There is the new water taxi service that runs from Dubai Marina Mall, not sure of price but leaves at 11am and 5pm, maybe other times, it takes an hour and is all air conditioned and is only a short walk from the Mall. It looks really nice, nothing special if you have lived here a while so have not done it but think it would be great for visitors. There is also the club car taxi service down JBR Walk now as well. Cafe Roma at the Walk to watch the world go by.

I use Dermalogica in Dubai Mall, sorry dont know what derma planing is. I joined their club and paid 3000 aed up front but get 4000 aed of vouchers. A facial costs just over 500aed but for every 5 booked, 6th is free and for every 6 you get a 7th loyalty so the vouchers go a long way. I go once a month and have been using them for over two years now.

My favourite is Mina Al Salem and we are booked there for xmas day. Like Al Qsar way over the 300 budget, I think it is 495 but it is the full on Dubai brunch experience. I have been to Rotanna and the food was ok but not atmosphere, just eat and leave. Good value though! Al Qsar, Westin Bubilicious and Mina Salam are the best. For party and naughty behaviour loved Yalumba but would depend on your parent's outlook on life, I would definitely not take mine but took my children 21, 23 and respective girlfriends/boyfriends 22/28 and we had a ball.

I am no cook but can follow a recipe. I bought Easy Baking cookbook from M&S and it had the most lustful cheesecake recipie and it was so easy to make. Ingredients will all available in Carrefour. The topping was blueberrys but I used rspberries and it was lovely. I have made it three times now and everyone has been throughly enjoyed by guests. I havent made if for a while and you have got my mouth watering so next weekend it will be on the menu!
