Hi, just looking for any recommendations for getting our villa's water tanks cleaned. Would love to know who people have used, prices etc And also if anyone has had their water pipes cleaned while getting the tank cleaned? Do the water pipes need to be cleaned as well? Thanks Must Have Maintenance are very good, my husband paid a annual contract for around 3000dhs and that included all our call out, cleaning of ACs and water tank cleaning.

I can highly recommend Sarah at My Dental Clinic on al thanya street, she is very good and did an amazing job removing my stains by cleaning, I then had the in surgery bleaching. It is not as cheap as a groupon vouchers but I personally would never go to any healthcare facility offering these kind deals as there is normally a reason why they not busy :( what you save initially you end up spending in the long run and more getting issues fixed.

It is common, most places here even for just vaccines you have to sign a treatment cost plan. Doctors and clinic are told by Dubai Health Authority that they have to do it so there is not confusion over costs and that the cost have been presented to you. We have to sign for everything my kids have with their GP and this is how it was explained to me. My dentist also always asks us to sign :-)

I had train tracks, top and bottom at Dr Michaels a few years a go - it was about 16,000 for the full treatment. You pay in instalments every time you go. The orthodontist was at the Al Wasl branch - Dr David. I have permanent retainers cemented behind my teeth. When I went for a recent check up at another dentists he said the work was excellent and he's seen some really terrible orthodontic work here. Up shot - you get what you pay for. Hi FD,may I know which year was your 16,000 treatment at Dr. Michaels? Now they are charging twice that amount. I have done some shopping around for orthodontic treatment myself and was recommended to see Dr Lina Papika whom a friend of mine was treated by at Dr Michaels, she paid quite a bit for her braces but got fantastic results. I recently found out that she is now working at My Dental Clinic on Al Thanya Street and their charges about 20% less than Dr Michaels. I see the dentist and hygienist there already and they are great so I will definitely be booking in with Dr Lina to see what she can advise me on braces

I just read an article yesterday online about PRP, meant to help with acne scars. I believe you can get this in Dubai now. If i try will let you know :) A friend tried this for her acne scars. It didn't work and was sadly a waste of money Oh really....I believe if the scars are very deep it cant help but with small scars it improves the texture. Will do some more research, I suppose you get different results with different skins.

Hello guys, I'm new on here :) I realize this may have been asked a few times already but I've got some acne scars and dead looking skin. I'm looking for mild laser treatments like Fraxel or something similar to lessen the scars and rejuvenate my skin with very minimal down time (due to work). Anyone have any experiences they could share with some good (reasonably priced) doctors? I went to CosmeSurge in Sharjah and everything was fine right until I met the doctor! The whole thing was quite disappointing and she also recommended a zillion chemical peels over a course of a year if not more. My case is quite mild really.. Look forward to hear from you guys. Thanks :) Hi, MissEzzie. I tried Fraxel for my acne scars too, i number of time and loved the results after but found it did not last and for the cost of it, its was around 2000dhs a go. I found Glycolic peels just as good and not expensive at all, La Clinque in JLT do them. I also found microneedling at home very good, look it up on you tube, it really does make you skin look amazing.

So there it is. I'm so desperate that any advice can help, knowing that I've already tried it all. I paid a gym membership for him as a gift, I tried different styles of cooking... He has such a big belly that seems way bigger than a nine month old pregnant lady. He had always been overweight but the tummy is just growing larger. I'm not just talking esthetically, I'm worried for his health as well. Everyone seems to notice that, except HIM. I can write pages about this but I think everyone got the point... so please, if anyone had lived a similar experience, know someone or might just help with a piece of advice, you're welcome. Thanks. I put my hubby on a strict diet during the week, salads and fruit only. On the weekend he is allowed to cheat. I also make him walk the dogs with me in the evening. He always said I dont need to do it....but I do otherwise, he will live off burgers all week. Do leave anything lying around the house to tempt him. I also tell my husband, I dont want anything to happen to him, think when he see I worry it makes him think.

Thank you both for the advise. I couldn't agree more. Many hospitals operate as a business model and offer all sorts of extra services (valet parking, salons, spas, you name but I personally prefer going to a simple clinic knowing that I am in good hands. I will try the mentioned doctors for sure! I have been living here for over 7yrs now and if you want an excellent dentist, you should see DR Chris JOhansson, he is at My Dental Clinic. And, my GP who I think is the best is Dr Mohammed Al Yasiry, at Dr Nicolas & Asp in Marina. He is very thorough I could not see anyone else.

