Personally, I am willing to wait. I am way too excited about the iOS6 coming out on 19th Sept http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/whats-new/?cid=wwa-uk-kwg-features-00596 Basically the software that appears on the iphone5. Of course its not the same as having the latest hardware, but hey..... some things are worth waiting for especially when they have extremeley ridiculous price tags.

the value of the 2 products does not amount to 500 dhs, so i'm definitely looking out for 'Bonus Time'.

Just bought one in Ibn Batutta, there is a stall near the giant elephant in India Court. I think it was 295. You must have bought the last one from there. Yesterday they already had compiled a waiting list for the product so I left my name and number. Later that day I saw them fully stocked in Meadows Town Centre. Thanks. Also, thanks to jcdubai for your tips. ;)

..............I think Barry M eyeliners are superb and ever so cheap but I'm not sure if you can find it here in Dubai but you certainly can in the larger Boots in the UK. I haven't tried NYX but I'll look out for it. They are now! :) Barry M is here now, finally! Saw it in Boots in Ibn Battuta today, so am pretty sure thats all the Boots here. And its 3 for 2. !!

Thanks for sharing! Welcome! I swear if I had won the lottery I would buy it for any eczema sufferer. :) I'm that convinced by it. I've seen the heartache my family's have been through with their lil ones, including me. I wish this product was advertised better. For anyones info...the ground floor chemist at Dubai Mall, near clinton cards gave me a sachet sample to try out and this is where it all rooted from. Its not the cheapest of products but swear it's sooo worth it.

DH has a Mac Book Pro and runs a number of email accounts for personal and business use. He has had lots of problems with email account set up and messages not being received. Can anyone suggest a company / individual who can assist him before he throws it out of the window! Seriously though he is getting very frustrated with it and needs some help..... iStyle in Ibn Battutta Mall.??? Or Protech on Sheikh Zayed road outside business bay metro station. Both places have MAc specialists. There are others but these two are very well known.

I've got curver adjustable trays which were from C4 I think. Got it !! Thanks! :) Someone made a comment earlier, looks like it's been deleted. So yes, to whom ever made the smart comment about losing sleep over it. Well, looks like I can sleep easy now :D :D :D I must have been mistaken thinking this was a forum where I could get advise (raised eyebrow). Thanks to all who replied with positive responses, much appreciated.

Hi, I can't remember the last time I paid rip-off prices anywhere else. :) I've been going to a shop called Moments in Meena Bazaar. Been buying perfume from them for about 6 years now. I'm forever taking friends and family there too when they come over. Tel: 04-3519810 You wont be disappointed. Trust me~!~!

The Entertainer books are value for money, but I would like to know for 295 dhs (upgrade), what exactly you get from this and whether its worth it on top of paying the actual family book price (350 dhs). edited by Diamante on 09/08/2012

Does anyone have a phone number for the newly (re) opened branch of Burj al Hamman opposite Jumeira Beach Park? We used to use the old one on the first floor there all the time, then it closed down, but they've re-opened now on the ground floor and I'd like to go there for Iftar. Has anyone been to the re-opened version and was it busy? Oh! I wondered where that had gone?. Only ever been once and absolutely loved it. Do you mean its in the same building but inside on ground floor? I see them popping up everywhere, one soon to open in MOE opp Zara, and one in Marina Mall soon next to Early Learning centre. I love their fried potatoes (a bit like bombay potatoes), really moorish and their grill. Can you tell i'm fasting :( Don't think ive tried anything else.

My friend bought some for her place in the Marina. Ready made blackout curtains from homes r us. They have rings on them, so slide very easily. When I went with her to Dragon Mart they were charging around 2000 dhs for blackout blinds for 3 windows. It was a painstaking long process, going from one stall to another choosing material and then getting prices. I was sooooooo bored and was practically dragging her out (you need patience, which I haven't got). She picked up each curtain from homes are us at 79 dhs :D so fit out her whole place at less than 500 dhs. There were only a few colours to choose from and only 2 neutral from what i remember. The material itself is blackout, so it didnt need any extra backing to it. BONUS! They are almost a couple of inches longer than the window; she has large windows too, but she has hemmed them already with wonder web. Can't believe we walked into homes r us and walked back out again with curtains in less than 10 mins. ;) Might be worth checking.

