Thanks Dramaqn! Nursery sounds fine for me as I prefer places that are on the small side. More individual attention. Just want my LO (and myself) to get used to being away from me as we are very attached to each other. Dont want to wait until he has to start real school. I will go have a look myself too.

Little Explorers at Mirdif city centre is always a huge hit with all ages. Have been to two birthday parties there and its very well organised and the kids love learning and exploring whilst having a party with cake and balloons.

I hope Jessica goes. Her dance moves and everything is all direct copies of Beyonce. No originality and she always sings ballads.

I think they are grooming Skylar to win the competition as they never say anything bad about her but are quite nitpicky with the other contestants.

I used to recommend Boardwalk to my friends as the view is very relaxing at the creek and it used to be nice but was there last week and their service and food quality has gone down dramatically. Lazy waiters, much smaller portions and food selection. Was so disappointed that another Dubai restaurant that I used to love is going downhill. :( There is however another nice restaurant with good views at Park Hyatt called Terrace. Apparently they also do fantastic brunches on fridays too.

My sister has 5 persian cats and two healthy boys. Just let your DH clean the litterbox during pregnancy and you wont have problems. Her boys love the cats and their part of the family. :)

I would prefer not to medicate. He isnt good with taking medicine. Will have to go shopping for an air purifier and if that doesnt help then I guess I would have to medicate as Im scared he might develop asthma or some other lung problems. Thanks ladies. Much appreciated. :)

When they are close to two years old they naturally get clingy. Its a phase and it will pass. Obviously she is a happy one but I personally would wait until she is 3 so that her immune system is fully developed. Kids at nurseries get sick a lot more than ones who stay at home.

You think its allergies? We had our airconditioners cleaned out last week. Might look into an air purifier. Is there any medication to give a toddler for this condition?

People persist because its so much easier. Especially if you have an apartment and dont really need a fulltime help but need help now and then. Agencies dont always have maids available and only do some neighborhoods too. Maids are not high up on the priority lists for authorities here. More important things to do than arrest a maid for doing extra work.

Please go see Dr.Loubser at Infinity clinic. He is a great pediatrician and would know what road to take with your 3 year old. Anorexia is a psychological disorder and I strongly doubt a 3 year old would have self image issues of that kind already. He is usually booked full but if you call at 8am in the morning they can squeeze you in to an appointment that has been cancelled for the day. He specializes in immunology, allergies and asthma. If your little one has food issues that is related to those he would know what to do. http://www.ihcdubai.com/doctors/michael-loubser/ edited by Asti on 16/04/2012

strip your bed and check the mattress; usually in the seams or if you have a mattress with air holes in it, probably will be inside. Ive done that. Theres nothing. We have a latex mattress too. Ugh! Maybe it was just one? Have been looking for black pepper like drops on my white linen but there is also nothing. Will just have to keep looking.

It is possible. I had it done at the Gold souq in Karama 6 years ago. Do you wear it regularly and did the plating last? I wear it everyday and it still looks great! Worth every cent. I dont like yellow gold either.

I've just been to the one in Deira yesterday to visit the fabulous Seaworld restaurant. Be prepared for amazing decor - at least, that's what I got from their lobby. I unfortunately have not stayed at the hotel. Hope someone else can help you there. How was the food? We were thinking of going there too. Heard the restaurant in the Asiana hotel in deira are quite good as well...

Boys in general take longer to talk than girls. I wouldnt be too worried. If he was 3 years old and had that speech level then I would be worried but its okay at 2 to have limited speech capability.

Get some play dough. The two of you can make shapes on the tray table. Dont worry so much about other passengers. Some people will always be unhappy whether your child is well behaved or not. Some people just complain for the sake of it. You can only control your child's behaviour to a certain point. He is at an age where he wants to explore and not sit down. Take him for walks. A plane is public transport at the end of the day. I used to stress so much about other people and then later realised its really not worth it. Fortunately havent had any problems so far. I'm sure your flight will be okay.

Elizabeth Bain comes highly recommended among others. She is an experienced doula which in your case would be needed instead of a trainee. Im sure she can also advise you on which doctor to go to that actually listens to your want and needs. http://www.doulasofdubai.com

I had a Minx pedicure last year in the UK. It lasted for more than 4 weeks and you get loads of different colours/styles. It did dry the nails when I took them off but the beautician said to rub oil into them and they were fine. Not sure where to get it done in Dubai as havn't been here long. Nail Moda at Wafi shopping centre has a large variety of minx. Its pricey though but looks gorgeous.

The salon I go to use Jessica GELeration gel nail polish. My pedicures easily last 4 weeks chip free. I usually have to have it removed because of nail growth only. They stay shiney and beautiful.
