Hi everyone, Would you be interested in sending your child to a bi-lingual Nursery (English/Chinese)? Dismayed with the lack of Chinese (Mandarin) teaching facilities for my little toddler, I am thinking of actually opening one as a business. I strongly believe Mandarin language will be a much more valuable asset than say the languages taught today in nurseries (French or German). I was wondering if there are like-minded teachers out there? I would appreciate any feedback on: • Would you consider sending your child to a Mandarin/English bi-lingual nursery? • How many days per week would you consider sending your child to nursery and for how many hours? • Are you or your spouse native Mandarin speakers? • What areas would you be prepared to travel to for the nursery? • Would you expect the English Nursery teachers to be native English speakers? Any other tips appreciated!!!! Thanks so much, Yes, would love to send my twins to bi-lingual nursery. When you planning to open nursery here? Thanks

Hi Butterfingers, I've twins DD and DS. DD was 2.870 and DS was 2.600kg. I also had large aureolas and they couldn't and I also didn't produce enough milk, I could pump 20ml of milk from both breasts. I just gave them formula, bc I didn't have choice and they were hungry. DD didn't burp, and after every feed which usually took 1 hour, I would sit in my bed and look at clock and see how long it will take her to burp. Sometimes it would take 45 min, to get one burp from her, and also she would get sick if I would burp her. I gave up, she slept like angel, no problems at all. I also had c-section. On day 7 after surgery I was in safa park and on day 9, I was in Al Ain zoo with my 9 days old babies and niece, bc I promised to my niece, while I was in hospital, that I will take her to zoo, she likes giraffes :). Yes I know I'm crazy, that is exactly what my OBG said and everyone who heard about it :). When start giving them 180ml of milk, my boy would eat all, my girl still would eat 120ml, she couldn't eat 180ml, so I had to get up for her every after 4 hours, when my boy ate every after 5 hours. It wasn't easy, but I did enjoy. They going to be 6 month old 7th september. And I still don't understand how quick they grow, how time flies. I don't want to be negative, but there always something comes up. My boy got his first tooth when he was 5 month and 2 weeks old, he was struggling and I had hard time with him. He didn't want to sleep in his bed, he wanted me lullaby him in my arms, he is much heavier than his sister, I also pull my back muscle when I try to pick him up with his car seat, so can you imagine walking with 8kg baby and try to make him sleep, when you have sore back. He cried, he screamed, but I had to carry him and make sure he sleeps. My girl is much lighter. She got her first tooth at 5 month and 3 weeks, she is much calmer, she didn't almost cry.

HI Green-ish, I talk to Al Wasl customer service lady, and she told me, there is big waiting list for private rooms, and there is chance that I won't get private room. And my DH won't stay with me, where in AH you don't have problem with it. I'm having twins next week in AH, friend of mine advice to deliver or at least register in Al Wasl. I went there made an apt, I just wanted to ask questions, but they didn't want to speak without registering me, which cost 6,000AED for twins. Finally I spoke to customer service, [b'>one thing put me off is they don't have private rooms[/b'> and my hubby won't stay with me, because its more local hospital. I left and my Dr. in AH hospital told me that I don't really need to go to AL Wasl, I was already 24 weeks and Dr. said nothing going to happen I'm 36 weeks and 2 days today and I already booked for c-section in AH. Thanks Latifa (Al Wasl) does have private rooms...and rather posh they are! :) I'm not sure of the procedure now, but when I delivered there, mums expecting twins could pre-apply for a private room and would be given one if available. I was not high risk nor having twins so my husband had to apply when I arrived in labour. I spent a small amt of time on the shared ward then was moved to a VERY posh private room. Like I said below, if anyone wants to get anywhere with the staff at Latifa, insist on speaking to the Head of Antenatal Care or the Head of Midwifery. In the past these women have been amazing, patient and actually know what happens on the wards...unlike the clueless reception staff!

Hi Dubai71, I did my first IVF in Sharjah EVE clinic, which I would never advice to any of my worst enemy. They robed me and in the end they told me that I have 50 years old woman eggs, and I have to look for donor. I was so upset, got home didn't know what I'm going to do now. Talk to my friend, she told me get second opinion, found Dr. Fakih fertility on internet. Went there, wasn't sure if it's going to work, but after while I felt so secure and believed to this people. Even my hubby told me that if it's not going to work this time, we will try with them again. Dr. Fakih did operation, did transfer 3 embryos, after 10 days I found out that I'm prego, and after 6 weeks I found out that I'm having twins. Lil baby boy and girl :) I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and I made an apt in American hospital for C-section. Hopefully everything is going to be great, and I'm soooo looking forward to meet with my lil ones. Cince then I always advice people that they should go there and try it. If you don't believe me, just ask about me. My Name is Ayten Mammadova. If you know nurses there or Doctors, just ask about me from Dr. Amal or nurse Madonna, or Sheila, they all know me very well. Last week I had last scan with them and when I will have my lil munchkins in American Hospital, I will go back to Dr. Fakih clinic to show them my lil babies. Best personal and great people, very supportive. Good luck to you Dubai71. And please let me know if its worked, my email address is [email protected] Thanks ivfuae- much appreciated ;0) Going to Dr Fakih... any advice? Just seen from another thread that;s who you used and with success ;0) Would still be grateful for any advice you might have. Thanks again. edited by dubai71 on 10/01/2011