Day 3 of living in Dubai so still getting used to things but I've been noticing some tiny sand coloured bugs, really tiny like tiny grains of rice. Is this normal here? I know my place got fumigated last week so perhaps this is totally normal living in a hot country but would be interested to know if this is normal or not? I'm going to buy sealed containers tomorrow to store any opened foods regardless! OMG! :\: Me too. Ive not just seen a couple in my kitchen but in the living room on my dark sofa and one on my laptop yesterday too. Where have they come from.? The kitchen? Really? It's a fair walk. Lol. Joking aside though, it makes me itch, even now, how do I get rid of them. Do i need to get pest control. I lay down on my sofa and cushions, I darent now :(

Samsung are saying a water damaged phone is going to cost me AED650 dhs, since warranty doesn't cover water damage. As its not covered with warranty surely I can take it somewhere else and not have to have it repaired only by them??. AED 650 is ridiculous, considering the galaxy is probably worth double that now. Anyone experienced this? Or can recommend a place that will repair it cheaper.?

I have the PERFECT one, well for me anyway. :D We can't be bothered switching the AC on and off during the night, in our bedroom, so we invested in one of these. Had it for almost a year. It depends what you want it for, some Oscillating Tower fans fan from bottom to top, if you're laying in bed, this is rubbish as most of the air is going under the bed. The one I have has vents starting a quarter of the way up (bed height) onwards to the top of the fan. It has a remote control...... woo-hooo!! ;) The remote control (slim palm-sized one) is always left in between us our 2 pillows ;) so either of us can change the setting or swich it on/or off. The remote doesn't glow in the dark :( but we kinda know which buttons to press now :D hahaha! In summary: Silver Remote control Oscillating (a few different settings) 90 degrees, 180, 360.... A few other things..... (can mention later when I've had a better look at what we dont use that much) Very contemporary look. Best ever Investment in a Tower fan (better than the one I had in the UK tbh). Bought this from Lulu (near MOE) 2nd floor (The Home Furnishings level) last year ish'). When I get home tonight, I will post the brand name of it on here. ;)

They had a really good recipe in the magazine 'Friday' is it a newspaper insert? not sure, I took a photo of it I remember. But it was like over a year ago :( I will see if I can find it, as I'm also a fan of this dish. Best hotel one I've had so far is at Al Bustan Rotana (near Airport) ........and I've had some not so clever ones, this one by far the best. Hopefully someone can give us a recipe in the meantime. Report back IF I find it.

For those who have tried it.. How good is it really?? Would like your reviews Absolutely fantastic! Used them for years and used them when I gave up my apartment. At handover time although there wasn't anything too noticeable on the walls, the scuffs that were made due to furniture sitting against the walls werent even seen after using this. Agent was impressed that it didn't need a repaint. Lol! :D Highly recommended, kinda addictive once you get going too. ;)

ideally you will have to get the blackout removed before you clean them.... Really? :-O What a hassle. Tahnk god I didnt go for them curtains with the white backing. I found some cheap blackout curtains in Homes R us, not many appealing colours but they do the trick, are extra long and extra cheap. Theyre in NEW but going like hotcakes, I recommend them to anyone needing blackout and on a budget.

This is why both my husband and I put a personal message on the lock screen. You can do this for a blackberry and I'm sure there's a way to do it for an iphone. When it's on the lock screen it says If Found or in case of Emergency contact... and then we each have the other's name and mobile number written on it. So if I lost my phone or was injured or something, someone would instantly see my husband's mobile on my phone without having to unlock it. Yes we use this feature on ours too. Can someone tell me how you do this please. Just bought an iphone. ;)

Fitness First have recently acquired the Hayya Clubs in Lakes, Meadows and Springs. These 3 gyms are reasonably equipped and maintained with quite a variety of classes which they have been expanding into new areas since the acquisition. I can't really compare them to other gyms here beacuse I have only ever been a member of the Hayya Club. As far as classes are concerned I have only done RPM and TRX and been happy with the instructors there. I tried Zumba and walked out after 2 mins, LOL. Thought that instructor was a bit unprofessional. I think these would be the ones closest to you, but there may also be a couple down in the Marina or JBR area. Personally, I'm not especially happy with FF's customer Service attitude. They are very unresponsive to requests, and do not like to take accountability but the local venue is literally 5 mins walk from my home, so I stick with them :-/. FF as in Fitness first not Fidelity Fitness right? As I'm a member at Fidelity and had absolutely no issues. Gregory you coudl trial Fidelity; they let you try out their classe sor the gym before joining. http://www.fidelityfitnessclub.com/ The one I go to is in JLT, but they have another opened recently in Marina/JBR. Yet to check it out. So far.............loving it. ;)
