Yes a man can as a single father as long as he has dependents under his sponsorship and all the associated documents that go along with that (I guess evidence of where the mother is or if she is deceased).

Obviously I'm making an assumption based on your user name but yes it is common when employing a Muslim female. I don't really know why but do know that I have had to request it from some candidates in the past.

DESS has 1 TA per class up to year 2 then a few TA's shared between all the classes in each year group from year 3 on. approx. 25 kids per class. don't know for FS1 as that's new to the school and I didn't experience that so I think smaller class size and possibly more TA's

Hatta border is open but the normal route is only open to GCC nationals so you need to go via Sharjah / Kalba.

yes it is correct as soon as you have a residency from another GCC country that becomes just as important as the passport. if he was an Australian National without a GCC residency it almost becomes easier as they don't review your designation etc. and only consider your nationality as the qualifying factor for granting the visa.

Although Mirdiff looks like a short drive the excessive traffic can make is a long drive time wise and if not out of Mirdiff by 7.00am you run the risk of being late for school starting. the drive home is even worse on occasions. The traffic round school can generally be pretty horrendous anyway no matter where you live. Just something to keep in mind

you can have TV direct from OSN (but will need DU or Etisalat for internet.) at the moment they have quite good offers on with reduced rate for the first 4 months and free installation. we are looking at changing from going via Etisalat and had an update from one of the stalls in the Mall yesterday.

I've been driving mine now for 11 years, with no major issues. The newer models have a smaller engine size I think and are a bit more fuel efficient but all in all it's been good for me.

well I guess you could walk but its a very long road leading away from that junction and their really is a lot of different shops. you could put that road name in and then should be able to drive there and find parking. it's been a few years since I've venture there so not quite sure how the road layout might have changed.

contrary to popular belief not all children like Lego and it can be an expensive gift if not appreciated. my 8 year old isn't interest in Lego at all in spite of being given it many times as gift. Character toys, Action heroes etc. for role playing games are always a hit in our house.

I have 1 daughter who has just started at DESC after being at DESS from Reception (no FS1 in those days) and 1 son in year 3. we have been very happy with the school and haven't faced any problems in all of our time there. teachers are very approachable that I have had dealings with, parents groups very friendly and high level of parental involvement in the school. as it's not part of a bigger corporate group we get what's right for the school and our children as opposed to one shoe fits all approach. children are polite, well mannered and enjoy their time there.

not really, we usually have a deadline for applications and sometimes don't start shortlisting until we reach the deadline but definitely a week isn't very long. it might seem long to the person applying but the recruiter and or hiring manager are working on many other things at the same time and the position might not always be top of their list. also at this time of year with end of year financials looming we are sometimes on a go slow so that the recruitment falls into the new year

I've only been for a day for a work meeting while others stayed the night. I would never want to stay there, it's not in a good location and most of the others complained about the rooms etc. Sorry possibly not what you want to hear if already booked.

yes you would probably give her the June salary now then don't pay her anything when she comes back until end of July. it's not mandatory but they usually want the salary in advance for their holidays. often I only give half at my maids request so she has some cash waiting when she comes back. The only time you would pay extra is if she is not going on holiday and effectively cashing in her annual leave but as long as that suits you for her to miss her annual leave.
