I was able to secure internships in the UAE from the US for two summers in a row during my doctoral studies. I also know other American students in Masters programs who worked here for their school summers. However, these were highly specialized positions. I'm not sure if a visitor who is studying for her bachelors would have much luck, but it wouldn't hurt to try contacting some of the multinational companies who have more established summer internship programs worldwide. Word of mouth is also key. My friends and I found our positions through people we knew in high positions at our respective companies. I don't know of any interns who would be sponsored by a company for a visa, that's a lot of work and money for the company for an interim employee. Good luck to your niece! Mind if I ask, was it a paid internship? And did your respective companies provide the visa arrangements for you and your friends? Sarah, she is 21.

Kids who are studying here find it almost impossible to get internships so a visitor to the city has no chance, unless you or your husband can offer her something. No companies offering interships for a few weeks will sponsor - they would be expected to be on the family visa or do visa runs. Are you referring to paid internships? She just wants to hopefully find an unpaid internship just for the experience (CV boost) when she graduates in a few years. Sounds like its gonna be hard for her to find something if Emiratis are what companies tend to go for. Thanks for the answers.

For the age groups you mentioned I recently found this site: [url=www.wamli.com'>Wamli[/url'> has a lot of quirky items, a while back they had some nice local type of geeky items! Good luck!

I recently bought some canvases for my apartment from [url=https://www.customyze.co'>Customyze[/url'> and I must say their quality is truly outstanding, I had used the mall kiosk in Dubai Mall last year for my friend's birthday before and the quality difference is quite noticeable. Also very convenient to order online and have it delivered to me. edited by jane_liams on 22/04/2013

I enjoyed the latest post, totally agree. About the blog, just one design note comes to mind, maybe the teal background on black text is not very comfortable for some readers (like me).
