I wonder if you could buy non-toxic glow in the dark paint somewhere, something that doesnt stain so you can put it on clothes and things. Also those glow in the dark bracelets can be snapped in two and the glowy stuff emptied out into jars containing water and glitter. I saw that on pinterest :) I wonder if you can sprinkle it everywhere.

I've found it in Geant and Choitram but to be honest haven't looked elsewhere. Look in the international aisle and if they have a japanese section, it's sure to be there. It is a packet about 7cm by 15cm, about 1cm thick. I cant remember the brand, but it's hard to miss - has 'curry' on the front. This is food-proof, you don't even have to thicken it, it's all in there :) Let me know how it goes if you use it. When I make the meat one, I like to put potatoes and carrots in it, like a stew.

I'd like to make a mild, creamy curry with prawns, chicken or beef. Who knows how to make one, the easy, fast way? Thanks in advance! You can buy Japanese curry. It's really yummy. comes in mild, medium or hot. Find it in the japanese section of the supermarket. I used to make a nice one with chicken. You cut up your chicken, fry it a bit, add some onion, a bunch of chopped corriander, some cashews, add your curry (it comes like a block of chocolate, I used to use about two thirds of the packet) and then add coconut milk. Cook it until the chicken is cooked and it's ready. So yummy. YOu can do the same thing with prawns, or with beef I used to make meat balls and do the same thing, only use water instead of the coconut milk. It's not a genuine bona fide curry but it's quick and delicious!

Hi, I'm a twin mum, mine are 5 yrs old now. I did struggle for the first year as I was basically on my own and hubby is not hands on at all. It gets easier as they get older. Having a strict routine is vital in my belief, as if you can get them in sync with each other, it means more opportunities for rest for you.

Yes, I went through the same thing, fortunately I was in a position to take time off work. It got easier as time went by, I think but 16 weeks or so I had more energy and less aches. Until about 8 months or so, then they start again from the sheer weight you're carrying. At least by then you know it's coming to an end soon. I can only imagine how tired you are having to work. Hopefully it wont be long and you'll be feeling better.

http://www.britvet.com/ Hi, I hope you've found help already for the baby birds :( Thanks for your reply. I ended up just buying some baby bird "formula" from the pet shop. My maid, (God bless her) has been feeding them two-hourly (except at night) and keeping them under a lamp so they're warm. They've perked up and have grown!! My husband is very diappointed, he thought they might be hawks or eagles because of their size, but alas, since they've grown they're looking more like blackbirds. will have to push them out of the nest in a couple of weeks when they can fly :)

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My husband passed away last year from ALS. It's a horrible disease. Though we were in the US, I'd be happy to help in anyway I can. Message back and we'll working something out. ilikepepto, so sorry to hear about your loss :( I can't even imagine what you went through. I've done some research and it seems to be a very unforgiving disease :(. My friend's father is being transferred to this place: www.provita-me.com In Al Ain. It's for respirator dependent people. It looks quite good from the website. My email is ginneeginnee 36 at hotm ail. c om if you'd like to get in touch. Many thanks.

I just got home from work. The parents didnt seem to come back. I've taken them back inside, in the bathroom, no ac. Theyre quite warm in there. cooked some oats, made them v watery and crushed some mortadella into them. Sucked them into a syringe and fed them. The maid had to hold their mouths open as they werent willing to eat. I feel better knowing they've had some protein and fluid. But I may end up taking them to a vet tomorrow. Preferably in abu dhabi.

Thanks RuthM. They're very young, their feathers are poking through, but they are not feathered. The nest must have been destroyed. The neighbour was cutting his trees down. And they were in our driveway, no nest or anything. It makes me wonder if the workmen just flung them over the fence! I had to leave for work this morning, so my maid constructed a little nest using a small shoe box, put some newspaper down and a towel and put them in a nearby tree. They were quiet as anything last night, but this morning they were chirping away, so hopefully this will attract their parents and not any cats.

Not sure what species they are. Fallen from nest of neighbours tree (cut tree down). They're currently in a large box in bathroom. Refuse food or water, shake everytime we come near them. Is there somewhere I can take them?

