Thanks, I will keep trying. I was hoping you were still using him, in which I could have ambushed him. You don't know if he has a registered company or works for someone else? This is the first time something like this has happened to me, enough to make me lose my faith! I suppose this is a lesson! I did think about the police, but I don't have any proof. Do you think they would entertain me?

Hi!! Thanks for responding! I was hoping you could help me. You see, I saw an earlier post of yours on gardeners and contacted the gardener you mentioned- Aziz. I have an irrigation drip line and wanted it laid out properly as it wasn't done so initially. He said he would charge me Dh 200 and brought a couple of people the next day and they did a so-so job( in retrospect). Then when he came to pick them up, I asked if he could install timers on my lines, and he said yes, the ones with warranty cost Dhs 220 a piece and I need 3. Now here's where I was stupid. I gave Him Dhs 550, which is all I had on me (thankfully) and he said I could pay him later, and he'd get the timers and return the next day. The next day when I called, he said his people were stuck in AUH, and the following day, I kept calling and he kept saying they were being delayed at some project but would be there soon. I even spoke to one of his gardeners who said the same. The next day (yesterday), I tried calling and he doesnt pick up my calls any more. He also switched off his phone. I'm in a bit of shock because I have never been swindled in Dubai, and so blatantly! I have no proof or witnesses as he obviously didnt give me a receipt for the money he took from me. But why would someone do something like this?! Do you still use him? Is there any way I can find him? Sorry to unload all this on you!

Hi Quicksilver, I'm sorry but this is a completely different subject, and this was the only way to contact you. I had seen one of your posts in an earlier thread where you recommended your gardener, Aziz (the main guy). Are you still using him? I'm afraid I'm having a bit of trouble and wanted to speak with you. Could you please contact me at [email protected]?

Oooh, I just saw it on groupon too! I'd so love to do a keratin treatment, but like you said, I'm not sure it's the real deal? How do they afford to give it away for so little if the actual cost is in '000s? I did do a keratin treatment at Saks- same offer from groupon. I guess it was ok, though it lasted only around a month. Since I've never done it before, I don't know what it was really supposed to be like.
