Don't you need permision from the film distributer to show films in public - don't they take royalties. That's why I said earlier on all DVD's it states 'not for public screenings'. In palces like the UK, you pay a PRS royalty fee for things like that. But not sure that has anything to do with Dubai Municipality... (as you stated) Well they have to licence permissions for things, so that would be my first stop. Or seeing like Wafi do 'movies under the stars' give them a call and see what they do about their public screenings. They'd have a contact, if permission is necessary,

It's not 'in theory' - that's the job description. These are the people passengers rely on if there is a problem or an incident and to belittle their role with terms like 'trolley dolly' - is not nice IMHO. As for the soda issue. Not his palce to say that.

It's not his place to stand up to anyone! He is a trolley dolly and shouldn't comment if anyone wants chicken or beef, pepsi or juice, a large G&T or a soft drink! People just love to interfere! I think you'll find that, according to pretty much every aviation authority, it is indeed the primary job of "trolley dollies" (lovely!) to stand up to passengers ie to manage safety on board. If you ever get stuck next to someone on their 8th voddie of the morning, or someone who's loudly kicking off because they want a vegan meal but couldn't be bothered ordering one, or find the toilet bin on fire because someone had a sneaky smoke then you might appreciate why this is. Obviously in this instance the crew was wrong, if it's actually true as reported, and should be disciplined or re trained. Not really - their role is to serve customers who have paid money to be on the flight. A small part of their job is problem solving and managing safety but please - serving a 6yo a Pepsi is hardly managing safety! Just seems like interfering to me. Actually NO! The 'small' part of their job is serving people - their primary role is for airline and passenger safety!!!

Well first you need to find a doctor and a gynae for those. The Mediclinic is pretty good as is GMC on beach road. Depending what the blood tests are for, the doctor might be able to get them covered on insurance - if you have any.

The municipality should be able to tell you. Various outlets around Dubai show movies outside and I would assume they'd have to pay some sort of fee seeing as all movies come with the warning 'not for public showings'.

As I said, go to a doctor. They can advise on the best pill for YOU! Just because people on here might recommend what they use, doesn't mean it will be effective or suitable for you. Everyone is different. I went through SIX different pills before I found one that suited me best. Please get professional advice, especially when it comes to things like this.

Please go to a doctor and get professional advice on birth control! What works for one person, might not work for another. All contraceptive pills have certain risk factors for various groups of women. NEVER just stop taking pills without seeking medical advice first.

I recently heard someone say " Do you not know who I am" and the person shouted down the queue "does anyone know who this person is as they don't know who they are". The entire queue laughed and needless to say the person went very red and shuffled off Brilliant! I shall have to remember that :)

Wow what a hideous human being! Some people just really don't know how to behave. Explaining things to a child is fine, but there are ways and means of doing it, without being a nuisance to others. I hate sitting next to the 'commentators' and I can't count how many times I've had to say 'excuse me, but I've paid to watch the film, nt to listen to you explain every single scene'. One woman I said this to, got the right hump, go up and as she went to leave with her boyfriend who she'd been yapping away to the whole time, said to me 'you better know who you're speaking to before you say anything' - oh really? I simply replied 'who? clearly someone with bad manners, who doesn't know how to behave in public!!!''. Soon shut her up and she left. I have no tolerance for poor manners, no matter WHO they are or think they are.

Thanks,I will just go to City Hospital and have it checked there then. :) The docs normally need to get insurance approval for thyroid testing. But once that's done, you just go to the lab at any time and they'll do it for you.

At least with natural sugar, it's pretty much the first thing that the body burns off and uses for fuel. Just get brushing those teeth! Yes it does. That is why people are getting fatter and fatter. The body uses sugar for fuel, if you overload your body with sugar, you body will only use what it needs before storing the rest as fat. Whereas if you stop sugar the body will use fat for fuel therefore resulting in weight loss. Well obviously, if you're eating tonnes of the stuff. Too uch of anything is bad for you. Everything in moderation. But the natural stuff is better than the sweetners etc.

