My daughter just started with her skin issues. I did some research and found that oil cleansing is the best .he basic idea of oil cleansing is to use natural oils in specific combination to cleanse the skin and naturally balance the skin’s natural oils. Mix 1/3 portion castor oil 1/2 almond or olive oil. Slather it on. Place a clean washcloth under very hot tap water (or shower water) until it is completely soaked and quickly wring it out. Open it and place over your face. This will create steam against the skin to remove the oils and any impurities in the skin. Leave the wash cloth on for about a minute, or until it cools. Repeat if needed with the other side of the washcloth and then use the corners of the washcloth to gently remove any remaining oil. There will still be a thin layer of oil on the skin and this is beneficial. Workeds great for my girl. www.theoilcleansingmethod.com

Just a couple thoughts from a Muslim wife: 1. Just because you have not found signs of a wife in his home in Dubai does not mean there isn't another home/homes here in the UAE or other countries with a wife/wives and children. This is his right. I cannot see the age of this man - but, I would imagine most Muslim men over the age of 25 (if not younger) would already have a wife, which was arranged for him by his family. This is not necessarily a negative for you - something you have to come to terms with. He must, however, treat each wife in a similar way, giving equal time, money, etc to each without favouritism - a little difficult sometimes I would imagine. 2. Muslim men are permitted 4 wives legally and are not under any legal obligation to inform the wives of each others existence (to my knowledge). In fact, some men have wives and children even their families have no knowledge about (e.g. maids or "girlfriends" that get pregnant). 3. All your children will belong to their father and his family - never to you - you would never get custody should your marriage end in a separation or divorce. Accept that you will never have access to their personal documents - birth certificates, passports etc. And, quietly likely, will never be able to travel with them out of the country alone to visit your home country and family. You will always need his permission to take his children out of the country if you are traveling alone. 4. Just because he is not a "practicing" Muslim now does not mean he will not in the future. Many Muslim men go through different stages (as do most men), and adherence to their religious practices is a common one. Be prepared for him to revert to a devout Muslim man at some stage, especially when children start arriving. 5. It will be your duty as a mother to ensure your children are raised as Muslims. Think very long and carefully about this huge, life-changing step you are considering. Life as a Muslim woman/wife can be wonderful - secure, respectful, loving, happy, strong family environment, but you need to be prepared for this if life within an extended family is a new concept for you. I am fortunate that I have a very happy marriage and I live in a huge extended family situation. There are many unhappy marriages, however - in all religions, cultures etc. and when the marriage is a mixed one - culturally or religiously, there are even more pressures than the usual ones. You have to be prepared for this. All marriages take hard work to be successful. I think the analogy that "Marriage is like a Box" - both partners have to keep putting into the box to keep taking out. Do your homework well before making your final commitment as marriage is supposed to be "forever". Mrs B, these are some valid thoughts. Just to add to it: the Qur'an permits but does not command a man to have four wives. Furthermore, the Qur'an stipulates that a man is responsible for the maintenance of his wife or wives. If a man has more than one wife, he has to provide separate living accommodation for each of his wives. Multiple marriages are a heavy responsibility on the male. It is not a pleasure trip as some people may assume. Some even imagine all kinds of sexual exploits involving a man and his wives altogether. However, such activity is not permissible in Islam. A man must divide his time equally among his wives. He may, for example, spend one night with each wife on a rotating schedule. If a man cannot maintain justice in the treatment of his wives, the Qur'an stipulates that he is to have no more than one wife. Also according to my info he needs permission from his wifes to marry another and there has to be a valid reason e.g his current wife cannot conceive, is unable to "be" with him, to give shelter of one's name, to prevent adultery to name a few.....not just because. ...ofcause some people take advantage of this and do as they please. Anyway, as a product of a mixed marriage I do have to say he needs to be honest with his family and with the OP. My father was from a feudal family but he respected his family and my mother enough to make sure everyone was comfortable. My grandfather was an enlightened man and so sent a return ticket fro My Mum to come out by ship ( in the 50's) to see if she could deal with thee diffrent culture and religion. at the same time he told my father that if wanted to go through with it he was to respect her religion and not force her into anything. Also he forbade my father to ever marry again (fuedals love o marry) We as children were educated in both takes ...as people of the book. When we were old enough we were given the choice. Needless to say we all chose Islam but we understand and respect Christianity. H nneds to give credit to his family. His father may not be as millitant as he may seem to him. the OP's BF needs to man up

If anyone is willing to help then I would suggest you give food to the mosques. A lot of companies here expect their employees to start working again immediately after Iftar not giving them much time to sort themselves out. However they don't provide their employees with Iftar as most of us think. Last year the homes around one of our mosques asked for donations as they were unable to cater to all the laborers that came for a meal. I am sure you have a mosque around your corner. What can be easier than stopping there to give some food.

