Dior sun bronzer is amazing. You could also try bare minerals make up it is also really good. Bare Minerals 'Medium Tan' or 'Warmth' give a nice matt and tanned look. I use medium tan as it's my skin colour and i touch up with warmth very slightly on cheekbones forehead and down my nose :) Go trial it in Sephora. Get them to test it out on you. ;) edited by Diamante on 11/06/2012

I am so ditching my GHDs for Cloud Nine straightners. Tried them out at my hairdressers. It's amazing!!! and you can control the heat and end up with the same results. Much cheaper in UK, online website. Buying one for sis, next week. ;-)

I'm not going to be too much help, but thought I'd post anyway! I use Bare Minerals Foundation, and I too find it too matt, if you don't use the mineral veil powder over the top. Just in case you decide to try mineral make up again, I'd make sure you buy the mineral veil, it gives you a really subtle sheen, and it lasts well. >>>>>>>>>>>>>. I was going to say exactly the same thing. Never looked back after ditching my mac liquid foundation and converted to Bare Minerals. I swear by it. Converted 9 ladies I know, already and counting. Love it when the guys say, wow, u have beautiful skin and you dont even wear that foundation rubbish that most women wear :D LOL!.

Ever thought of going to the refilling shops for your european cartridges? I have a portable HP printer, most times I have refilled. some times they tell me that its damaged and they cant - thats when I'll go and buy a fresh one again. I can get mine from any Carrefour if i want brand new ones. ;)

Imagine my frustration. I live next door to Almas Tower, I went all the way to Ibn Battuta to not even find a sign to say 'we've moved'. I had to ask the coffee shop next door. Anyway, walk into Almas tower main entrance, you'll see lifts in front of you, not the ones where you have to go through security. Just the other public ones, then up to first floor and walk round. You'll find it roudn the corner from the DMCC office.

Diamante, Is it the new large Choithrams in DEC Tower?. I have been there a few times and it's not too bad. Some of the fresh meat is a bit cheaper than Geant and they seem to have more choice. As for the other 'bulk' items, could be a bit more expensive but like the others have said, nip once a month and stock up on these items in C4. Sometimes they have special offers as well http://www.choithram.com/offers/details.aspx?id=156 Yes, thats the one. Attached to DEC Tower. Thanks all for the tips. Will bear it in mind. Great to know meat is good there though. ;)

I removed and washed my cabrio fix last week. Very easy. Washed it in the washing machine on gentle. If you don't have manual you can get it online and it tells you how to take it off. Perfect thanks :)

I use lee Stafford (famous hairdresser in uk) humidifier spray ...in bright pink bottles works for me .....spinneys or boots stock his products. Also doesn't make the hair oily or greasy :) Yippeeee!!!!! Thanks so much for recommending this. After a good few tries, I can confirm this works!!!!!! :):) But you must follow the instructions on the bottle; spray at arms length and not so close like its hair spray or perfume :D otherwise it just ends up looking greasy. LOL. (My first go!) :D Ive used it a few nights where I've had to sit outside and absolutely no frizziness. Amazing product. Great that i got it on buy one get one free. It also leaves a nice scent too. Thanks fairycakeyumm - you're star!!! ;)

Thanks for this info.... I might go and have a try. I'm really impressed by their make up so far.... Never had heard of Illamasqua before, I just happen to stop at the counter one day. I ended up buying a beautiful gold/bronze highlighter for cheekbones; shows up really glam even in photos. I've tried their black liquid eyeliner, its amazing (Stays on perfect with not even a slight smudge later on) Looks 'just applied' always. Not bought it yet though. Been addicted to shoes this month.... LOL. Worth trying their products out. edited by Diamante on 11/05/2012

I bought the new Ipad. But I am really impressed by the Kindle Fire... so much more compact; great for travelling or on the beach. I know kindles have that matt effect where you can actually read things off it in the sun. But with the ipad there is a glare and it is bigger. I've only watched the video tour, I'd like to see it up close.

I take my time getting ready, paying a lot of attention to my hair ; heat protection, straightening, then serum, only for my hair to frizz within 5 mins of sitting outside. Sitting outside for dinner and at bars, the weather is perfect, not too hot but im getting annoyed by it making my hair look messy. Does anyone have any/found any solutions? Sprays/serums etc.

I found out when I left JLT to go to Ibn Battuta only to find it boarded up (with no signage out on the boards). I found out from the waiter at Gloria Jeans coffee Shop next door to where they used to be, that they have moved........ only to where I just travelled from JLT. (Raised eyebrow). Their website has not been updated (still says Egypt Court, Ibn Batutta) Their automated message on their telephone service (still says Egypt Court, Ibn Batutta) Apparently they sent notification out by post; still waiting for it. So, for those who want to know, they are now based at Almas Tower in JLT, 1st floor, just a little round the corner from the Fidelity Fitness Gym. edited by Diamante on 02/04/2012

Thank you... :) We live in JLT and caught the metro instead. Recommended ;) Btw, loved 'Taste of Dubai', my first time. Food was awesome, and Entertainment was great too. Yday was a beautiful hot day, so it just topped the day/evening off. For anyone who goes and decides to stay for a relaxing evening. Take a blanket to sit on. There are bean bags, but of course, not enough. :)

Can you STILL put the E-gate facility on your Emirates ID Card? (Heard its also slightly cheaper to do it this way) Does anyone have oen card that does the 2 jobs? and is it working ok? I know there were teething problems at first with it. I am due to renew my ID card and I do not have an E-gate card yet, so wondered if this was still the case.

I bought the duo highlighter with bronzer - using it around my cheekbones.....I absolutley recommend it. Looks fab on the photos. ;) I also have tried (but not yet bought) their liquid eyeliner. I tried it on - Stayed put on my eyelids and didnt get sweaty or fade towards the evening. In fact still looks very sharp and bright jet black in colour through the night. Ready to buy but i spent my money on 2 more YSL lippys (naughty - I know!) . I wont switch from bare minerals foundation….EVER…I don’t think. But quite keen to try Ilamasquas eye shadows/pigment. Hope this helps!

If you're picking the visitors up from the airport, can't you get the card from one of the kiosks there whilst you're waiting for them? Hmmm!!! I wasn't planning on paying for my parking. :D I was planning on them telling me they're out and me whizzing round and picking them up at pick up point. ;)

The sale has already started. No offers to Birmingham, but LHR and Gatwick for around 2,200 Dhs No good for me, it will cost to travel from there and the drive would kill me. I think KLM and air france with a 1-2 hr layover will have to do. :)

just got an email from Emirates saying their 3 day sale starts tomorrow...so maybe the prices will be less What sale???? The prices are still the same. At least for Birmingham anyway. A whopping AED 4150!!!:\: Always travelled emirates but i'm not paying that price. JUst tried checking prices on KLM website and Air france website. A lil teeny stop over but hey sooooo much cheaper. Wish there were other airlines travelling to B'ham. :(
