close community. Beautiful villas. Birds singing. Pool, tennis and basketball courts. Prices great. If you like a simpler life Mistral villas will work for you.

Not always though. Sometimes it is to their benefit. It's nice to have a chat on EW about opposite viewpoints without resorting to a cat fight!! So often the written word can seem harsh without hearing a tone of voice or seeing facial expression. edited by Olene on 25/04/2014

Blondie. The best for all of the people involved is what I wish for too. Unhappiness is a terrible thing to suffer. You may think you are a little jaded - but I could be totally deluded! But I hope not!

Blondie, I don't know? Maybe she is high on love and brimming with confidence?? Maybe she is trying to let people know that out of a horrible situation good can prevail? Who knows?

Look, the OP may be telling the truth. And have tried to cover up who she may be in real life by altering what children she has, and then, in her distress forgetting her story. She may also have oversimplified the end story for easier reading and to, possibly, alter the truth a little to cover tracks. None of us know for sure. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and wish her well. Really ladies, if this is a true story lets hope it all ends happily and peacefully. Have a happy weekend everyone.

Yes, saw there is a BBC coming. It's on the road from the golf club to the Waldorf. On the left tucked round the corner of one of the new buildings. Beyond excited.

Sitting and reading with your daughter on a daily/bedtime basis will help. As will writing with her. Education comes in many forms. A school and a tutor are only a part of her education. You are a major influence and contributor so take some time and help her. It's clear that school is not enough from what you have written. If that makes no difference maybe she has dyslexic problems?

My reply to this is I have no idea! He is a grown up. Seriously if he can hold down a successful career he can look after himself. It may be to a different standard to me but he could say the same. When I am home I look after him and our homes with a little help from him, he looks after the garden and outside maintenance with a bit of advice from me. It works.

Ajman Academy. Sharjah English School. Both have buses that pick up at Mistral. Some children are schooled in Dubai.

Have a look at Soneva Fushi online. The absolute best! LUX is also worth considering especially with 4 older kids. Their all inclusive deal is great quality and full of choice. Just about everywhere in the Maldives is gorgeous. It's more a matter of what your budget is.

Jess, we have a holiday home on Mistral. Well it started off as that but we seem to spend most of our time there as we love it so much. Big villas. Quiet and peaceful too. But lots of community spirit, get togethers and parties too. The neighbourhood is very diverse in ages from babies thru to retired couples. And people have time for each other. Many work at the airport.. RAK is further afield but does have more infrastructure around it. It's a stretch too far for some who commute daily.

Not even sure if I can explain what I need to know. But here goes. DH bought his iPhone here, it does have iTunes Store on it-the Arabic one, not the UK or US one. My iPhone which was bought in US has US iTunes on and all works fine. DH does not have iTunes Player on his iPhone, just a music logo, which of course has nothing in it. He has always used my iTunes playlists on his iPod but now wants to use his phone to play music. But, as the tech genius (?)in our house, I can't find a way to get it to work. Any clues or instructions ladies? Also would like to download Spotify from aps for him but that's not an option as far as I can see. Thanks gals. edited by Olene on 17/04/2014

It is pretty dull on EW these days. Used to be full of fun and scandal, intrigue and shock along with the normal threads about living in Dubai. In the old days those thumbs would have had hundreds of clicks. So where does everyone go now? There must be a new EW replacement?

So, that was a great little video. What I find odd, Gorobattie, is that, in my humble opinion, you are one of the most judgmental posters on EW. But maybe you are sharing this video because it taught you something?

I too hope she is ok. And that it's her that decided to delete everything and not her abusive partner. A very worrying situation. Hers and her husbands names were easily traceable so someone MUST know her or him?

Paddington, from previous posts over the last year your name and email is there for all to see. If your husband is violent this could be dangerous for you. It is probably also easy to find you on Facebook etc and his details also. So, maybe it would be best if you contacted one of the places suggested that can help you? Or maybe even one of your friends/neighbours who may be reading your posts can come and rescue you? Or hopefully that has already happened. All the best. edited by Olene on 05/02/2014

Totally agree, Livelytrish and cushion. From day one of her being on whatever talent show she was on her vulnerability was obvious. And I have always felt she was exploited. It has made her a wealthy woman but from what I have read about it her that hasn't given her happiness. Just extra stress.
