Try Main Computers ([email protected]/mob: 050 6783484/www.main-computers.ae ). They do general repairs and maintenance and also set up and oversee business networks. I've used them for servicing my laptop and it's still doing brilliantly after more than 6 years.

I was very happy with Jim'll Fix It last year - prompt, efficient, and reasonably priced though I can't remember how much they charged. Had them mend front door lock, put up curtain rails, hooks, pictures etc and mend some furniture. Cleaned up after themselves too.

Dont know about in Dubai but on BBC radio 4 yesterday they featured 2 Syrian UK residents who have been doing charity work organising supplies for transport to Syria and travelling there too - handinhandforSyria.org.UK is the charity website. HTH

Have you tried checking out Choithram's in the Springs? I was there this evening and there were two black and white cats in the car park near the school. I didn't get close enough to notice a tuxedo...

Have a look at this website which shows safety assessment for cars in Europe. Not sure if the specs might be different here, but it's a good starting point. HTH http://www.euroncap.com/home.aspx

Sorry to hear about your dog's injury. Mine had a cruciate rupture when he was aged about 11. He was operated on by Dr Malcolm, now at Al Safa, and he made a perfect recovery with no later problems. I was warned that there was a high chance of the other back leg suffering the same thing, as it would be taking all the pressure during healing, but he was fine and went on to live another 5 active years. Good luck.
