Yes it's in the Mazaya Centre, but there are TWO typing shops! One located next to each of the main entrances. It's the one the Shk Zayed road side, not the carpark side round the back.

Sorry Sarah, I was out the country, only just got back. Yes you can do it at the Mazaya centre, in the typing shop closest to the side of Shk Zayed road, not the ne in the back - if that makes sense. I was easy and only took 10 minutes.

When you say 'exotic animals' - what type of animals are they keeping? And yes you can go to the municipality and report them. If the animals are that 'exotic' they probably require a CITES certificate and paperwork to have them (chances are they won't) and they can be confiscated.

From what I'[ve read elsewhere Cedre Villas and Semmer villas. The cats are just being covered in fuel - which will burn their skin anyway. It's peoples pets being targeted from what I gather - not the strays. I don't live there, I don't have any other info, other than what I'm seeing on another forum.

If people REALLY want to do something, then they need to take responsibility and DO something themselves. Catch the mother/male cats and take them to be neutered at a vet which offer the Feline Friends discount. All these organisations are voluntary - they don't have money or staff growing on trees.

I try to do something everyday. It might be a run, gym, gym class, home workout, paddle board - but something to get me moving. For those that say 'wish I had the time' - you have to MAKE the time. Once you've got 30-60 mins a day into your life for an activity it becomes second nature. My friend recently bought me a Jawbone UP bracelet - it's brilliant! It tracks my steps, vibrates when I've been sat too long and forces me to get up and move about. Plus it also tracks sleep and you can put your food intake into it as well - once you start to see the correlations between activity, food and sleep - you're forced to make changes.

Thank you ladies - will check all out. It is good to know there are some who won't charge a fortune just because it is a wedding! It can be a nightmare, the minute you mention the W word to any supplier, they want to double or triple the cost. I got all my flowers for the same cost, most flourists wanted for just my bouquet.

Was it you? er no! - be very careful before you start throwing accusations at people!!! Still there's enough info there for some people to work it out. As I said, putting peoples personal details online goes against UAE privacy laws! Sue, just call the police, tell them what happened and let them contact her - or go and deal with it yourself. OR you can simply say to the police that your car was scratched and you don't know who did it - they will give you a green slip anyway so your insurance would cover it. FYI, someone scratched the entire rear side of my car the other week - haven't done anything about it. Will just deal with it myself. <em>edited by FairyDust on 21/10/2013</em>

I can recommend Garden Gate Flowers, next to the Eat & Drink place on Al Wasl Road, just past the Co-Op. Tiny little flourist, but they do some beautiful work and they won't charge a fortune either. Why not save on the cost and do it yourself? Buy a bunch of pizza bases from the supermarket and ingredients for toppings and ready-made sauces. Also making your own pizza bases with packet dough is dead easy as well.

100mb - which is the package I assume you're on - is nothing in data terms. If you have an iphone make sure all your apps are switched to only update when the phone is connected to wifi, as many apps update in the background and can swallow your data. I have the 1GB a month package and am only just scraping inside that. No difference laving it on 3G - it's still using data. 4G or LTE is 'meant' to be faster, but it's hit and miss here. My phone tends to just sit on 3G.

Login to Find My iPhone (using your iTunes login details that you used to start your phone up) as register it as stolen. As soon as it is switched on it'll appear on the map. If someone in your house has an i device you can login there. Thta's hopefully assuming that 'find my iphone' is activated on the phone.

There is a very easy way round this and this is what my husband did when he sold his car, which was financed. The buyer went with him, to the bank, the buyer gave the money to the bank to pay off the loan - the excess was given to my husband, all receipts, clearance letters were done there and then. They both then went to the RTA and did the transfer - easy. Don't accept giving them part payment and trusting them to pay off the car loan. YOU go to the bank with them. This is the way it should be done. edited by FairyDust on 17/10/2013 that does not always work because you need to get the bank clearance letter first in order to take it off the registration file. each time i have done it its been 5 days but we are in auh, one of the banks had to "talk" to the dxb office so maybe its quicker in dxb but you still dont get it straight away with all loans/banks. At my husbands bank they gave him the clearance letter there and then. If you push them, they will do it.

