Hi - I am looking for a company that will dye our chair covers. We had a mini flood over summer and they have been left with tide mark so rather than get rid of them we were hoping to get them dyed...thanks in advance :)

Thank you!!! Some great ideas, going to add Gone Girl and Silver Linings Playboook to the list sounds like her kinda thing, going to get the book. I'm ordering through Amazon as would cost a fortune to buy and send from here. Going to order some of this stuff for me also when I am back in the UK. :)

Ha ha interesting suggestion, but for that to work I would need to get the rest of the world to take of their specs too!! I think you have a point about kids - I have aged about 10 years in the past 5!! The little critters are worth it though :)

Thanks for the advice - I think you are right that I need a bit of pampering. I spent today clearing out my clothes and the next step is a bit of retail therapy. I have friends my age that look amazing but I think that is possibly down to good genetics rather than facials!

We have a fantastic Sri Lankan maid who we pay 2,000 a month plus 500 for food. We also give her a months salary once a year as a bonus. Most my friends pay about the same - the lowest being 1500. We found her through my friends maid. The most important thing is to get references and speak to them rather than trusting a written reference. Good luck :)

There is a facebook group called Arabian Ranches mums that you might be interested in. They organise playdates and there is loads of other useful info on there as well :)

I found the weather in Koh Samui in July absolute bliss, Bangkok was humid, but once we got onto the Island it was great, and I was preggers at the time so would have noticed if it was sticky. There can be rain storms but these are very heavy that last for a short time - we only got one and we were there ten days.

We went to Koh Samui in Thailand last year in July with our little girl who was then 16 months. Absolutely fantastic, weather was high 20's and we just chilled out by the pool or on the beach. The time difference is 2 hours ahead which meant our wee one stayed up till 10pm every evening and slept in till 9 :). Stayed in a chilled out resort and we all went out to eat in the village every evening - she loved it and the Thai people are so lovely to kids. edited by JinD on 19/02/2013

Just had baby no. 2 with Dr. Elsa and she was amazing!! Like the other lady i was so close to getting a c-section (breech baby) but Dr. Elsa got my wee bundle out no problem at all. It was great knowing that during the labour Dr. Elsa was just a couple of floors away, so when we needed her, she was there in minutes. I had my scans with Dr. George who was just lovely and i've heard great things about him also. Good luck!

Is this still on the go? I'm fairly new to the ranches and would love to get involved if there are still spaces :)
