Made them tonight and they were awesome! Added a big, no huge, tablespoon of Nutella as well. They don't have the big base like with copha but they were very yummy. I actually preferred them to the copha version as they weren't really greasy. Best bit was licking the spoon and bowl and not confessing to DH! I might have to do a grown up version with some baileys or Tia Maria in them.

Chuck-Em - I copied this from a website and I never keep broken or chipped glasses or plates, its a good excuse for new ones: Broken areas of eating dishes or even cracks can harbor large amounts of bacteria which are not killed by anti-bacterial soaps used during the dishwashing process. The seal on the eating dishes which contributes to the sanitation of the dishware is broken when the cracks or chips occur, allowing bacteria to take root in the dish itself. Bacteria can lead to individual illness or numerous people getting sick at once, which is a real problem for restaurant establishments and can cause them to receive citations for health code violations. I remember when I had my first waxing, I was getting teased at school for my mo and mono brow, and my mum went in before me to show that it wasnt painful. When she started screaming I was out that door so fast and hid. I was embarassed that my mum knew such foul language as well!!!!

KC dont forget that the exchange rate between Dubai and Oz is dreadful at the moment and why the AUD is so high is beyond me. Our friend's [b'>[u'>total package [/u'>[/b'>is above the AED25K mark plus bonuses, he has schooling and medical allowance on top of this. Amy is right, no Medicare at all and you MUST have insurance particularly if you have kids. Would the company give you the opportunity to come over and see the place before you decide.

KC, has your husband actually had a written offer with a break down of the salary package. This should show you the base salary and the allowances, such as your housing allowance, insurance, school and annual return tickets home. We had a friend move from Oz to here for a boat building job and he hated it and another friend has been in that industry for over 5 years and his salary is more than what your husband is being quoted, both are shipwrights.

[i'>[b'>Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. [/b'> When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...[/i'> makes me cry every time but I was thinking of you Jetset. <em>edited by littleone on 10/02/2013</em>

We had a friend ship their labrador back to Oz last year I dont think she got much change from AED18K, thats including all the vaccinations and including quarantine back in Oz. Its much cheaper bringing them over from Oz to Dubai primarily its just the airfare. When we eventually go home I have allowed AED20k for my little boy as I want it to be as stress free as possible and I couldnt be bothered doing it myself. I will use snoopy pets as they did a relocation for friends 2 pups from Libya to Dubai and they came through as happy as larry.

We never actually made a decision not to have children until we reached our 40's. I had a miscarriage in my 30's and DH and I were quite excited to be starting a family and when it didnt happen we didnt consciously decide not to have kids. Now in my 40's I can say that I am selfish and dont want children, do I regret it. I really dont know but I do know that I didnt want to persue the IVF side and/or adoption, the reasons were my own and very personal. DH said he would support me either way, the sad part of our decision is that there is no one to carry on his surname, his brother never had children either. His parents never became grandparents but thankfully they are very close with my niece and nephew. I have the most amazing nieces and a nephew and I have always been a big part of their lives, despite living thousands of miles away. I'm actually going home to see them in a month and we are all so excited, I get emails every week and skype when we can. I am pulling them out of school to spend some quality time with them and I cant wait. Very very excited!!!!

I remember my first trip home to Oz and I went to the petrol station and sat in my car for ages waiting for the attendant to come, he didnt arrive! Finally realising I need to do this myself got out filled up, paid and then jumped into the car to leave - I got in the passengers seat (left hand drive in oz). The family in the car behind me were in hysterics when I got out and ran around the other side to drivers. not left hand drive, thats here, its right hand drive....see why I'm so confused! <em>edited by littleone on 23/01/2013</em>

[url=http://www.palmutilities.com/'>link[/url'> Everything is on the link above. Its very easy to set up, you go to their office complete the paperwork, pay the security deposit. You will need the usual documents for setting anything up here. The annual charge which I am assuming is the Capacity Charge is around AED 210 per month and about the same for consumption, depending on the time of year. oh and thats for a 2 bed edited by littleone on 23/01/2013 <em>edited by littleone on 23/01/2013</em>

DH and I are divided over this point in the Maldives. DH would prefer half board where breakfast is included as he thinks you tend to over eat with the AI (all inclusive) and if you have a big breakfast you dont need lunch, which is true but I think AI is good value because alcohol is included and i can never get enough cosmo's when Im on holiday! We contacted our resort before we decided on AI or HB to get a menu with pricings which they supplied and made a decision based on the prices.

We got a private driver for the day that was arranged by the hotel and we were just going to the bone church but then he took us to St Barbara's as he said it was good. The town was so quaint it was great. There is no way I am that adventurous to do a train ride! I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to travel! DH isnt usually impressed by the cost but its just less hassle. The manager at the Jalta is British (not sure if he's still there) and he organised a lot for us. We had a beautiful christmas dinner at a traditional restaurant called the Blue Duck, well thats the translation. It was so bohemian it was great and just a short stroll to the Old Town Square. Officechick - if you are into crystal there is a really cool gallery to the left side of Tyne Church as you face it (just down the alley) it has modern designs and is very cool, has some large and small stuff we bought a great little bowl as a nice reminder of Prague.

If it doesnt ring a bell then err on the side of caution, particularly if they are asking for Amex card details. I did a google search and they "appear" to be money exchange and state that their website was fraudulently cloned. Then again anyone can say anything on the internet. Personally if i have a feeling that its suspect I delete it/ignore it, I figure if its urgent then the company would contact me by phone. <em>edited by littleone on 17/01/2013</em>

Does what someone is wearing on their feet really make a difference to another person's life? Maybe not :-)!! Absolutely to mine it does! I have nothing else to do but put up this thread and have a little rant about how inappropriate I believe it is to wear Uggs in public. :-p !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It also gave me the opportunity to find out how many bogans there are on EW, I have been secretly stalking Beebers, TDB, AudreyFB, amongst others as they have now come clean on their bogan-ness! So if there is a crazy looking lady following you around the mall sniggering under her breath in an Aussie accent "bogan...bogan" you know its me!

