Hi, I was looking for threads related to Homeopathy treatment for Thyroid and the effects it has on energy levels, hair, skin, weight etc. I am not sure if you are active on Expatwoman, but request...
Dr Deoshree at Medicure Clinics in Umm Suqeim, alwasl road (there is many branches but this one), and she is reasonable not expensive. She is good. I was talking about Homeopathy on the Menopause thread and did not mention the doctors name. maybe it will help here.

Dear Selma, Sounds all to familiar. HOMEOPATHY and Intermittent Fasting-IFJason Fung Phd). The IF controlled all the hormonal ricochet. I spared no money in the search. Everybody wanted to push products. I was frustrated. All hormonal imbalance. IF after 3 weeks got all my hormones back in shape. No Brain Fog, Thicker Hair, Sleeping, reduced inflammation (pre-diabetes), better skin. One book changed my life. OBESITY CODE, Jason Fung (also Canadian) I know a good Homeopath as well. Less expensive, and all natural.

yes- the country is facing a problem here with this class of medication "controlled" medications. now all controlled medications will be linked to emirates id. if you are requiring controlled medications for long term as you suggest, i highly advise that you are being followed up with a doctor here for such. I am surprised that your home country has given you a stock greater than 3 months. Even in western countries, the dispensing amounts have been reduced as well to prevent, misuse, re-selling, overdosing, without medical monitoring of changes in condition. I would not advise to bring in controlled medications against the law. 6 months of medications is very hard to justify. I have looked after oncology patients returning back from abroad and they are on very high dose control meds, and the MOH allows them sufficient stock to cover for the month until being matched with equal medical coverage. The UAE healthcare system doctors have advanced over the last 20 years, with Western qualified doctors and medications are now here.

Canadian expat for 20 years in GCC. Fitness, anything healthy, and exploring food recipes with no sugar, and healthy eating like when I grew up. I am rekindling my expat woman connection. Dubai has changed so fast, I feel the need to keep up with more socially engaged persons. One random fact about me? I have always preferred to spend time with Elderly persons 70+ than with my age groups since I was 20 years young.
