I give my maid and nanny their toiletries...I try and accommodate if they have a brand preference but within limits...sale and offer items are always my first preference...

Got our AXA cards but don't know the first thing about where to go for services and would like some recommendations. My 3 year old is overdue for her 3 year check up and my 5 year old is overdue for her allergist/pulmonologist appointment. We live near Al Rayyan Petrol station. Thanks! edited by darkstarin on 15/09/2014 Dr Sridhar at American hospital...he is the best...

Make extra veggies, potatoes and gravy as the turkeys are usually huge but the side dishes small This is true, unless you order multiple portions of the side dishes you want...

We have got a house full for Christmas this year and thought that a home delivery of Christmas lunch might be a good idea. Have any of you done this and do you have any recommendations of golf clubs/hotels to use please? Thanks and I know it's only September but I understand they get booked up! Emirates Towers do a fantastic Christmas lunch...we order every year...it's outstanding...

OP out of pure interest what were you advised to do when you were given the test results? they want me to go and see their doc who takes care of candida related stiff...but I wanted to go to a hospital instead and get it looked at...don't mind going and seeing them as well as they are quite reputable (or so I've heard)...

OP, I can't determine by your post wording, when you say you "found out about it," do you mean you were diagnosed when your food intolerance tests were performed, or rather you were informed that this *could* be condition you suffer from? Most people who I know who have suffered from candida had severe symptoms. I also find it strange that the place where you had this intolerance test didn't give you any recommendations for medicinal therapy or guidance. At least I am assuming they didn't, since you are asking for a reference for a physician on this forum. @beebers...I got the food intolerance test done at the Dubai treatment and herbal centre...since I have tested positive for candida I'd like to go to a specialist in a hospital for the treatment...I usually go to the American hospital but they have one GI specialist and appointments are not available until oct...I am not really suffering from it in any way but since it is an imbalance, I want to get it fixed...

If possible I would wait until 12-18 month. I think they are better with a nanny when they are less than a year, it was just a guideline I set up for myself. And even then just maybe introduce nursery 2 -3 half days a week. True....my son goes 3 times a week from 8.30 to 12.30...

At what age did you put your little ones in nursery? I am faced with that choice now at 9 months old and he is so active (walking aided and crawling).. how do they manage with a 3-1 ratio? Thanks, I tried starting my son at JINS when he was a year old...thought he was ready as well but it didn't work...lots of separation anxiety, constant crying and then e fell ill with a bad cold...lasted 3 weeks...anyway we stopped and have started him again now when he is 18 months...he has adjusted much faster and is enjoying himself at the nursery...he still cries when we leave him and go but then settles down...its only a week since he has started...so I would recommend 18 months as a good age to start...
