Until now people that got LLC bans could just go and get a job in the Freezones without any issues, this is no longer the case. People moving within the same freezone dont have problems since the Freezones dont generally ban people in the first place. The lifting of bans is possible but only for 6 month bans, this is in regard to job title, qualifications and paying to lift the ban. 1 year bans cant be lifted. The only way to overcome a one year ban is to set up a company and get a shareholders visa rather than an employee visa.

Have certainly noticed an increase in prices. Was looking to move recently and counldnt believe how much the prices had gone up in Emirates Living Area. Seems the divide between high and low standard properties is finally widening.

Maxfactor waterproof from Boots, the brush is more like rubber bristles than hairy bristles so it doesnt get all clumped up!

Sabina, you must have been very unlucky, I really recommend you give it a second chance..........when its good it really is very good. I have never been for lunch though, anyone able to shed light on the lunchtime menu? I too am looking for a Palm lunchtime venue, dont think I can face Atlantis.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: There is a new law in place (came into force about 2 months ago) whereby the Freezones now fall under the wing of MOL. Therefore if you have a ban from an LLC company it is now applicable in the Freezones also. There are ways to overcome a 6month ban though. Hence now when you apply for a visa in the Freezone you have to provide Labour Card Cancellation docs, the circular was issued in the Freezones in this regard at the end of May.

A friend stayed there and left after a month because the windows arent double glazed (or if they are they are poor quality) and therefore it is very noisy. Also the apartments are very small. Better to go across to JLT!

We have friends in Falcon City, we love going to visit because its so quiet and the villa is lovely. However, personally couldnt live there as there isnt even a small shop. If you run out of something you have to mess about going onto Emirates Road (basically a massive highway). We like having shops nearby and the odd restaurant for last minute changes of plan.

The automatic ban will be for 6 months, this is standard with breaking a limited contract. They will only give a 1 year ban if your ex employer filed a complaint against you, in which case you would have been called to be present. Maybe you are just inside the 6 months since your card was cancelled? If you go to the labour dept with your passport (ground floor) they will give you a copy of your labour cancellation and that will clarify. But get there for 7.30am before it gets busy. Good luck!

For my god children I ordered online a sterling silver money box, which I then had engraved locally. For the boy I got a pirate boat, for the girl a Noahs Ark. They looked fab and engraving gave the personal touch.

Contact Bupa directly, I have been with them years and they are excellent. Currently pay about 5500aed per year, but you can have a higher excess for a lower premium. There are so many levels of cover. But more to the point they are amazing, never question claims and have received first class in-patient and out patient service over the years.
