OMG, and I fell asleep watching second episode of Breaking Bad!! Gotta try it again 'Allo 'allo - it's not really new, quite old actually but absolutely hilarious (in case you've missed it)) And my all-time fave is 24!! I sat through 2 seasons of Breaking Bad hoping to like it as everyone is raving about it and I just couldnt like it. Same with Shameless (US), I dont find White trash amusing. Shameless UK yes Shameless US NO!!!!

Lol...I kept making myself watch it, hoping for the penny to drop as to why it's allegedly so funny and clever. lol I had NO trouble curbing my enthusiasm for it! My colleague said there must be something wrong with me as i did not like it. He forced all of us in the office to watch it. Everyone bar him couldnt stand it haha

I had lashes going adrift quite early on and yes the kinked ones too but a brush usually sorted them out. However would not get it done again as lost some of my own eyelashes and they took a while to grow back in again. I used false ones when out for the evening so did not notice if i had lost many

Hi there We are planning to buy a flat in the UK (buy to let) and would prefer to do as much as possible from here. We plan to contact agents and give them our requirements to start looking for a place and then go in the summer hopefully to view and make an offer. I just wanted some help on two things, firstly for those of you who have done it from here, how much can yopu do from here and at what stage would you need to go the UK to finalise/sign etc and secondly did you get a mortgage from Dubai or UK and could you recommend someone I could contact? Can i just contact banks by email and apply for a mortgage with a UK bank online or do i need to be there? TIA for your help My friend bought a house in the UK ( He lives here) I will find out who he used to do this and come back to you

HI! I just got mine done this evening at Beyond Beauty in JBR. The gal has been doing them for 8 years. I booked a full set (600 dhs) and she said I really only needed a half set; full set wouldn't create more volume. I said let's go with your recommendation. Lo and behold--I love them! so natural; they're just lovely!! the cost was 350 dhs for the half set. Oh--and there was a 10 minute wait for my appointment, so they set me down for a foot session with their reflexologist. That's another thread...this gal is amazing. Refills are 150 dhs. She said to avoid washing my eyes at all when I wash my face--just remove liner/shadow with a cotton pad and remover. I also have pretty sensitive eyes, and I have no awkward feeling from having them on. Can't even feel them :) HTH Just a report: I debated going back for a fill in, now that it has been 2 weeks since having had the full set put on. Well, I got tired of not being able to splash clean my face with water (the gal said not to get them wet at all) so I took them off. Yes--myself. They were irritating me a bit. I don't think any of my own fell out, as I put mascara on this morning, and my lashes look very full. Of course they are seemingly so short now lol--that will take some getting used to! So I guess my limit is 2 weeks with these things. I don't know if it is worth the 350 dhs for me. I always washed my face with them on? oops, i never lost or damaged them though Really? I was just following the gal's instructions--was worried to deviate because I went away for a week, and I was worried they'd get mussed if I washed my face like normal. Question, louise, did yours get kinked at all? When I would wake up in the mornings, sometimes they would be a bit askew--my eyes tear up when I sleep. I would comb them into place, but I felt like as the week progressed they just weren't looking like they did when I first got them on. The whole idea was for me to think less about my eyelashes--not more, you know? I washed my face everyday. I lost one or two perhaps. They never got kinked at all. I just brushed them and used a clean mascara wand to separate them if that makes sense. The strangest thing was wearing sunglasses as i could feel them against the lenses at first

You could possibly get it on Kindle, if you've got one. I doubt it'd be banned here though, it's a health book! Even if it is, there's still a way to get it on Kindle. Hope you'll get your hands on it, it's a great read =) I just thought because it had Sexy in the title they may not allow it nothing to do with the nature of the book

I've just had a friend over who is the same dress size as you and after a few happy days trawling the shops she decided that Koton was her favourite in terms of style and fit. She got a dress with birds on it from there that looked amazing. I'm with Freckly, I'm a size 6 and find shop mirrors vile. When I was a size 14 - 16 I'd avoid looking in them. Another shop I've never been in, thank you, looks like I might venture out tomorrow! Size 6 from 14-16, how did you do it, you must be tiny now!! Koton does some fab stuff, well priced too. :-)

Re jane Norman, Im only JUST getting to a S16 but in January I fitted in a size 14 of her dresses and was over the moon and the dressk looked great! So if you see a dress in that shop just go in and try it on, you never know and they are not hugely expensive!!! It must of been the cut as i tried on a size 12 and a size 14 dress and it was skin tight? Maybe I won't try Jane Norman then, hehe! Dress sizes are bonkers. In some i can be a 10 others a 14... go figure

I would avoid Coast as i find their sizing small. marks is good, as are Oasis and also Top shop- their sizes are what they say. Next is also good for 'correct' sizing! Chin up- those mirrors dont flatter ANYONE! And none of us go shopping with hair coiffed and full makeup on...Well i don't. :-)

I have had them done at Tips and Toes, very expensive and at a smaller salon ( Not the one above) i have never caught an infection as your eyes are closed and usually taped over whilst they apply the lashes. The only thing i could see you could have problems with is the glue however i have very sensitive skin and i never had a problem.

The OP mentioned early that she called and the MOL told her they do not oversee the freezones for labor disputes or advice. This is concerning. Does the UAE labor law stil cover the freezones? Are freezones held to the same rules about gratuity, leave, termination etc as the rest? Who is the official governing body for these zones? Is there one for each freezone? OP: This is so disappointing to here. I am very sorry about all of the negative things that have happened. Let's hope there is a silver lining. I hope you get things sorted out soon and find answers and closure to the issues you currently face. The FZ have their own labour people

I don't have an "accent" and as such I just love accents. First I fell for a welshman, then a scot (who were both pr!cks) then an Aussie guy who looked and sounded the part but when it came down to it was pretty useless at everything else. Just looooove a man with an Irish accent. Makes me go weak at the knees. Northern or Southern Irish ;) southern....its softer.......eek think I need a cold shower I like the Belfast one haha spend alot of time there. My BFF is from there and hates the accent I am off there in April so will head South and bring a few back for you ;)

I honestly don't know what a British accent is! If one is from Britain the accet is either English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish. All very different accents. oh well, they've got the london accent, the northern accent, the cornish accent and the southern accent.. take your pick. :D Dont forget brummies. scousers, geordies, yorkies hundreds of accents :-)