AudreyFB, you gave me a good laugh with talking about Capalaba and the Bogans there. DH is ex Air Force so Amberley area, I know where you are coming from. It makes me laugh when people wear UGGS as a fashion statement ,when they are just slippers! Yes we lived at the Gold Coast where all the girls wears them with a mini skirt and jumper. The guys with board shorts and a hoodie. In saying that I have a pair of uggs on at the moment but bought from the factory at Burleigh. Yippee some one else who agrees they are slippers.

They are worn outside by all in Australia when it gets cold......but in Capalaba park (for you brisvegas ladies) shopping centre nr to where I lived they would wear ugg boots along with their flannelette pj's when it was late night shopping in the winter :) With their friends (bogans also) from Woodridge!!!! Sorry AudreyFB but I disagree as an Aussie there is no way I would be caught in public with my Uggs on! And I am sitting inside all toasty with mine on.

Nope - wear them whenever it gets cold usually with skinny jeans. They are not slippers hence can be used outdoors - they are brilliant in the desert when it is freezing. You mean you don't wear them when it's warm out, with a mini skirt? lol lol littleone!!! I would love to "bogan-crash" your party in my big ugly boots! ;) In the climate I grew up in, my parents always stressed function to me with boots, jackets, etc. I guess the tackiness stuck :) I hate being cold. Heck, I am wearing mine inside right now because I am fffffffffffffreeeeeeeeeezing!!!! We dont allow any bogan's at our parties!!!!! So sorry beeb's! Agree you have to wear boots in the cold, snow and rain, but not UGG's they are slippers!

I dont know...I think its just a cop out on both sides. I'm glad that the professional sporting bodies are trying to clean up this kind of thing. , There are more important issues in the world than the fact that Lance took performance enhancing drugs 15 years ago which deserve publicity more so than watching a man's world fall apart. They took his medals, they stripped him of his titles let it go. You can't manage the past you can manage the future, move on.

Shame on anyone who does drugs to win and especially shame on someone who lies for so long. In this case the deception has only come to light recently with proof despite rumours and I bet anyone who was involved in cycling over the years in a professional capacity had heard rumours or knew of professionals that also took performance enhancing drugs. It comes down to human nature if you can get away with it you will give it a go. I wonder how many other sporting hero's or famous people who are adored by the public do illegal things and never get caught. Its only when it comes to light that they get unceremoniously knocked off their pedastals by their adoring fans.

then you had better put Arnold Scharwzenagger and some of the international swimmers, Ben Johnson, Flo Jo etc etch... in the same boat! Performance enhancing drugs have been in sport for years and hopefully the best thing to come out this whole soap opera will be that international sports will become cleaner. I'm a little over the whole witch hunt on Lance.

We booked a "package" that took us to dinner on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower a very quick look around, boat cruise and then off to Moulin Rouge to watch the show. Unfortunately the weather was crapola and it was raining sideways the moment we got off the bus but it made for a memorable night. Unfortunately due to the rain we couldnt do the boat cruise and we were leaving the next day so we couldnt use it but it was a great way to kill two birds with one stone. The food wasnt fantastic but tasty and it was good to pack so much in to one night. They also dropped us off back at the hotel which was great. Try and make the trek at least once a year, its definitely worth it. The beds are like dentist chairs and they raise it up and down, so you are effectively lying down, there definitely no pressure on your spine at all and if there is they will pop some extra pillows under your knees to eleviate it.

An option is the podiatrist at The One and Only. They have a bed which you lie on and whilst they are expensive it's absolutely worth it, it's called something Bastien (on similar). I haven't been in a while but book with the man his name is Max, I think! He is gentle and thorough.

We have this problem too, my cotton t-shirts at waist height and DH's on the right shoulder. Whatever it is they really like the more expensive clothing too. Initially I thought it was the kitchen tops or belts but when they started nawing on DH's clothing I am positive it's a critter. We have the little moths that look like fruit flys as well but they are in the bathroom, maybe it's them!

The houses are definitely odd and such a waste of space!! Plus we had really boring neighbours and the dog and I got frustrated with all the cleaners, gardens, repair guys that came all the time. I just wasnt use to people walking in all the time and got caught a few times in my pj's (very embarassing!). We are still on the Palm but in an apartment and DH still swims just not as often, we go to the palace beach, its a short drive and lovely. DH gets at least a 1k swim in whilst I frolic in the water trying to not look like a beached whale! hehehe....

We use to live on one of the fronds and my DH would swim every day, from one end of the frond to the other, regardless of the time of the year. He was usually out there on his own and would come across someone in a canoe very rarely. We would have friends over in summer and sit in the water with a cool beverage, wasnt a problem. The only time we didnt venture in the shallows was when the stringrays started to migrate to the fronds and there are some times of the year that there is a froth or seaweed around, none of this stopped DH but then again he's a lunatic when it comes to water.

Your welcome Tigerente. I think the best advice I could give would be to get some professional advice. There is an Obagi store in Dubai Mall, next to Galleries Lafayette on the first floor near the lifts, they have a plastic surgeon on site and he does the laser as opposed to a therapist. Personally, I wouldnt have laser done in Dubai unless it was a registered nurse or a doctor doing it. There is also some negative reviews on the Obagi and I would suggest you thoroughly research before you make a decision. Primarily the reason I used the Obagi was that I have pigmentation right on my lipline and my DH kept telling me I had coffee on my top lip. Unfortunately the laser didnt remove it because it was too close to my lip.