There's no such thing as 'white gold' - it's merely yellow gold, which is mixed with a white/silver alloy (other metal) that gives it the whiter colour. You can never truly get white gold, so it's rhodium plated - to give it that shiny silver look - and when that plating wears off the yellower colour shows through. 'White gold' rings need replating around every 6 months or sooner if you're tough on your rings. They scratch and mark alot because the metal is soft - outlets aren't allowed to seel less than 18ct gold here - the higher the carat, to softer the metal. If you want something that doesn't scratch or wear down as quickly, then you need to look at Platinum or Paladium and Titanium. I replate my engagement and wedding rings there and they do it for free - takes 10 mins. <em>edited by FairyDust on 08/10/2013</em>

I dont understand the logic of stopping smoking by getting nicotine another way.... seems a bit illogical really. Patches or gum are better. It;s the nicotine that's addictive, but when you inhale it, all those nasty smoke toxins and tar basically destroy your lungs. The theory is it's a smoke-less delivery system, but there's no evidence at the moment to suggest that they are any safer than actual cigarettes. I tried them, they're vile. i disagree - you smoke to get the nicotine and the action, if you are still going for a smoke by popping a piece of gum - how are you breaking the habit - if that makes sense. you have to want to and decide to stop smoking to succeed and deciding to replace isn't really quitting; from my experience. For some people the 'action' of holding a cigarette is a difficult thing to give up. I can't relate to all these replacements as I literally just one day went cold turkey, decided to give up and never looked back.

They're banned in quite a few countries now, because no real studies haev been carried out to see how safe they actually are. Whilst they might not deliver the same amount of tobacco as actual cigarettes, they're still pretty toxic - and that's the problem.

He pretty much said the co-owners constitutions aren't worth the paper they're written on and are guidelines only. He said if Taziz tries to enforce anything, then we can complain directly to the owners association. I totally understand why they've sent it round as I'm tired of irresponsible pet owners, but knee jerk reactions are never good and I dread to think how many will try to rehome or dump their pets now. There are currently around 60 dogs and who knows how many cats.

Thanks Becky66 and Marti. Well I have friends in JBR who have pets, so clearly they haven't managed to enforce it successfully there. We'll see. If there are enough of us, maybe we can fight it - I've already found a couple of loopholes to pull them up on, so we'll see. Thank you to those who are positive and supportive and understand that a pet is a family member - it's appreciated.

Considering over half the residents have pets - getting rid of them is certainly NOT an option! You don't get id of a family members - oh wait some of you do! Look, we asked the agent, we asked security, we checked all the notice boards, others even called the property management and all were told, yes, yes, yes pets allowed - it's even in everyone's contracts from their LL's! So how in any way, shape or form does this seem fair? And I was asking IF anyone LIVING there had received the notice i.e. trying to gauge whether it's a case by case issue where people have been complained about, OR a blanket thing going out. Or if anyone had dealt with this siatuation elsewhere and what they were doing.

She seems to of asked in a nice way, so I wouldn't want to cause any waves. It could just be the new owner wondering if they have to find a new tenant. The law is on your side so you don't have to worry about being evicted. Or from another angle the buyers want to live in it themselves and having a tenant will make them think twice about the purchase. I understand that also but this is Dubai and a lot can change between now and then ( It is a long way off) I cannot make a decision 8 months in advance. All the people who have looked at the property have turned up with families in tow. I would be surprised if a family of 5 would move into a one bed and all of them asked what rent I paid erm I was in no way having a go at you - actually replying to someone else and merely stating that it could be a factor for some of the potential buyers - some people buy property to use as a holiday home etc. That has nothing to do with you and in no way should it affect or influence what you choose to do in several months time.

There's no option or section related to temporary licenses on the RTA website and the section on the Dubai Police website hasn't been updated since 2005. Call the RTA on 8009090 and they will tell you quickly enough. The basic rule was that visitors cannot drive the car of a resident - many insurance companies will tell you it's ok and they are covered (all they want is your money), but if they have an accident, the police will tell you they are NOT covered! I queried this for my parents when they visited - it was a resounding NO - they cannot drive my car. Don't risk it. Either get her to hire a car for her stay or use public transport.

I wouldn't jump into that right now, they're all merely asking IF you intend to stay or not - so I guess the buyers can decide what they want to do. I'm so sorry. Always ALWAYS ask to see ID of anyone that comes to your door, and NEVER sign anything you haven't had translated. If you have his phone number, I suggest you pass it onto the police asap to track him down. Who knows what that document was, it could have been anything.