Are they being sent via courier? If you have the tracking number, call the company and give them the correct details. Otheriwse see if the post office can tell you who the PO box belongs to.

Someone else gave a great tip the other day reagarding this. Inform RERA and DEWA that your LL or his next of kin will be moving in - they put a block on the account, so that a new connection can only be made in his name and if that doesn't happen he's in big trouble,

Sounds like the dog was probably abused by children and hence his fear. Plus many dogs don't like children because of their unpredictability. My last dog HATED children with a passion and it wasn't because anyone had done anything to her, she didn't have the patience to work out what they wanted so would rather run in the opposite direction or growl and warn them to go away. It's really sad when animals have a fear like this. Putting hm to sleep is a bit of an overreaction personally. He just needs a home with no young children.

If there are problems and issues in a relationship, you talk it through, and decide on a course of action - it doesn't give them free rein to mess about. Actually, if it was me then posting on a forum, or even using the computer at all, would probably be the last thing i'd be doing... People deal with things in different ways. It's not for others to judge really.

Just reading back through Celesti's posts. So the teacher was fired with a labour ban - meaning she's now stuck with no income. *click* could it be that the whole baby scenario is made up for her to get revenge? Given what she did before to force the affair out into the open? After all the issues, let's face it, who would have her, so who else is she going to sink her claws into but OP's husband and force him to support her and keep her life here. Just a thought. I'd question whether there actually IS a baby? All seems a little coincidental and convenient. But truth or not, HIS reaction is appalling. Endless complaints with this company , I do HOPE they are closed down. When we're dealing with a living soul, it's not only about business and money. How bleeping naive, Nath! So, who should foot the bill, huh???? The owners are responsible for the welfare of their pets & they are not the victims here. It is the 4 dead dogs! I am a Vet Nurse with 17 years in the business & the amount of times clients have expected a freebie or a discount because they had a rescue or were currently on hard times!!! well, BooHoo, but I too have mouths to feed, school fees to pay etc etc etc…. You don't see my ferrari out the front of the clinic! If you cannot afford 4 dogs, then you shouldn't have 4 dogs… And boarding them long term is a really naff financial decision! Wow please let us know where you work, so we can avoid your unfeeling heart at all costs! And actually, many vets here DO give discounts for people who have rescued animals.

A GoPro is a small digital camera that takes both video and still images. Lots of people use them for extreme sports and they are easily attached to things. That's what I need!!! are they expensive? The new ones the GoPro Hero 3 are about 1,500 - 2,000 dhs depending which kit you buy with it. You find it in sports shops mostly. I'm sure you can buy cheaper cameras as these have specific uses, such as sticking on surfboards, attaching to the helmets of skydivers etc.

Try taking it to one of the little shops in computer plaza and see if they can fix it/recover the data. Doesn't sound good if the screen won't come on though, but that in itself might be fixable.

i have had many cars that are neary touching my back bumper and flashing me to move out of the way even though i am driving at the correct speed for the road, if i cannot move over safely i will not move over, it annoys me so many times that people get scared and just pull blindly into the other lanes and then affects those cars and cause more damage and accidents because of it..... sorry if there is nowhere to go you will just have to wait.... But then if the one behind you has no brain, and cannot comprehend this, the over take you on the inside, squeezing themselves in between your car and the barrier. Just a 1 cm movement would wipe us both out and other surrounding cars. Makes me so angry, hence my desire for dash cams!! Oh I've had people literally try to push me into the central reservation in their bid to undertake and barging their way between cars - terrifying. Remindsme, I must stick the GoPro on the dash.

Ah the creepy divers that follow you. Yup, had this on several occassions. Don't wait. If you get the plate number you should report them asap. I usually wave my phone at them at make it obvious that I'm taking a photo and/or calling the police - they usually disappear pretty quickly.

Poor little thing. My heart breaks at stories like this. The Bin Kitty Collective are also excellent when it comes to TNR - they have agreements with Nad Al Shiba and another vets and if you email them details, they will arrange a special rate for neutering.
