Hello I am also moving to Kuwait in the next couple of months ... we currently live in Dubai and have previously lived in Bahrain and Qatar. Can you tell me are there any regular coffee mornings which take place ... run either by Expat Woman as they do here in Dubai or similar groups who get together? I've looked on MeetUp.com but there doesn't seem to be much on there for Kuwait If there's nothing currently happening ... I'm happy to get something started after I arrive if anyone else is interested

Hi as PPs said, the commute is perfectly doable in that direction. Personally though, I would be more incclined to live in Mirdif/Al Warqaa as it's closer and would take 15-20 mins. Thank you WhiteOrchid ... we will be arriving in Dubai in three weeks time ... so will be able to have a look at these alternative areas then

Yeah Mrs Q most of the traffic is leaving SHJ & coming to DXB so you should be ok. My OH drives from Jumeirah and it takes him 20/25 minutes. Your hubby will find ways and shortcuts as he gets used to the roads! Springs is also an option as you can drive the back route. Thank you :-)

I think it would depend on where in SHJ, but from DownTown it will be about 20/25 minutes and add another 20 minutes on to that from the Marina. Thank you pollydxb1 ... we have been receiving a lot of conflicting information ... some are saying it will be around 30 minutes and others are saying in excess of one hour. Fortunately, we will be in temporary accommodation for the first couple of weeks so my husband can do a few trial runs and we can make a final decision as to where we are going to live. Once again, thanks for your help ... it's greatly appreciated

Whatever you do, do not hand any money over to any agent without seeking advise for the ladies on here. some agents are con artists, be careful. Thanks SalsB ... we'll take care

Hi Mrs Q, I used about 10 different agents when I was house hunting and found LaMaison (Kumar) and Go (Sara) to be the only ones to listen to me and show me what I was looking for. Good luck :-) Thank you :-)

We will be looking to live in either the Dubai Marina or Downtown area Our guy, Mazz, doesn't deal with that area, but his company does. Try Golden Wave Properties. Thanks Geordie expat I'll give them a try
