My best friend in the UK had lipo and said it was the worst thing she ever did. She was in agony after the operation and although it removed the fat her skin surface is bumpy and has dents in places. Cellulite is the bane of most womens lives. Exercise, plenty of water, no caffeine, junk food in moderation and body brushing help. Personally i feel it can be genetic as i have very slim friends who have it and voluptuous friends who don't. I have had both LPG ( Didnt rate it) and Velashape ( This was good but you have to keep having it and it is very expensive) Good Luck with whatever you chose to do :-)

The problem you may face through some agencies ( not all) is that they will not consider non UAE hires. Due to relocation costs etc agencies prefer to hire locally as it means they dont have to sort out flights/housing etc. You may get lucky, however if you dont receive a reply from some of them dont be disheartened as most companies want local hires ( cheaper and easier) Good Luck!

so yesterday,32 week, i went to my doc and she says that i am overweight so should watch what i eat and no sugar.(i have normal glucose tests and has gained 18 kgs). to eat only salads at night!! these days i am so hungry during the day what to do :( i tried salad yesterday and my heartburn went from treeible to worst. was up whole night as i could hear my stomach grumbling!! i need to have little sugar during the day but that has been restricted too :( i am hungry!! I have an app on my phone called my fitness pal where you can put in all the foods i eat and i restrict myself to 1500 a day plus i exercise 3 times a week for 45 minutes. You should never just eat salad. I healthy diet made up of all the food groups wil be sufficent plus exercise in any form even if it is only walking leisurly etc. Try the app or Google it online Today i have eaten Porridge and honey for breakfast fruit salad for mid morning snack Jamie Olivers homemade veg soup for dinner 2 finger kitkat Dinner will be baked cod, weight watchers oven chips ( they are my fave by far) and garden peas For supper if i get a little hungry i will have some rice cakes or ryvita with cottage cheese After eating all the above i still have calories left over and i am at the gym tonight Try googling Weight Watchers or Slimming World stay away from the faddy diets that make you lost 6 stone ( and gain it back in a week) Fill up with low GI food, brown bread, brown rice etc :-)

Has anybody seen any short black lace or sheer gloves anywhere? I want to wear some short gloves with my outfit for Dubai World Cup - however I can't find any at all. I know it's a pretty specific request however any suggestions would be much appreciated! TIA x Debenhams perhaps? i had lace ones in my Madonna copying phase many moons ago! Hi Ladies.. My husband is due to start a new job after being made redundant & we're just in the process of having our visa's cancelled with his old company. His old company have also asked for our Emirates ID cards back even though we paid for them at a cost of nearly 2,000 dhs. How does this work ? So do these also automatically become non void when our visa's are cancelled ? Hello they belong to you not the company, They will become valid once your visas are cancelled and if Hubbie starts a new role he will need to make a new application for all of you. I have recently changed mine as our work visa have changed no they don't - i have used my Emirates ID which was attached to visa a, when i had visa b with no issues. We have moved from non FZ to FZ perhaps that is why we all had to change them This infomation was given to us by the DIFC our new sponsors

I think a blind eye is turned here. It is supposed to be illegal in the UK too however there was a program on Dispatches last week about how a certain website that is supposed to be a buy and sell for fans is actually run by the promoters and the company staff therefore the promoter is pocketing an awful lot of money. Apparently there is no legislation regarding this and it is unfair as the fans are losing out or paying way above the odds. Personally i will not pay more than face value for tickets and if i lose out then so be in. I am not lining the pockets of greedy sellers end of :-)

I think I will just have to bite the bullet as you both have advised. I live in the greens so will maybe stick to that area for a while that's if I make it out of the car park in one piece! Watch out if anyone lives in the greens on Friday morning! Lol! I live in the Greens so shall avoid the roads on Friday haha. You will be fine it is easy how you adapt :-)

