Hi Caric? I'm just seeing this now..did you have any luck? Where are you guys located? I've been attending a place called Future Health Clinic in Al Waab for our initial apts and they are very good there..no probs at all for my hubby to come along. We are newbys too so you're not alone?

Hi girls 3! I got my hair done recently with a guy who was good but he's away for a few weeks at the moment. I have heard though from a few people that RJ at the salon in the Raddisson Blu is very good..and quite a few people I know use him! Def worth a shot?. Hope this helps! Jaki

Hi Nelly2478! Congrats!! How are you going with getting the info you're after? I arrived 8 weeks ago and just found out I'm in the same boat too!? Lots to think about. Have you heard of Doha Mums Group. They look like a wonderful resource and am planning to go along to a group event next week. We are in looking into public v's private and are getting lots of pros and cons for both but unsure still of costs too. Will Hopefully know more in the next few days?.

Hi Myles1? I have a guy who comes to my house once a week to do our bathrooms floors. Once he knows exactly what he has to do he's great. He only charges 30riyal per hour and it's a great help. Can send you his number if you wish. Ps I tried to send you a msg and called one day to see if you wanted to grab a coffee..just in case you didn't get them!? Hi guys! We have decided last minute to go to a ball next week and as we have only recently arrived in Doha I def don't have a dress for it! Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy/rent (preferably) evening/black tie attire? Would be grateful for any insights thanks a million. Jaki

Great you found a place! I know it's tough living out of a suitcase, I only unpacked mine today! You won't know yourself! Y Village is near Villagio right? We are at Champs Elysee in Al Waab which is only a few mins from Villagio too! Will send you my number too! Let's defo do coffee when you're settled in!! Enjoy the move?

Oi Oi Oi!!!:biggrin: Sounds great Debs! Well It's move in day today…I cannot flipping wait and you'll be the same when you get your new place too. We ended up getting our house through a real estate agent and I don't regret it even those it did cost us a bit. She made it easy for us in the end plus she's Scottish which was great also to have someone on the same page. If you would like her details or if I can help at all pls let me know!:) Ps: Check out the rugby club..lots of expats and almost feels like home. We just joined this week. Its www.dohafrc.com if you wanna have a look! They have a membership deal at the mo too.

Hi myles1! How is everything going?! I just joined the forum and just read a couple of your posts. Have you and your hubby found a place? We have just moved here this past month from Australia (Im Irish and my hubby is Aussie and we've been living there for the last 6yrs) and are moving into our new home in Al Waab this week. We're not dockers fans sorry lol..with Dom being from Townsville he is Cowboys crazy!:). Let me know how you're going and if you want to have a coffee someday..great to find people in the same boat! Hi Astrid616!:) I have just moved to Doha from Australia and will be living in the Al Waab area from this week. I'm a Personal Trainer and will be looking for a base over the next couple of weeks to run some classes. Once Im set up I'll send you a msg just in case you haven't found one by then.
