I assume you're looking for the "pure" acetone to remove Shellac Nails ??? I never found it for sale here, but the little salon behind Landmarks {called J&J } used to give me some. Be careful, some of the other nail salons tried to remove it by filing it off ... !!!!

If you live over West bay area the Intercon are really good too, and quick. The dry cleaners are in the car park !!

Welcome to Doha !! I can't help re the gas bottles, but if you are in a compound just ask the srcurity guards and they will point you in the right direction. I get my water delivered by Nestle, phone no is : 44503332. They deliver on a set day each week , depending on where you live, and you buy a book of coupons 200 qr for 20, which I leave out with the empty bottles. Darina xx

I think most nail salons in Doha will do them, but I got mine at the little kiosk place in Landmark {opposite Pauls }. They don't have a large choice of colours, and it's a bit of a faff, but still worth it ! Good luck...

Hi Masha, I don't know where in Doha you are, but there is a lovely group of ladies who meet on a Sunday morning at 10 am, at the Pearl. At the moment the coffee morning is at the Chocolate Shop, and we usually sit outside. There is a real mix of ages, both young and not so young !!! Hope to see you there. :)

To any of the ladies who called me the easiest way is to go to the east entrance of West bay lagoon {turn left at the Zig- Zag roundabout} and then call me. it's very easy once you are in the lagoon. xx:)

This is a difficult one, the only place I can be sure of is the Golf Club. Really lovely this time of year, as you can sit outside, and I've seen lots of kids. The Market at the W allows kids, as do most of the hotels, but I don't think they do kids menus, so it could be very expensive. Sorry I can't be more helpful...

I would definitely recommend the Al Maha service, it doesn't cost that much extra on top of the price of the visa. If he is travelling QA they will arrange a wheelchair, and a lift, for no extra charge, too, you just have to pre-book. I just got back from Bangkok, where I broke my ankle, and QA were fantastic. Al Maha met me on board, whisked me through immigration, and arranged a porter to collect my luggage. We have used them several times for visitors, and it makes the whole arrival process much easier. They will accompany him out to the arrival area, to meet you, so you needn't worry about him. Darina x

Ladynorth, and mrvm, the new salon in the Intercon use Wella products. It's where the old Nails salon was, and the number is :44844045. I just had a wash and blow dry , so I have no idea how well {or badly !!} they do colouring. Good luck ...... It's called La Forme. <em>edited by darinaw on 10/02/2011</em>
