I boycotted the place ever since I was agressively confronted by a security guard for giving a diabetic child a drink in Ramadan. The lack of seating did not help either!

Hello ladies, I am looking to talk to food magazine editors (or former editors) - I have added a couple of journalist facebook groups to find some but any other ideas where I might find some more? Thanks Moo Oh sorry I must have misunderstood you, I thought you were asking for any other ideas where you might find some more editors beside the ones you searched out on the journalist FB groups. Maybe if you say you are looking for ladies on here who may be food editors someone will be able to help.

Hello ladies, I am looking to talk to food magazine editors (or former editors) - I have added a couple of journalist facebook groups to find some but any other ideas where I might find some more? Thanks Moo Contact the magazines directly and ask to speak to their food editors perhaps would be more direct? There's a wealth of magazines published in Dubai if you are looking for local editors. https://www.itp.com/magazine/142-Gourmet http://www.bbcgoodfoodme.com/ foodemagdxb.com http://www.mefmag.com/ http://motivatepublishing.com/magazines/ http://www.spinneys-dubai.com/index.php/our-magazine hth

There are lots of AG dolls on eBay, on both the US and UK sites with global shipping and multiple payment options. eg [url=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/My-American-Girl-Doll-18-Just-Like-You-Layered-Brown-Hair-Brown-Eyes-59-BNIB-/271928363079?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f50318847'>link[/url'> [url=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMERICAN-GIRL-DOLL-OF-THE-YEAR-GRACE-THOMAS-18-W-Bracelet-Book-FAST-SHIP-NEW-/221761873557?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a209a695 '>link[/url'> [url=http://www.ebay.com/itm/American-Girl-GRACE-THOMAS-18-Doll-OF-THE-YEAR-2015-WITH-BOOK-BRACELET-NEW-/151555274035?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item234965f533'>link[/url'>

Any law firm that has notarial services should be able to do an identity statement on a notorised copy of your passport. Try Trench & associates, I have used them many times for this kind of thing. http://www.trenchlaw.com

The desert is a great place to reflect And truly time spent there Few ever regret The far reaching dunes and endless blue sky Transport to a vision more clear than the eye Though beauty there is in desolate view The need to see green oft rises anew Such yearning stirs up for woodland and trees Then sand though majestic can no more appease When temperate zones are native by birth It draws like a magnet to guide on the earth No matter how long we stay in Dubai There will come a time we must say goodbye Some leave forever then find themselves drawn To sunsets in sand dunes and sounds of the dawn Perhaps once recharged with coolness and leaves Its hard to resist the magic it weaves

I feel your pain, I am currently in the throes of an epic battle with Etisalat that is beginning to make me feel like I am in a vortex. Don't get me started! Actually the best solution would probably be to mention your issue on the Radio!

If you are looking for a "very serene environment" I would not think JLT would give you a great feeling of tranquility, the Ranches would provide that better but you say you need access to transportation, if you mean you need to be near the Metro then JLT would be convenient but not what you would enjoy in terms of a quiet place to live. Your best bet would be to live near your workplace and schools if you are doing the school runs yourself because the traffic is anything but serene in rush hours!

It's possible because they have an in house lab. You go in the morning and have the implant put in. You come back later that day to have the crown put in. It worked out just like that. So is that the permanent crown put in on the same day? No further visits beyond that?

Looking at this issue It seems to be a common occurrence for telecom customers to be charged for services they have not used or have cancelled or for equipment they have returned. Take care to resolve any outstanding issues with them before leaving as unpaid bills even for services not used could result in complications. I just read of several similar cases reported to Gulf News complaints by people who had got nowhere trying to resolve this issue themselves. http://gulfnews.com/your-say/complaints/charged-over-and-above-1.1510082

I strongly recommend Same Day Dental Implants. Dr. Costa is great. I did a tooth last Christmas with him and was very happy with all. And yup, Same Day means the whole procedure is done on a single day. Yes that's very interesting. My DH is going to get an implant done and he is being informed about the usual 3 to 6 months time span for the whole procedure. Never heard of same day implants?? The normal time would be months between the implant and the permanent crown, its strange that Silke888 did not answer our questions particularly since she registered especially to bring up this two year old thread to make her post.

