I'd check home centre and ikea, hopefully your windows are not an unusual size. I haven't installed any blinds, but I've bought the ready made curtains for some rooms and was happy with them.

If you rent in one of the houses in alma that have a back gate onto the street you will be within a very close walking distance to the community centre. Other communities may be more isolated, especially reem as it's so far out (will definitely need a car)

It's a very valid point. The room with the boiler looks like a scary bedroom. I wouldn't put my maid in that room. Do you own the apartment? If you do you could possibly put up a dry wall partition somewhere to create a room for her.

If you can fit a bed in the storage room it's better than a matress in the kitchen or dining room floor. How big in metres is your storage room? I wish my house had a storage room or at least a pantry.

I had one. It was poor quality and only lasted one season. I bought the cheapest model on the market so that says alot about the quality I got.

It's advised once a year. However in some areas the tank stays pretty clean. Best is to open up the tank and have a look. See if there is any sediment at the bottom and it will give you an idea of how urgent the cleaning is.

It's not sold here. It's very effective at getting rid of cold and flu symptoms, I tried it once when I was very sick before a television interview that couldn't be rescheduled.. There must be a secret ingredient.

Most of these ladies are happy to have a job and an income. I feel bad for the ladies that come to dubai believing they will work in a hospital as a midwife or nurse and discover the agency in their country has sent them to another county to work in a house or in a cleaning company.

Babies are a high risk group, so vaccinating them is more important as they haven't yet built up a strong immune system. Polio is very important not to skip, it's a dangerous disease that can cause lifelong paralysis. We don't hear about cases anymore as almost everyone here is vaccinated very early on. Most vaccines are safe to give babies after 2 months when there is less chance of an adverse reaction. The only questionable vaccine is the HPV vaccine as it hasn't been around long enough and tests are still being conducted to see if there is lifelong protection or just for a few years.

Hi Zozo. This must be really hard for you, my baby spent 3 months in the NICU, I was really sad to have to leave her in the hospital alone, but in perspective it was the best place for her to be with doctors and nurses under 24 hour supervision. The doctors won't give you the ok to go home until everything is 100% stable. After I left the hospital I employed an at home nurse, she would weigh and measure the baby at home every week. It was very reassuring to see the babies growth on the chart. To be honest most of my communication in the hospital was with the nurses, if I had a question they couldn't answer they would go check with the doctor on call, and the doctors would leave their check up summaries with the nurses. The only time I really got to properly talk to a hospital paediatrician was at the babies check out, and I was charged for many other consultations with the paediatrician. For this reason I didn't develop an attachment to any of the hospital paediatricians to return to for check ups. I actually found them to be a little unfriendly and anti social, but their care for my baby was excellent. I took my baby for her first (after hospital) check up to a general paediatrician near my house. This is important so you don't drive around in traffic for too long with a small baby. All paediatricians do follow ups for pre term babies. If there are any specific problems identified the paediatrician will refer you to a specialist in that paediatric field. Dr Shola faniran is a paediatrician in the childrens medical centre that has experience with premies.

I wouldn't do it in Mexico. Unless it is with a renowned doctor and medical costs might be high and you will have to factor in the cost of accommodation in Mexico. Hormonal Drugs you will take during the IVF cycle will also be quite expensive

As long as he maintains good grades, his chances of getting into a good university won't be hindered. I know many people who graduated from schools in dubai and went on to good universities in Canada.

I don't qualify to sign the petition, however I support your statements. Cutting salaries for people in such a profession is not right, and it's more shocking that people with lower Qualifications can get higher salaries.

I have yet to find a good Chinese restaurant that delivers. I've tried several really bad Chinese home deliveries. Pizza on the other hand is good almost everywhere, try 800 pizza.

Did you find any new products there? I use oil absorbing sheets before applying my make up and use loose powder on top of my foundation to absorb any excess oil.

I believe it depends what month she is born in, at the beginning of the year she will fall behind a grade, and if she is born after the summer she may stay in the same grade or go up a grade. What grade did she enter in the end? Hope you figured this out. It is strange they call them grades if it isn't an american school. I've always heard people call them years or key stages.
