We are also team PINK! All my shopping self control that I had prepared myself with has gone completely out of the window, I can't even walk past a shop and not buy something! I am going to be in serious trouble if they have made a mistake on the scan, lol! Definitely starting to feel more real now as I am getting lots more movement, but I have an anterior placenta so it is only really at the sides of my bump that I can feel it. Can't believe I have hit the 20 week mark already, it seems to be flying by! We didn't get the best news at our 20 week scan as there is a problem with baby's kidney, which may resolve itself in utero or after birth (crossing everything that it does!), may need surgery or may mean she will only have one kidney, but there are worse things and it could have been a lot worse so I am just thankful for that. Hope everyone else's scan went well. Is anyone going to the Baby Bazaar in Dec? Was planning on popping up to Dubai to go so if any other ladies are going , might be a good time to meet up over a tea/coffee (or at least a cake!) :) Hoping all goes well with your little one and her kidneys, Bellauk. We had our scan yesterday and it is def nerve wracking waiting to hear the results. Wishing you all the best. edited by caligurl on 08/12/2013 Wow, everyone is having a girl, cool! Team PINK it is! I am totally up for meeting at this Baby Bazaar, though I haven't heard of it. Cake sounds amazing. Sorry to hear about your scan dear. You are right to be optimistic though, it could be a lot worse. Our scan is this Saturday… fingers and toes crossed. Xx

Hello Ladies!!! hope all of you are doing well! just to report back, i still havent felt any movement yet :( maybe because is my first? :s Well, we found out what it is a few weeks back. It was too hard to resist not knowing, plus we would have known anyway as SHE was just showing non-stop, not shy at all this one!!! Ha! :) Have any of you found out too? Good luck to all of you on the 20 week scan for those who haven't had it yet and i hope everything went well for those who have had it. I got mine on Sunday and im a bit nervous tbh as it is also hubbies bday, so praying here that everything will be alright! xx Congrats on your baby girl! I am also having a girl. I'm 20 weeks now and I get the scan done on the 14th on December, so a couple weeks left to wait. Good luck on yours! I'm feeling her move a little bit but nothing sharp or pronounced. More like a rolling feeling around 7:30 or 8pm. Can't wait to start feeling her more! I'm getting headaches every time I try to sleep on my left side. It's horrible as I know that's the side I should be sleeping on. Super annoying. I went to the chiropractor but it didn't help. Sigh. Xx

Hi ladies! Its very quiet in here these days, we should be a little more active and offer support to one another. Anyways, how are you all feeling? Has anybody felt the little one moving yet? I bought my first maternity clothes the other day' weird but nice feeling lol has anybody found any nice maternity clothes yet? If so, where? Hope to hear from you all. :) Ooooh, feeling so/so. Headaches. yuckiness. But, feeling the baby wiggle around now! That's exciting! Found the best dresses at Carrefore for 19 Dirhams. I bought 9. haha. They are AMAZING and perfect for pregnancy. You should definitely go there now. They just added more styles! I go to the one in Mirdiff City Centre. Xx edited by Mmountainn on 12/11/2013

Hello! Are there any meetups after working hours? I work full time and I can't be the only one. I'm pregnant, no kids. I'd love to meet others in the same boat. Cheers

MrsDB, Hello! I understand the frustration. I've seen 5 doctors. All were nuts, I swear. Dr.Liliana works out of Health Bay in Jumeirah, but she delivers at al zahra. She is into natural birth, that's her thing so I guess that's what I;ll be doing (unless I need a csection of course). She is very on it. From the first meeting she addressed all my concerns and was super focused. Personable but trustworthy. So far, haha. I have another appointment on November 23 and I have 1000 questions for her so I can update you after that. She did mention that I get a full hospital tour with her to go through the place so I feel comfortable. I also know that al zahra has a pool for labour (though not delivery). I'm confirming on the 23rd. Health Bay is super clean and well organized. I've been more comfortable there then anywhere else I've been. Give it a shot! Cara Ps. BellaUK I am super excited to find out too!!! doc said a girl at 12 weeks but it was still just a guess, too early. I have to wait till the 23rd to find out now. Damn. So impatient.

Hello Ladies, ooooooh I sooo relate. I am 16 weeks pregnant and I spent the first trimester hoping for death. Horrible nausea and a migraine headache that lasted more than 2 months. Non-stop. I seriously didn't think I could handle it anymore. I Googled remedies and saw acupuncture. I was so desperate. Called Dr.Martine at Synergy Clinic in Jumeirah and she stopped my headache on the first consultation. I had my second consultation and my nausea is gone. I can't explain why it works, I have no idea, but I don't really care! If you were suffering as badly as I was I would recommend seeing her. Xx

hello everyone! I'm due the end of April like a lot of you on here. So nice to have fellow expats in Dubai suffering, I mean, enjoying pregnancy as I am. haha. What a ride the first trimester was, holy man. I suffered 2+ months of extreme headaches, like 24/7 for over 2 months. PLUS nausea. Finally went to the acupuncturist and she fixed me up in a session. No idea how it works or why, just happy headaches and nausea are gone. caligurl I am delivering at Al Zahra too with Dr. Liliana from Health Bay Clinic. Finalllllllllllly found a reliable doctor but it took months. I'm Canadian btw. Anyone else from my part of the world? Xx