You could have one made at the T shirt printing booth, if you take your own shirt you will only pay to print the design, that way you can personalise it too if you want with the child's name. I have made lots that way at the booth in Ibn Battuta. I took the design on a usb flash stick and it was done in minutes.

How did they finish the extraction and the implant, take the mouth moulds and make and fix the permanent porcelain crown all in one day? Interesting, how long were you in the chair to get all this done?

To cancel a bank account you will need original passport and or ID, for Dewa and Etisalat and any rental contract copies were ok for me. The only nightmare I had was 6 months after closing and clearing all payments on my Etisalat elife subscription and phone account I received a call from their collection dept asking for the last six months elife payment. They obviously had not stopped their billing on the system, I got a call out of the blue telling me I owe them for services on a line that was disconnected over 6 months ago. Yet I have not received any sms over the last six months asking for any payment. Even though I have all the receipts and have sent them to Etisalat complaints I am still trying to make their collection dept understand it is a system error. And they are still threatening me over the phone with abusive calls. My advice is keep all receipts of all your final payments for ever when you leave Dubai.

Whatever it was they went off to do, they admit to being elsewhere and there is no excuse for leaving the baby alone in the sea in a plastic toy which is not a proper inflatable device, it could have tipped over while they were up on the beach even if they thought it was not going to drift off. I agree both parents are responsible, they should be prosecuted IMO, I did not even see the father in the footage at all, very strange, you would think he would have been at the mothers side taking the baby out of the hands of the coastguard. Looking at other mainstream media reports they allude to the fact that they may have been sunbathing. [i'>Her parents had left Melda Ilgin in the crib, and were not aware of what had happened until other sunbathers at the beach warned them, according to state-run Anadolu news agency.[/i'> So anyway they left the child in the water alone and went off to do something else, does it really matter what? So what if they were not entertaining themselves? Who leaves a baby alone in the sea while they are settling in on the beach? I really cannot see the point in trying to split hairs over what these "parents" were doing while their baby drifted out to sea.

That its not ok to put your baby in an inflatable plastic toy duck and leave it in the sea while you go off to sun bathe. I really hope someone teaches her some sense, it looks like the baby had no sun hat or sunscreen on either not to mention a proper lifejacket! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/baby-drifts-1km-out-sea-5995787#rlabs=2 Incredible!

You can get a document attested at the Dubai Courts Notary Dept, thats in Barsha inside the Police Building, you then need to go to the Ministry of Justice and MOFA as well to get it stamped. Alternatively you can use a company that process the whole thing for you. I have used PanGulf many times and found them relatively cost effective although I did need to chase them a bit the last time. INDEX has been recommended on here many times http://www.indexdubai.com/division.php?did=2 there are many others you could shop around for the best price, http://www.argentum-llc.com/ http://www.leadsgulf.com/ http://leadersdocuments.com/ www.pangulf.biz

During this treatment with Reductil I did not have any issues or side effects. I simply followed the basic recommendations : to eat healthier, including more fruits and vegetables, to drink at least 2L of water per day and to take these pills. As I have mentioned above, this method suited me the most, because I do not have the necessary time for sport or some other activities. My job is essential to me and thanks to these pills I could lose weight and still keep my job. I don't know how they were banned because you still can find them online. Anyway, that's my personal experience. I don't know how you suppose just because you can find them online means they are not banned or risky. The internet is full of spurious drugs! Neither does it change the fact that Reductil is banned in many countries including the UAE. Nor does it mean that the tablets sold online are safe. So registering on here to promote a website and advising others to import them into Dubai is not advisable from a legal perspective besides the clinical risk these tablets carry which is well documented. Google ' Reductil banned for heart attack risks ' http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/SafetyInformation/SafetyAlertsforHumanMedicalProducts/ucm228830.htm Its fortunate you did not experience negative side effects but that does not mean others won't, which is why I suggested its best to advise others check with a doctor rather than make blanket recommendations over the internet for a medication known to have potential life threatening side effects.

Its due to the difference between the rotation of the earth and civil time. If they do not correct it every few years our clocks would be completely out of sync with the length of the day and night. It confuses me too, no wonder computers get messed up, they are not made to accomodate the extra second which can result in some pretty drastic things happening like flights getting grounded.

