I live at the Greens too. No problems with allocated parking at all. I leave for work everyday at 7.45am and have no problems with the traffic. I love the area :-)

thanks for this, am looking forward to other comments, how much does everyone pay and if anyone is willing to share, do they keep to that amount or do they pay the monthly package then use more and therefore pay more? TIS I have 1MB each month and use Whats App and FB. It costs me 145AED a month but i am pay as you go You can also download I message now which is the same as BBM is for blackberry users You can message other I phone users ( across the world for free) I rarely use all my MB I did buy my phone in the UK though as it was ridiculously overpriced here :-)

I don't think that would be an issue in dubai, it's all concrete! It was horrid in Canada. She wears high heels and clipclops her way round her house all through night till 6am grrrrrrrrrrr

thanks guys..I was just worried about young tummies and digesting something like chewing gum. she scared herself silly so hopefully there will be no more asking for chewing gum :D I used to suck and eat my hair when i was small haha. Terrible customer service with this company. Personally i would go in and see them F2F. I will not deal with the phone based staff EVER. They actually reduced me to tears once due to their customer service ( tears of anger and frustration i might add)

Hi does anyone know of a site which 'looks out' for cheap flights? Is there such a thing? I'm thinking of a site to which you could subscribe for emails on special deals to certain destinations. I would like to travel to the UK at some point over the next few weeks (flexible on dates) but would like to pick up a bargain if possible :-) TIA x Emirates had a sale on at the beginning of the year and i got mine to the UK in April ( Not the Easter weekend though they were 4500) for 2100AED. Do not forget it is the Easter holidays soon so the prices go through the roof Lufthansa has one on but it is only for business class Skyscanner do an online portal however at this time of the year they are quite expensive to the UK

They probably did not know how many people would buy the tickets or that it would sell out. I only know of one concert that sold out here and that was years ago. In the UAE it is very rare that you cannot get tickets to a concert and added dates are done at short notice all over the world due to demand etc. I personally do not feel that they did it on purpose

Read the book and watched the film twice. Very good. I thought the film reflected the book really well. I agree with Monkey Face it gives you perspective. If you have the opportunity to read the book do so, highly recommend it!! Is the book available in Dubai? I'm sure it is! Try the usuals: Borders or Konokuniya! :) It is available everywhere. One of the actresses won the best supporting oscar. I was so pleased :-)

Sorry for hijacking Betti. We received an ‘illegal’ notice from the landlord, he wants to move in within 3 months notice – according to RERA the notice period in such case should be 12 months from the end of the tenancy period. What we should do? How long before the expiry date we have to inform whether we want to renew or if we don’t want to renew the tenancy contract? Thanks Mine has always been 2 months. It will say it on your contract :-)

Thats why I said that an Agent will meet with a candidate when a suitable role comes in. I mean, of course an Agent has a better chance of getting the right profile by actually speaking with the candidate, if not face to face then on the telephone. They work on a commission basis too so it's also in their interest. I do know that some agencies are very unprofessional in their way of doing things but I think its a little unfair to tar them all with the one brush. Also, on another note, logically speaking, what agency is going to have enough manpower to meet with every single candidate who applies for a job. According to one friend, they receive hundreds of applications per role, per day. Meeting everyone just isnt realistic... Agree

I find getting tickets here for events so much easier than in the UK. The only ones i missed out on were the tennis ones but then i didnt log on. There is a huge ticket scam in the UK now where promoters give the bulk of the tickets to websites that claim to be for fans selling them! It turns out the website owners and the promoters are making huge amounts of money off the fans and the tickets are selling for 4 times more than face value. Dubai doesnt have massive stadiums therefore there will only be a limited amount allocated to fans and i have just heard that they have added another date to the tour due to demand

You are so right! My DH begged me yesterday to change channels as he cant stand listening to Rihana's "we found love' and Gotye's 'somebody that I used to know'. I personally feel allergic to all Adele songs as they are played to death as well. Changed to 103.2. They seem to play golden oldies which is fun to listen to and when I like listening to more current songs I go over to 104.8 for a while. I like Coast, i find myself jigging around in the car to the oldies :-)

My colleague complained as he was sick of the same stuff. They may aswell do away with the DJ's and just play the music He was told that they play what it most popular and that is why we hear the same stuff over and over and over I used to love Adele's "Rollin the deep" however i hate it with a passion now as they played it to death!

When we have done part time roles in the past for an admin person working 30 hours a week the salary has been around 7-8000AED per month. They are the only roles i know of sorry :-)

http://www.dubai.com/v/visa_requirements/ It says here they dont have to apply for one prior to arrival they automatically get 30 days :-) I took the OP's post to mean a visa to visit Japan, not for a Japanese national to visit Dubai. As has been said, nationals of 61 countries don't need a visa to enter Japan as a tourist, and the full list is [url=http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/short/novisa.html'>here[/url'>. But if the OP is certain that a visa is needed, the Japanese embassy would seem to be the obvious place to start. It looks like quite a complicated procedure that needs several weeks to complete. It is Thursday haha sorry

I use the arm one too and got mine from Amazon. I haven't heard anything. Mind you they have been on air forever, traditionally shows don't last more than about 2 years, so in radio terms, it's well overdue. I actually thought Tom, Dan and Lisa might have been moving into that slot. g0d i hope not :-/ Me too!