Though I am not indian I am a convert to Ayurveda. It uses natural ingredients and they really work. I have never taken care of my skin, lived in hot\sunny countries and never used sun screen.... I had a LOT of sun\age spots and wrinkles because of it. a freind of mine after seeing me after many years was shocked how bad my skin had become. At that time I was at an Ayurveda Dr. for my hair fall and so I asked what I should do. He gave me a cream that I should use at night. It just has oils of safron, camphor, and one more thing (sorry cant remember) ....anyway, its been two weeks and I have to say I am amazed. My age spots are down by 60%, pores are much smaller and skin is glowing..... I love the stuff.....and it only costs 23 AED. Hi Do u know where can i buy it ..does it help in build the skin? I bought mine from the Ayurvedic Dr. not sure where else one can buy it. its just a tiny tube. I'll post the name once I get home

Wow, thanks for the replies... I am eligible for the leave, but if there is rule of not taking leave during the notice period, then I can't as they would fight for it for sure... Oh and if job offer comes that cant be postponed until resigning after my hols... edited by Unicorn36 on 27/05/2014 It depends on your company policy. Every company I have worked for here has always prorated my leave and asked me to take it. Companies generally rahter you took time off instead of paid for it. Its a cost thing.

Your leave would be pro-rated so it would depend on how much leave you get in a year and if you still have some available. But they have to give you the balance leave due to you even if you have resigned. However, tickets etc would be another story if you have not completed your year. edited by janatks on 27/05/2014

This definately reeks of a the husband feeling neglected. With two little ones and no help ofcourse you cant be the tantelizing siren he married. But you will have to try to be. I had the same problem when my babies came along. The first was not a problem because of the novelty but with the second he really got pouty. 1) I HAD to make time for him, make him feel special, pamper him, romance him etc 2) Gave him responsibilities of taking care of the child so HE could bond with her. This had to be done very single day till we came to a point that he would relunctantly give her up to be fed etc. He realised how much work had to be put in to take care of the girls and till this day he helps. Dont wait to set a routine after a month. Start now, my daughters were all sleeping through the night (9-5) from three weeks. That gave us all a chance to get some needed sleep and us time... everyone was happier for it. After 9 we would put on some music, bring out something to drink, dim the lights etc etc. Unfortunately, most men are still boys and the women have to take control. .......................Dont know if this helps but thats my two bits

It all depends actually upon your "relationship" with your relatives. e.g. My Father was Pakistani and my Mum's family are Swiss/German/Austrian. My Mum's brother still does not want to see us because he believes the media about us being @#$% Paki's, while my Aunt's husband loved him and when he got sick from cancer he refused to let my father check into a hotel when we went to Switzerland for his treatment. We on our part did not let any of them feel he was a burden. There was always someone of us there to take care of him and do all the housework and cook etc etc(my Aunt loved it he he he).

And why are all the jobs advertised aimed at those who have no qualifications? Admin assistant, marketing assistant, communications assistant ... ugh. Because the positions are already taken by the few that are lucky enough to be qualified....ugh.

With my first child I took a year off. It was a leave without pay but that was the best I could get in Dubai. Anyway, when I went back I negotiated to work half day for about six months. During this time I had clocked up some extra hours due to over time so that gave me another 4 months of half day. (LUV my boss!) ..... anyway, by then she was chomping at the bit to go to play school so I would drop her to school in the morning, pick her up during my late lunch break and by the time we got home she was asleep. She woke up by 4:00 and I was back home by 5:30 (again I negotiated to work flexi hours so had an early start). Its a bit hectic but doable if your boss is understanding and you are a good negotiator. Since I had my second and third child I only worked half day. Now that they are 10,7 and 5 I work at 80% so I am home by 3:30 a little after they get home. Dont worry about leaving your baby, it makes them a lot more independent, sociable and they appreciate you a lot more.

