Depends on the type of the Existing Licence. If it is an LLC licence, then there would be a local partner that would "officially" own 51% of the business and the other partner would have the 49%. If this is the case, then it is all a matter of changing the partnership agreement to state that half of the 49% "shares" that the second partner owns have been sold to you and a new Memorandum of Association will be made stating that you are now 24.5% share holder of the company. Whereas your visa is concerned, you can stay on your spouse visa, however for you to be able to work on the premises, the company will have to issue you a "work permit". This will mean that you are officially working in this company even though your visa is sponsored by your spouse. To get your work permit, your company will have to go through a similar process of applying for a visa. only this time it will be not for an "Employment Visa" but for a "Work Permit". hope this helps and best of luck for your venture

If you can make it to the Almas Tower( the tallest tower in the JLT) then there is a huge Men's Tailoring shop there on the ground floor. Can't remember the name, but was told that they do Women's office wear (suits, shirts etc)as well. Need an appointment for that as they bring in a lady to do all the measurements and fittings. Also the selection of fabrics for men is huge. Sorry, but can't just cant remember the name. Maybe you can contact the Almas tower and they can help you.

Have you thought of Furnished apartments at the V&A waterfront. My DH booked our holiday thru www.go2africa.com. The lady he spoke to was Angela Carlin and she made all the arrangements. Beautiful apartments right on the Marina.
