The UK A level and GCSE syllabuses are in the process of being changed this year and will be finally phased out 2016/17. In A level the new course in the sciences has already been implemented and though the old books may offer help they are not accurate to the new course , the sciences are certainly more in depth , harder and a lot more maths than previous ( my daughters have done both) There is no need to buy past papers they are all online and free- very little avaiable for the new syllabus