Hi there. I had the same problem with my busy schedule at work. I had different types of work shifts and due to this, didn't have much free time for myself. I ate at late hours and during the day, usually had many snacks. In this way, in one year I added almost 11 kg. That's why I have decided to try Reductil 15mg. In two months I lost almost 12 kg. It wasn't so hard and what's more important I manage to keep my weight, without gaining back the weight lost. This was my method of getting rid of the extra kg. I used this online pharmacy reductil-shop.com It seems to be a serious drugstore. Good luck to all Reductil is an appetite suppressant that was banned in the EU and UK recently because of dangerous potential side effects. And I would not advise the use of Sibutramine to anyone over the internet without first advising them to check with their doctor as there are many conditions that would contraindicate its use.

Its not your hair that's oily its your scalp that's producing too much sebum, wash your scalp as often as you need but avoid massaging your head during shampooing as that will stimulate it to produce more oil, the more gentle you are when applying the shampoo the better. Best use an organic or clarifying shampoo and add a few drops of lemon essential oil to the shampoo. You can also make an spray atomiser of water and lemon essential oil to use between washes to keep you hair fresh all day. If you get one of those little plastic spray mister bottles from Daiso you could carry it to work too. Lemon essential oil reduces sebum production. hth

Yes, I was charged for a toll I had not used, I proved I was out of the country and my car was not used by anyone other than me, and filed out the dispute form, that was about a year ago and still waiting to hear anything back from them. I got the dispute form from the Salik counter at Barsha Tasjeel. Maybe you will have better luck but if you did take the trips but failed to pay in time because you didn't get a message it will be your fault as you say.

I can remember doing something similar back in the UK many years ago. Only problem was I was in the right place, it was car which had gone :\: That's awful GE, did you ever recover it? No according to the police, whoever took it would have removed the parts they wanted and then dumped it in the River Tyne. What was more annoying was the new child car seat in the back :( Dreadful, hope your insurance coughed up properly.

It happened to me once at Dubai Mall, its strange somehow the degree of emotion this simple mistake produces, quite out of relation to the actual situation. From total panic to overwhelming joy. But it seems to be the typical response in many of us. I wonder why! [url=http://www.msn.com/en-gb/video/viral/how-it-feels-when-you-lose-your-car-in-a-parking-lot/vi-AAbYtil?ocid=mailsignoutmd'>link[/url'> I take a photo of the numbers for the space now I remember several years ago losing my car in MOE and getting quite frantic until I realized I was on the wrong level  Yes, besides the utter panic added to the feeling of looking like an idiot going up an down the aisles obviously clueless as to where you left it! I write the floor number down and parking place number too these days too.

Where does it say in the dress rules that "men can let it all hang out"? There are dress rules for men too. It may be unfair to you if local culture requires a degree of cover up different between women and men but that's the culture of the country you chose to live in. Wouldn't it be unfair to locals if their culture is not respected? Haven't seen any letters about hairy men in shorts and wife-beater shirts and I've seen quite a few of those this Ramadan! You asked "How come women have to dress differently" I was answering that comment. As for your dislike of the letters, perhaps write one yourself, the paper is open to all.

I absolutely agree Alismum, its quite incredible to me that no provisions are made for children and babies to be fed in malls, how can anyone possibly think it appropriate for them to have to eat in a toilet. It was fortunate you found a helpful security guard but unfortunately many of them are not, I once needed to feed a diabetic child who was having a hypo and although I tried to feed him discreetly behind the screen at the food hall in MOE I was abruptly told by the security he could not eat anywhere except in the toilets. It was difficult to drag a child with extremely low blood sugar to a the nearest toilet which was quite a distance from the food outlet. Then when I got there I was reprimanded by a woman for taking a little boy into the ladies even though he was obviously under an age where it would have been inappropriate and clearly on the point of passing out. I hope things will improve and better training given to security staff in malls particularly, there really is no need for all this unnecessary distress.

