Hi Happy-Feet, I am guessing that the facility fee is like the Development levy at Compass International, a 1 off fee for capital investment in the buildings and and facilities. It is only legal if the school has permission from the Supreme Education Council so it is worth checking as we discovered Compass have always charged their Development Levy but never had permission to do so. There are so many parents asking for their money back (about QAR 7,500)and some parents and companies are not charged it. The school should have a stamped paper telling you what they have permission to charge.

Hi. You go to the Supreme Education Council, 11th floor, to the office of the Director of Private Schools (turn right out of the lift) and ask to see Mr Hamad or Miss Sameera. Register your complaint and go to the school and get your money back.
Apparently, Compass has never had permission to charge the levy since it opened so if you have had a kid there at anytime you can get the money back you paid. Also, I have been told that all schools should display their approved fees (a letter signed and stamped by the Supreme Education council)and their Qatar Civil Defense Department licences in a prominent place (like the Reception I guess).
