Spinneys Umm Sequiem has a whole shelving rack of Sally Hansen products, not sure whether the one you want is there, but maybe worth a try :)

I know 2 men who have had vasectomies, both were done at Medcare Hospital about 2-3 years ago. So unless the rules have changed since then, they are not illegal.

To clarify why I do not recommend you to go... I had them done, was totally happy with them. Since the hair that usually falls out, stays hanging in the way they put it in, you can see a lot of fallen out hairs after a few weeks. This is totally normal. However, it did freak me out, since I have fine hair and the last thing I want to do is make my hair thinner. So I decided to take them out. But unfortunetaly I just left for holiday to home country that night, so coudn't take them out. When I was home, went to a hairdresser that also does greath lenght extensions, to ask to take them out. She says, 'no you don't need to take them out, they won't ruin your hair'. But I HAD to have them out. While she was taking them out she says... 'ok THIS WILL ruin your hair'. They were put in totally wrong. In one 'glue' some of my natural hairs were free for one cm, others were still close to my scalp, which means the loose ones will pull out the tight ones. On top of that they were put in in a much too random way instead of the structure they should be in to make it look natural. My hairdresser was shocked by both the way it was put in and the price. So... yes I believed it was fine as well... but am very happy I had some really professional advise and had them out as soon as possible. If I ever do it again, only to a place I only hear good things about. And I agree with the clip in ones. Put them in when you need them, when you don't, you put them out and done. No trouble, no extra costs, no extra work.. Good luck! Does anybody know where I can buy good clip in ones in Dubai? Thanks! edited by Eva B. on 05/08/2011 I bought my clip in hair extensions from a stall in Dubai Mall. It is past the Ice Rink near Gallieries Lafayette. They have real and synthetic hair. I bought the real ones. They come in a box of 7 and they will show you how to clip them in. I think the cost was dhs1200. Love them to bits and wish I had bought them years ago.

Extensions are hardwork to maintain and I had mine in for nearly 5 months. I was actually relieved to get them taken out. I now use clip in extensions, so have lovely long hair when it is required and at a fraction of the cost.

I had a girl called Roxy and thought she was lovely. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Maybe I just had a good day. I actually don't remember having any problems with any of the staff edited by intrigue on 04/08/2011

I had them done last year at Gold Salon and was very pleased with them. Each extension was dhs20. I had 200 extensions. Certainly not a cheap option but fantastic while they lasted

Thanks for the suggestions - are these docs easy to get appointments with? You can normally get an appointment with Dr Jwan within a couple of days

I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through. Have you seen an ENT specialist, maybe there is a problem within her mouth that is causing her problems. Sorry I really don't know what to say, but you are doing everything that a mother should be doing. I hope this gets sorted. Good luck, thinking of you

Consultation with Dr Edmundo on 9th June. Staff at hospital phoned my DH to discuss the ICL and were very pleasant and helpful - fingers crossed he can get it done during summer holidays. Thanks for your help. The aftercare is superb as well. Let me know how he gets on. Good luck

I have now changed DH's appointment to the Moorfields - much cheaper. The advice we were given was that he would need reading glasses when the time comes (same as with lasic). The reason he couldn;t have laser treatment was it would create the halo effect due to the high prescription - so ICL won't have that problem. I had lasix done 5 years ago and I love not having to put glasses on/ lenses in as soon as I wake - DH has been jealous of this so I certainly hope he can enjoy the same effect. Good Luck. I am sure you will like Moorfields, I certainly would use them again and I take my children for regular check ups there. When is DH appointment

oh you ladies are getting me so excited about this. I so want to get a consultation. Won't be able to do it yet but oh to no have coke bottle glasses anymore or the high level contacts. Do you have to wear glasses for driving or reading?? What about the side effect of halos like lasik?? I don't have to wear any form of glasses now. I only have one lens inserted in my right eye. I only have about 10% vision in my left eye so nothing can be done about that. When you have the lens inserted your brain has to retrain to look at things differently. I think for the first week straight lines ie counter tops and stairs were slightly curved and judging distances was quite difficult (but that could have been because of my left eye sight), but gradually it all comes back to normal. The funniest thing was for about a month I would wake up and reach for my glasses, I actually felt quite naked without them for a while. Like I said THE BEST THING EVER x

very interesting, intrigue, I have now emailed Moorfields for a quote. My lens implant was done with British Lasik Centre, Beach Road. They brought in a surgeon from the UK to have a look at my eyes (I have very bad eyes). After lots of discussions we agreed on the implant. I think this procedure was very new 7 years ago. The freedom and confidence this has given me is amazing.