I just got a UK SIM for my Dubai iPhone and its works fine, you can get UK sims in standard micro and nano sizes so one of these should work in any of your phones. You will have an option to buy the SIM in the size you need. Here is a guide to find the right SIM for your device Three types of SIM cards, which all do the same job but differ in size. These SIMs are known as: Standard Micro Nano Every device is designed to work with a certain size, so ensure you check which one you need for your phone, tablet or mobile broadband/4G WiFi device. If you’re unsure which SIM size your device needs, you can: Read your device manual this should include advice on the correct SIM needed Read the info below on SIM sizes SIM sizes guide Standard This is the original SIM size and is mainly used in older phones and devices. Example of devices using the standard SIM: Apple- iPhone 3GS Samsung - Galaxy SII, Note Nokia - 300, 301 HTC - Desire HD EE Mobile broadband/4G WiFi - Buzzard, Osprey Micro Micro SIMs are a smaller size. These are mainly used in smartphones. If you're using a recent smartphone and it doesn't take a micro SIM, you might need a nano SIM Examples of micro SIM devices: Apple - iPhone 4/4S Apple iPad Retina Display Sony - Xperia S, T, X, Z HTC - One, One X, One SV, 8X Nokia - N9, Lumia 720/820 Samsung - Galaxy Express, SIII, S4, Note II Nano Used with the latest Apple devices, this is the smallest size out of the three. Examples of nano SIM devices: Apple - iPhone 5, 5c, 5s and iPad Mini HTC - One (M8) HTC Desire 610 Multi and Combi SIMs Multi SIM This is the latest type of SIM card, which holds all three formats (standard, micro and nano) in one. What do I need to do to prevent a delay in getting my drivers licence in UAE? I will be arriving with my children early August in preparation for them to start school in September and I will need to drive them to school so I don't want to be without a licence. Worse case scenario I suppose I get a taxi to and fro. Any recommendations on how I go about getting the children prepared and myself? What else do I need to know to start their transition as smoothly as possible :) I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. It depends if you have a licence already or not and what country its issued from, once you have residence if you hold a UK licence for example you can get a Dubai licence immediately. If you do not have a driving license from any country you will need to take lessons from a registered driving school and pass the driving test. That usually takes at least a few weeks minimum. Countries eligible to exchange licences are Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States Procedure and details outlined here http://www.dubai.ae/en/Lists/HowToGuide/DispForm.aspx?ID=11 hth

Since you were feeding the baby discreetly you were not doing anything that could have been considered wrong. The Foreign Office advisory advises "Pregnant, nursing women, and young children are exempt from the provisions, but discretion should be exercised." The key word is "discretion". The people who attacked you while you were discretly feeding your baby in your car or behind the food court were in the wrong and all I can say is if they don't have any humanity towards the needs of a baby I wonder what they understand from the meaning of Ramadan at all. Researchers at Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences have found that an ingredient in extra-virgin olive oil kills a variety of human cancer cells without harming healthy cells. The ingredient is oleocanthal, a compound that ruptures a part of the cancerous cell, releasing enzymes that cause cell death. Paul Breslin, professor of nutritional sciences in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, and David Foster and Onica LeGendre of Hunter College, report that oleocanthal kills cancerous cells in the laboratory by rupturing vesicles that store the cell’s waste. LeGendre, the first author, Foster, the senior author, and Breslin have published their findings in Molecular and Cellular Oncology. So far the results are only based on laboratory trials “The next logical next step is to go beyond laboratory conditions and show that oleocanthal can kill cancer cells and shrink tumors in living animals, says senior author David Foster of Hunter College.” However including at least a tablespoon of EVOO in daily diet is beneficial in many other ways. Just make sure its a good quality pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil. http://news.rutgers.edu/research-news/ingredient-olive-oil-looks-promising-fight-against-cancer/20150211#.VYkWCPlVikq

Not sure what you mean by "well known", whether you are looking for international publications that specialise in health and fitness that are available in Dubai shops, or you want locally published health magazines, but if you take a trip to any of the major bookstores such as Borders, Kinokuyia or even C4 you will find many from both regions in English and Arabic on the shelves. hth

Is there anyone from Cheltenham and the surrounding areas that could offer me some advice on best areas to live and some good recommendations of primary schools within the area please?? I'm in the final stages of interview for a fabulous new job and desperately need some direction as I have no clue about this area of the UK! Thanks in advance... I cannot advise on specific areas but for schooling there is a really useful real estate website that will give you all the nearest schools on your property search results, and show whether the house is in the catchment for the school you want, plus the OFTED rating together with the likelihood of getting a place there. For example this listing in Cheltenham http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-44974675.html?premiumA=true hth
