You actually have 10 days extra on your visa after the expiry date before you will get a fine - so 40 days in total, so the actual expiry will be the 25th of Jan. Why not wait until nearer the time to see if the visa comes through to save yourself the extra expense and hassle. I heard this before but didnt know how true it was!! Perfect thanks!!

Emovers can do that for you. As others have said, can you not ask your current LL if you can stay an extra few days? Obviously you'll pay him for this. Are they expensive? And will they take the furniture apart put it back together.? No the LL wont let us unfortunately would save alot of hassle

Hi - I know what it's like having little ones and trying to find other moms to connect with, so here's some suggestions: You can search Moms and Tots Dubai - they meet at various locations including Marina Mall. It's a great program, you pay per term. Otherwise there is a free group on Wednesday mornings at Yassat Gloria 9:45-11:30 - it's run by our church but anyone is welcome and there's a wide range of lovely moms with their tots. Search Fellowship of the Emirates for details. Also there's a group on Mon and Tues mornings at the Jebel Ali church complex, I think aed20 per session which includes snacks and arts and crafts. HTH Cheers ill look them up

I am going through the exact same suituation at the moment with my newly hired maid and I am getting so frustrated with her but I was advised to give her a monthly allowance for her food and allowance for metro yet she is constantly asking for more money which is make me wonder is she taking advantage ive had many arguments with her over it but nothing is absorbing... Still she eats my food and I dont know what she does with her money but I feel like her mother!!
