Oh yes...Nature is the one thing I miss dreadfully too. Were also stuck in an apartment where as back home we have a huge home,garden etc. Only thing is back home you get taxed to death and the salaries are pathetic,so we just suck it up here.

Better if she has it translated first before coming over in Dubai so that any pediatrician can help her. The chinese doctors in dubai all do acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine.

For those who have been to Dino Live before, Is it ok to take an 18 month old? do you think she be terrified? is the place stroller-friendly? TIA edited by D-J on 09/11/2012 Place is very stroller friendly but it would be scary for an 18 month old. My two year old was scared of the sounds and teeth of the dino's. They also move a bit their heads which is surely creepy for kids that age.

I put clorox stain remover spray on and put it in a bucket with napisan powder (get it at spinney and waitrose) and water for 24hrs. It always works. If its a huge amount of ink then you have to buy a new shirt unfortunately.

I know Beebers, 2nd fire in Tecom. DH says its the cladding on the buildings that's unsafe. She did see the fire herself and described it as 5 vertical rows of units and not the entire floors. oh no. :( so it's still burning. gosh I hope no one is injured. How many buildings in Tecom are "unsafe," I wonder?? Probably all. 'New Dubai' was built very fast.

Take what you can get for now and waitlist your children at the good schools until a place becomes available later on. Lots of people are moving to Abu Dhabi out from Dubai,so there will be school spots opening up in the new year.

i hate these cellulite's on my legs. I recently did jetskiing ang noticed how horrible my cellulite's got. :( i believe that this cellulite's started when i was worked in the office. in the office you just sit, walk for few minutes and then sit again. Plus i have spider veins. I don't work in the office now and i've started exercising for 2 weeks, about 3 times a week focusing on leg exercises. I am still however frustrated, it seems that nothings happening.. I'm thinking of cellulite massages.. do they work? Massages help temporarily and are overpriced. You cant fight genetics and mother nature. Some people just get cellulite worse than others regardless of weight. Even skinny people have cellulite. You can do something to reduce the appearance but nothing to eliminate it. Increase water intake,regular exercise,healthy eating.

Its probably not a fake. What the salesman told you is true. Most of these designer watches are made in china with just the inside watch made in switzerland or some other country. You are paying for the brand,not the watch.

Apparently there is a risk of downs syndrome if you get pregnant too early after having MMR. Thats what I read. Hopefully the doctor will help and guide your friend. She must be really scared.

Depends on nationality. Their respective embassy's have set minimum salary guidelines. Filipinas must earn minimum dhs1800 and people usually add dhs600 per month for accommodation if they live out. Other nationalities like indonesians and sri lankans etc. have lower minimum wage but Im not sure what their currently are but their live out allowance would probably be the same.

They build schools quite fast here. Just look at how fast they built Uptown school in Mirdif. Basically over four months it went from a piece of land to a fully built and painted school. Just amazing.

The popular british schools are all waitlisted. You can try the other British schools that are newer or expanding to bigger premises (like Safa as mentioned below). Best to first find out which location they will be living as the school drive can be a big issue.

The dentists cleans your teeth then applies a gel on your teeth with a mould thing that helps keep your mouth open and still whilst a lazer light beams onto your teeth for an hour. The dentist will come in every 15 to check up on you. When finished he removes all the gel. You rinse your sparkly white teeth and your done. :)

We went to Jamie's for lunch this Friday and in the evening we went to Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock Cafe wins hands down. The food at Jamies was overpriced and average. The place was mostly empty too. Wouldnt go again to be honest. Hard Rock Cafe was fantastic. Loads of families with children there. Taking pics with the bikes. Kids can stay until 10pm in the restaurant too. The food was very tasty,large drinks,great (no actually fantastic) service,menu has big variety to choose from and we werent charged for the drinks for our children either. An all over 10/10 experience. Cant wait to go back :)

Teeth whitening isnt really brain surgery. Most dentists do a good job of it. If groupon has an offer go for it. A lot of dentists here seriously overcharge teeth whitening anyways.