When we moved into our place three years ago we also had a problem. We got the exterminators to come and they placed tiny dabs of some wierd gel all over the kitchen and bathrooms. Really small that you could hardly see them if you were not looking. I thought we had been duped but after a few days the little pests just vanished and has been like that since (though the guarantee was for 6 months)

Depending on your budget, have a look at Buheirah Corniche, Qanat al Qasba area and Al Tawoon Rd/Al Mamzar Sharjah. Thanks for your reply. I was wondering if it's safe to live in Alnahda as it's near Dubai border Are there buildings with security ? I would not suggest Al Nahda as there is a rough crowd there. I would suggest Al Tawuun which is on the otherside of Ittihad. It is also easier to get to AND you can just slip onto Ittehad when going to work in the morning. What job are you looking for? We are looking for a Team Assistant but its based in Abu Dhabi. Good pay and the best private bank in the world.

Due to data protection laws it is illegal for the airline to give out any information on passengers. If the agent gave you information he could lose his job and the person whose name was given out could sue the airline. This in turn would unload a whole new set of troubles on you.

[ The crew member did ask people at bassinet seats if they would mind moving, and only one couple obliged - but on the condition it would be for only half the flight (it was a 14 hour flight). These people didn't have a child. Neither did the people at 3 other bassinets. edited by millymoo on 10/05/2014 Has it ever occurred to you that THESE PEOPLE might have requested the seats because those seats are in fact extra legroom seats as well? Why should THESE PEOPLE have to move to the "fold up" seats in the middle? And you are talking of arrogance? Who are you to decide that you have more rights to the extra legroom seats than others? I thought that passengers with infants had priority for the bassinet seats... Yes they do however, passengers have to book the seats at the time of reservation otherwise they will be allocated to passengers who might not have an infant.....or at least inform the checkin staff to allocate the seats for them. Usually these seats are blocked until checkin if not booked in advance.

Did not get the job (they were looking forsomeone younger) but at least I got a reply. Also my colleagues who are in WM say a good way to get noticed is to write to all possible contacts and tell them about yourself. Has to be an eye catcher to make them go through your cv. Try the Swiss Business Council they have all the swiss banks listed with the emails of the ED's. Try the other biz councils too I am sure he may find some thing....good luck ! Also try and google the social networking site for bankers, I cant remember the name but they have one.

I like structure too! I am all or nothing! lol Ok Psyllium husk powder is a form of insoluble fiber (do I divulge??) & can be purchased most economically at Dr. Nutrition center in Dubai Mall. 8 oz jar for 55 dhs. 150+ elsewhere! It is tasteless and mixes well into rolled oats or oat bran. It will keep your digestion tract clean and free to absorb nutrients and will not upset or bloat if you only use a teaspoon. ;) BSN's syntha-6 is more a meal replacement than a straight whey. It has some carbs and is pretty filling. It tastes amazing and comes in many flavors! Love cookies and cream :) this shake gives me my sweet fix! You can buy it at Dr. Nutrition also, or practically anywhere. Big red jug, you can't miss it. Any lean fish would do. Cream dory is just my favorite and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I also like tilapia, shark steaks, tuna steaks. Salmon is a little fattier, but not bad to do once in a while. You can also use another lean meat for lunch like turkey, or even lean ground beef. I am just avoiding red meat right now. (Had enough over the hols to turn me into a cow). I only cheat one night per week on this plan, and it is one meal--not one day. If alcohol is in this cheat night, I control my food intake. If it is not, I will eat more sodium and carb rich foods. :) Psyllium husk powder can also be found in Indian/Pakistani store all over the country. Its called Husk of Ispaghol and costs around 8-10 AED for about 250g

My Mum uses the onion trick. Slice an onion's tip and head off and leave in a bowl. Would suggest to place a few around the house. Apparently it absorbs the germs. She swears by it. Which reminds me I have to place a few around the house. Despite having flu shots I have a raging cold. I blame it on the A/C but then that is just me :)