I had a lens inserted into my eye about 7 years ago, as I was fed up with thick glasses and for the same reasons couldn't have lasik. The surgeon I went to has since left Dubai, but this was the best thing that I have ever done. I recently went to Moorfields Eye Hospital for another surgery to correct a lazy eye and they were amazing. Would recommend Moorfields every time. Good luck If I remember correctly the cost back then was about dhs16,000 edited by intrigue on 28/05/2011

I am not indian but would just like to say that my children have all nationalities as their friends. Their bestfriends group consists of australians, indians, english and lebanese. I actually don't think racism comes from the children themselves but unfortunately from what they hear from their parents. Luckily these parents are few and far between.

when we went round to my (very traditional) grandparent's house for Tea, Grandma would wheel out a trolley with a selection of sandwiches, cut into triangles with the crusts chopped off - there's be cucumber, some kind of pate... hmm... maybe that was it. Then she'd have a selection of cakes on a stand - French Fancies, Battenberg, a fruit cake and maybe a lemon one, but the piece-de-resistance was the sherry trifle. You HAVE to have a trifle. ... and tea would be served in a pot, of course. ... with pastry forks and tea spoons, although those who wanted coffee would have coffee spoons, because they are actually slightly different. oh, and cucumber sandwiches are really nice... if you want to pander to more modern tastes, instead of buttering them, spead a bit of soft cheese on the bread... but the main thing is the cucumber, not the cheese. Oh, and Grandma used to decorate the sandwich platter with cucumber twists... bless her. Loved her Teas! edited by Hello.Again.Kitty on 26/04/2011 Oh forgot about French Fancies and trifle :)

So a few of us are gathering at my home to watch the Royal Wedding. How do i host an English tea party? Of course we will hv some tea and some pastries....and perhaps some wedding souvenirs.. What are typically English pastries and where can i get them? I hv never done this before so pl advise. Thanks much. Go to Park N Shop, their bakery is very good. You can get scones, muffins, crumpets and cakes like iced fingers. You just have to have cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off. Last but not least PIMMS with lots of ice. Have fun :)

The golden rule to any of these forums is to take it all with a grain of salt, from both perspectives. If you need advice, post your question, see what responses you get and take it from there. If you see a question posted which you think you can be helpful in answering, add your two cents worth and leave it at that. Ignore the trolls and don't feed them. I am relatively new to this, so how do you know who the trolls are?

500 or better, 1000. All others are dodgy interlopers who are not to be trusted. That's why I posted answers to all sorts of random threads though I had no idea what I was talking about -- to raise my numbers to a trust-worthy amount! So how does that make you trustworthy. Some people like me ask for real/true advice. So who is to be trusted now.

It's in most chemists. DD had one that refused to go. Took her to dermitologist at motor city who froze it once and gave us prescription for diff topical lotion and within 2 weeks it was gone. It was pretty big and i had been trying for nearly a year to get rid of the darn thing! Didn't find the scholl stuff any good at getting rid of it but if she was going swimming we put it on. Thanks for that. We are going back to chiropodist tomorrow pm, will talk to him about this lotion. :)

I've searched all over Dubai looking for these with no luck. Thankfully DD's completely clear now, Scholl Varuca paint on medicine is supposed to be waterproof and seals in the varuca so as not to spread to others. Couldn't clear my DS veruccas at home with the shop bought remedies so we now go to a chiropodist but not all of them are going, this has been weeks now. Plasters don't seem to stay on his feet either. Where did you buy the Scholl paint?
