Hi I am doing a course with UK Distance Learning which we bought in the UK. It provides the theory and 1 assignment involves case studies on practical work. There are 6 assignments altogether and you have a year to complete with tutor support 7 days a week. If you want any more info, let me know!

UPDATE....Just had an update from the Shoreline Home Owners Association....RERA have suspended it until the 15th December, all residents to use EXISTING access cards!!!!! x

Oooo that will be the cold water and extra helpful security when there is a leak that fills a bucket within 3 minutes at 3am and they tell you they will call maintenance in the morning!!!! Or bins on the beach that over flow after a busy day!!!! Maybe thats why OUR Landlord has told us to sit tight, they probably haven't paid either!!!!

This will make you laugh..... Landlords assistant sent below email to all his tenants on Shoreline (12) inc my email address, however cc'd DH.....Now DH is recieving all responses from tenants emails as they have cut all recipients but believe he is from the company!!!!! Lets just say, there are several laws being recited to the assistant!!! Waiting for the next email to come through!!!! Feel like an under cover spy!!!!

We have of course contacted our Landlord who continues to tell us 'we have access cards, so use them'!!!! I think a lot of security will be calling in sick this weekend!!!!

Email recieved today via our Landlord.... Dear Resident, Further to our previous emails and status of the beach access issue, our Senior Board representatives and Legal Team have provided the dubai land department (RERA) all the details and documentation to support our case. We realise that the proposed deadline for new access card applications is today (28th November) however RERA, who are taking this case seriously, have requested more time to review the details and documentation and have informed both sides of this and that the matter is in Rera’s hands. In the meantime, some Residents/Tenants have applied for the new cards and have found they are required have their contracts attested at the Dubai Land Department at a cost of 160 AED we suggest if you wish to apply for the cards you contact your Landlord and /or Agent in the first instance. We will keep you all informed with any changes and updates as soon as we have them. Regards Shoreline Interim Owners Association.

DH has just been over to use the gym. Huge crowd collecting their cards......Dh spoke to staff who said that access may initially be DH100 per day but likely to rise to 300/500 AED per day but you MIGHT get the weekend for that!!!! Is everyone getting cards or doing as the Home Owner Association say and sit tight? As you say Kathyt, we are already paying a premium to live here!!!

Our Landlord has told us once again to sit tight and if we use the facilities after 1.12.11 to take our access card with tenancy agreement and tell them the issue is ongoing and unresolved.... Something tells me there may be a brawl at the doors at the weekend or a very empty beach!!! Glad we are off to the rugby!!!!

I have emailed Nakheel this morning and waiting for response. Spoken to Landlord who says that only authorised residents and owners will be able to get the card. That is residents on the tenancy agreement ONLY!!!! All other guests will have to pay! I think this may be carnage!!! My Husband is the only one on the tenancy as the University where he works wrote the cheque!!!! Will update when i hear back from Nakheel :)