After DH going next door at midnight asking the neighbours to be quite and being told what's your problem tomorrow is off and the kids are playing, the next time we will call the police. Btw they calmed down at 2 pm. We spoke to out landlord today and he advised us to call the police.. In the end i resorted to the police. My neighour sleeps in the day and from 11pm she comes alive. All her friends come over at 12am and they dont talk they shout. During the weekends i dont mind as earplugs go in but when you are woken up mid week at 12am ( when she moved in) by drilling next to your head ( Her lounge wall is against my bedroom) enough is enough. Security went round and she shut the door in his face, same to me and some guy above me ( who has kids) i went to the association board of our building as she starts banging her patio door and scraping furniture at from 12am up to 6am Her microwave is on balcony so she is in and out all through the night???? She also wears high clip cloppy heels which are so annoying. In the end i spoke to the police who spoke with her and believe me she stopped. I get filthy looks every time she sees me in the coridoor but i dont care. If they want to make noise they should live in a standalone villa not in an apartment or compound. We all pay far too much money to have to put up with this. Alot of people are scared to call the police but they were fab in my case

I'm sorry to hear about your cousins and their accident. To answer your questions to the best of my ability, I cannot for one moment believe that the visit visa covers insurance, it may (and I really have no idea) cover emergency treatment at a government hospital. Best to call one and ask. Regarding the accident why did you not report it to the police as soon as they told you? I think that is the way forward. I believe visit visas these days do have a compulsory insurance taken....but don't know if its the same for visit visa granted on arrival. The visit visa doesnt cover insurance here. You are supposed to take out insurance

louisedvs, So, does the landlady owned the whole Turia or only ( or couple of) your apartment? I've lived 3 different buildings here & each were belong to only one landlord. We paid for him and received the contract from him. The real estate just helped to both parties for the deal & charged a fee. Is there another way here where the contract is not directly from the landlord? She only owns my apartment no other ones in the Greens So, isn't there a risk in this type of case that landlord can sell the property without informing tenant. If landlord is an expact; that can just go back home country. This really happended to one of my friend. That building owened by 3 people a local & 2 Indians. Indians oweners were the ones to collect rent & later on they'd sold their share to the local & went back home. Fortunately my friend's contract over exactly on the same time this happened. But, they didn't receive the deposit back Dhs. 6000. The local landlord had asked them to collect it from the Indian ones who were already left the country otherwise go to rent comitee. I think this is a chance you take however 2 of my friends were in those situations where the landlords had skipped the country and defaulted on the mortgage. They were allowed to remain in the property for the duration of the contract. I suppose we all take that chance when we rent as there is no assurance that nothing bad will happen. We just have to have faith that it doesnt happen. I dont even think you are protected if you go via a real estate agent and my understanding is you can only rent via a landlord directly or a real estate agent and the landlord writes the contract as they own the property. There arent any safeguards here unfortunately. I have rented from ex pats in all my apartments and fortunately never had issues with deposits. I can image the positive outweights the negative in regards to this and all us renters are in the same boat

Did a little websearch regarding ownership of those apartments. There're so many apartments from various buildings in the Greens are on sale means, each apartment has a different owner. (pls. make me correct if I've misunderstood) Pls. can someone explains me how far it's safe to rent an apartment in there. How to varify landlord of property? Is there a risk that landlord can sell the property during our stay without inform ingus? Who's responsible of the maintanance of the apartment? Who provides then other facilites like gym,pool and car parking? Really confusing. Found Emrill does maintanance but, which maintanance is that; the apartment (like A/C, any reparing like leaking taps), other facilites like gym & pool or outside area? Pls. help. I am in Turia and rent directly from the landlady. Emrill do all the maintenance and come to check the fire alarms with a hairdrier ( yes regulary) fire alarms are tested regulary too. Our pool and communal area is spotless with lifeguards on duty and the security guys are fab! I have lived in many areas in Dubai and this is the best by far ( IMO) I am about to renew and my landlady cannot increase the rent ( unless i am paying below the market value and it can be only by 25% i think) there are laws governing tenants now with regards to landlords wanting to move in etc. There are posts on here you can search regarding rental increases etc. I think all landlords have to be registered although i dont know how to check this sorry

Each time i have blown a tyre an Emirati F1 team has appeared from nowhere jacked up my car and changed the tyre in minutes They have pulled me out of sand, stopped when i had an accident etc etc. Big shout out to the locals! LOL How many tires have you blown??? 4 in 6 years :( usually due to hitting objects in the roads ( and i dont mean other cars) :-)