Hiya, Would appreciate if anyone knew of someone reliable selling their Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land cruiser. In Dubai, I am reluctant to buy used car from Dubizzle and places like that as many don't claim accidents and get their cars fixed under the table. If you know of anyone with a good car in good condition and relatively low mileage - that be awesome. //Mara Check on car auction, they have many cars and you can get at an excellent price.http://www.emiratesauction.com/en/Cars/Vehicles.aspx

Finding a good dentist clinic in Dubai can be a real hassle. The one with the most flashy advertising, rates and nice words about quality I had the worst experience with. Clinics claim patient rights and to make patients happy. In reality I experienced the opposite. Basically dentists seem to get away with putting on onlays - without finishing the adjustement if they feel it gets complicated. I'm now left on my own to look for fix and appreciate ideas for specialists in adjustments. In March 2016 I went to a clinic in JBR with a small broken piece of a tooth, but I did not have any pain at the time. The doctor told me i needed an onlay, i asked him about any risk and he ensured me that there would be no risk at all and i did not need a root canal because I did not have any pain and my tooth was fine. i paid around 5'000 AED in total. One week later he put an onlay on my tooth and sent me home. 3 days later I got a lot of pain and came back to clinic and heard that the Dr. left the clinic. I was shocked because the clinic did not tell me about that when they sent me to the Dr.. The clinic sent me to another dentist in another branch. He looked at the problem and told me I needed a root canal. I was shocked again, because when I went to the clinic at the first time, I had no pain and did not need a root canal treatment. I had to accept it and get the root canal treatment. Then, they put an onlay on my tooth and sent me home. After a period of calming down the nerve pain an only was newly laid on by the new doctor. The onlay was too high and I had difficulties to eat and pain because the bite was off balance. Additionally a piece of tooth cement from the onlay went out and closed the area between the teeth so that I could not floss. I came back to the clinic, and the doctor adjust a little bit and told me the cement problem was not a problem although he tested and saw I could not floss. He sent me home again. But 3 days later I still had difficulties to chew, i called the call center of the clinic and asked for help because the doctor told me I did not need to come back and he did not want to perform further corrections, The call center sent me to another Dentist, she tried to adjust (twice) which only improved the problem slightly and did not resolve it - and then asked me for payment for her work. I did not agree because the clinic told me adjustments are free of charges. After arguments they refused to continue adjustment although my onlay is still high and I still have a difficulty to eat. It's a long journey/story and basically posting it warn people to double check who they go to. Clinics publish patient rights but not all seem to respect them. Instead they make you feel like it your fault that the onlay is too high or that the doctors were not able to properly adjust the bite in one session. Next time for me it's going to be back in Europe.. Hi, jennye. I have been in Dubai a long time and I had many issues with dentist and doctors initially and I tell you now, you need to find doctors or dentist that have been here for years and years not these new one that are here or the clinics they just look fancy. The ones that havent been here long, 8 times out of 10 get fired or decide they dont like it and disappear. Do you research and only see doctors that have been recommended to you by people. I only tend to see Scandinavian doctors as I trust them completely, if you are looking for a good dentist who my family and I have seen for years and he has been in Dubai for a long time, its Dr Chris Johansson, he is swedish and extremely kind and has the patients interests at heart. He is at Dr michaels in umm squeim. hope you get your issue fixed. not all are bad here you just need to find the right one.

In some of the places, they asked me to give them a receipt, which I can't do it, because I don't have a company. I would like to know if there is any possibility to obtain a freelance license, avoiding to pay 35.000 dhs only for a start up Trade License where they will give me 2 or 3 new visas, which I don't need as I already have my UAE residency. Any help, recommendation of a good and reasonable legal advisor will be appreciated. Hello! I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with [b'>IMED Dental Clinic in Al Barsha[/b'>? I have been looking to get Lumineerrs done and they have contacted me with a summer offer until 30th August which is 900AED per tooth (all other prices I have seen are 1,800AED up) So it is a great offer ... however I am worried it is a little to good? Making me skeptical. I have spoken with the dentistry and they come with 5yrs warranty and the dentist has 8 years experience in Dubai and was in Scotland before. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a review or opinion on this? Has anyone used this dentist for lumineers? Or could you recommend a good one? where ever there is a good deal like this, there is a risk too. i havent heard good things about these lumineers. i really dont know about this clinic so they could be good. they are basically like false nails, come in all shapes and sizes and the teeth don't need to be prepared at all, so they just stick them on your teeth. problem is that because you teeth are not prepared like normal veneers they could come loose cause they dont fit properly or they could be too big so they look bulking. if you really want to invest and get a good result, normal veneers are the best option but they do cost a lot more. i was a dental nurse for many years in the uk and i had never heard of them till i came to Dubai. I personally would not spare any money when it comes to my teeth as i only want the best because when you cut cost, it always ends up costing you money in the long run. go for a proper consultation, with a good dentist. my dentist is dr chris johansson at dr michaels, i like him cause he is really honest and caring, i would never see anyone else.
