Yes, I live nearby and walk past that fountain a lot. There is always someone being told off for sitting on the wall there! And come to think of it, there's no benches to wait outside Carrefour or near ski Dubai. They must want you to use the coffee shops for a rest. Dubai mall have some couches around, MOE should do the same.

We are very happy with horizon international school, so far early primary and foundation stages have been excellent.

Magic planet is at Mall of the Emirates but some of it is closed for renos. There is a library upstairs called the old library that has a kids section ( but also a 250aed yearly membership fee). They do storytime on Sunday's at 11am. I would also get a taxi to marina mall ( favorite things and n joi has mini golf) , Al barsha mall (cheeky monkeys, also one at j3 mall, on Al wall rd, modhesh world is on at Dubai world trade centre ( metro ride away) or petit palais is nice at Dubai mall. A taxi to the monorail at the base of the Palm can take you to the lost chambers aquarium at Atlantis. Ibn battuta mall is also on the metro line and has a fun city and some interesting things to see inside.

I take one full bottle in a cooler bag with an flexible ice brick to keep it cool and 2 empty bottles. The empty ones get filled one the plane if travelling Emirates or a full service airline. If you a flying a cheap airline they sometimes only have the little powdered milks for coffee so maybe best to fill the second bottle from a coffee shop at the airport. And again when we land I fill the third bottle from a coffee shop before we drive off.

No booster seats are legal in Aus, it needs to be a full car seat for kids under 18kgs, I think. My 7 year old still sits in a large toddler seat with a 5 point harness. Check RAC or safe and sound websites for accurate info. If you are hiring a car, you can hire the appropriate seat at the same time.