I had my nose done few months ago and here is a list of Q's I had for my surgeon: What type of anaesthesia do you use and why? Good luck! The surgeon won't be able to answer this. Only the anaesthetist can answer this and it will be a case by case basis. Surgeons should not be doing anaesthetics, if they are then avoid. I had an excellent rhinoplasty by Barry M Jones in London. This was following a 5 iron (golf club), to the face and I basically had no nose, just a big hole where there once was a nose. I couldn't recommend anyone else, he was amazing, bearing in mind he didn't have much to work with. The entire bridge was shattered. When I tell people, they cannot believe I was once noseless. edited by RuthM on 21/10/2013 oh my goodness RuthM!! I can't imagine. So happy you were able to get it fixed.

Thanks ladies, shall scout to Lulu today. Gosh this has never happened :( Dont go feeling embarrassed. They say lice don't like dirty hair, as it's too slippery to hang on to. It's a normal part of childhood and schooling. It is yucky and hard to get rid of. But no indication of what type of parent you are :D

Lebanese style rice. 2 cups long or short grain rice. NOT PRE COOKED. 2/3 cup vermicelli, broken into pieces. 2 tblsp butter, 1 teaspoon oil, 1 heaped teaspoon salt. Brown the vermicelli in butter wthout burning. Add rice, stir, salt and 4 cups water. Put lid on and dinner 20 mins. delish. Sometimes I add finely diced onions & sautee them before I add vermicelli (i remove them, then add back after browning vermicelli.

Hi there. I don't know much about Al Ain, I live in Abu Dhabi. I think this web site is a great start. I would also post on the dubai forum as it gets alot more traffic. I'm sure it will be a million times nicer than Jeddah and Qatar! LOL about the tampons. You wont have that problem here. It's very modern compared to the other gulf countries. Good luck with your move. Stay active on this forum, you'll get a lot of help and support.

What I would like to know is how you find the energy to engage in S** when you have a newborn :D Seriously though, having them close together can be a good thing. Their bond will be stronger and you're kind of getting over the stages quickly as opposed to having them further apart. I have twins and this is something I appreciate about it amongst all the things I whinged about! Congrats.

I was walking past Faces in Ibn Batutta when I was set upon a sales lady from inside, wanting me to try this new Pore Minimiser. I was feeling tired and could not bother resisting, so I let her apply it to one of my upper cheeks. I looked in the mirror and was honestly knocked over by the instant change. Wow! I have never seen a fast and extreme result. I thought I'd pass the info on. It's by Benefit and it's called the Pore Fessional. You can apply it underneath and over your make up. I'm really amazed, and no, I do not work for either company :) I love Benefit products :-) It's the first time I've tried it and I also bought the lip and cheek stain :)

Thanks all, I use Pampers so have bought Huggies to see if it makes a difference. I will try changing her in her sleep but her room is so blimmin dark that it's impossible and I'm worried she might wake up :( Let's see. Pampers need to investigate this and make a tummy sleeping diaper with extra frontal absorbency! Huggies are extra absorbent, pampers leak alot. They might just help. Good luck I prefer huggies too, I think they're way more absorbant

So thanks to all the lovely ladies on EW, we have had great success in recent nights with our DD sleeping longer and through the night. She is just in PJs and sleeps way better than in a bag, and prefers tummy to back. However, she wakes up soaked through as the wee leaks out the top and onto her PJs, altho the back of the nappy is dry! I have tried 2 nappies (one on back to front) but it is still happening. She is happily asleep til 4 - 5am until she wakes up wet so for sure she would go right through. How can I keep her dry? Did anyone else have this prob?? Maybe tilt the matress/cot? so her upper body is elevated slightly. then any pee will run down into the diaper instead of up onto her tummy.

This could be physiological. I unfortunately was a sufferer until the age of 13. It was horrible for my self esteem and social psyche. My parents finally took me to a urologist (I suppose) who examined my bladder under a general anasthetic. Nothing abnormal except my bladder was very small. He stretched it using air, I think, and it never happened again. From 3+ nights a week to nothing.

I think generally the people in the shell industry use small grinders for this. I wonder if a small grinder they use for gel nails etc, would do the job. I wonder if you could find one at a craft store. I love shells, I used to collect them, had a massive collection or rarities until they accidentally got sent to the dump during a move (in australia) - I'd collected them from the age of 8 :( Sorry for the tangent :D

I'm wondering if she has a mild form of croup. Which is any virus affecting the windpipe and voice box. The cough can sound a bit like a bark. The most effective way of treating this is with steroid medication. My daughters had this recently and recovered quickly with some steroid meds. I do agree with the others, it sounds like athsma also. I'm not sure what the normal treatments are for athsma in one so young though. I wonder if there are paeds with specialisation in childhood athsma?
