I don't mean throughout the day, I know that, but is each particular call to prayer the same? For example, we've just had call to prayer here. Normally this one is....unremarkable. However, just now it was beautiful to listen to. Same with the Friday prayers. Normally I barely notice them but on one occasion the sound was so mesmerizing I recorded it. Can it differ or am I just hearing recordings of the same call but by different people at different tempos? They dnt vary, it just depends on the voice ..the one u liked prob has a beautiful voice.

If ur choosing between the greens and Jlt pls put into consideration Tht Jlt is closer to Abu Dhabi As for the marina traffic is horrible nowadays becos if so much road work Now I love Jlt, it now has it's own park that's very new and clean and u cam walk to the metro if the weather is okay. So many restaurants, cafés, shops, salons, and supermarkets but not in all clusters, some clusters r so dead. So when checking out towers in Jlt, pick one Tht is close to a playing area and at least has a supermarket. Pls b put in mind Tht there r many towers Tht have terrible services such as gold crest 2, their ac is really bad, another disadvantage of towers are fire alarms they go off a lot so try to get an apt not on the very high floors. Seif towers are the one of the best in Jlt, avoid icon and gold crest 2. There is no longer any traffic problems is Jlt and forgot to mention there are several nurseries in Jlt and a great gym in the famous Alma's tower. edited by mrssak on 12/05/2014 edited by mrssak on 12/05/2014

I had the same problem u just have to keep on trying.. She used to push it with her tongue Have u used different bottles/nipples? And try several formulas Usually at such a young age it's easier to introduce a bottle than an older age so try a different nipple or mayb the flow is too fast. Avent is wider than tommee t. TT is very good but only availablein a few places, mamas and papas and waitrose. i have the Avent bottles, and NUK and mother care Innosense brand, NOTHING worked! i will look for the tommee t and trythem today. thanks for the help. What happened with your baby? did she accept the bottle? Yes she did but it took some time but it really works if someone else gives her the bottle. Give it a try. When she accepts it shell love it cos the flow is faster than the breast Dnt stress abt it just keep on trying

Adcb we have been with adcb since 1996, in the beginning women were not allowed to be on any bank accounts, obviously that has changed.... lol but i am in charge of the debit card so there is really no need for me to get a separate account. I've had it for 2yrs now ..my own account but they needed my husband to b present when opening up the account and took his details. But he has no access to my account. I find them to b very professional and the debit card is great ...no problems whatsoever.

DH's friend found out his [i'>wife[/i'> was having affairs, not something that happened with just one person and they fell in love or whatever, but an intentional, reckless merry-go-round of men, it seems that just about anyone will do. He found out a while ago and after getting over the shock has hired a detective to gather evidence. She has figured out that he knows something and is now being extra careful to not be caught. I asked DH how he can bear to be in the marriage. He says that she would be awarded custody and his friend cannot bear the thought of the wife bringing home shady characters who may end up semi-permanent fixtures in the lives of his two daughters. The guy's mind is reeling with the most awful scenarios, he seems well and truly stuck and miserable. It goes both ways as I am sure everyone knows. And I thought I had problems!!!!

Hi there When it comes to schools in Dubai, mostly r British and just a few American U can check Kdhas website for a list of all the American schools and their rating and read the reports to get an idea of wht they're like then myb post here a specific school name and see wht u get in return. When it comes to schooling, u def pick one u can afford (for the future too as they increase their fees) close to ur home, becos they r a few here u don't have much choice. Having a maid depends on if u need someone 24/7, or if u just need someone a few hrs a day then there r so many companies offering Tht. If u need a live in then check out the classifieds on expat woman and ull find a few options but pls read the maid section to understand the cost and their needs (health insurance, holidays....) Hope Tht was useful Good luck edited by mrssak on 04/05/2014

well I think this thread is one of the worst ideas we've ever had on here.... sorry but if your spouse is that bad then divorce him fgs, other wise just suck it up - none of us are perfect and i'm sure there's loads of things I do that pee my husband off but at the end of the day we're happy.... I thought EW was supposed to be a place where women could share stuff and ask for advice, not slag their husbands off or gloat in the knowledge that at least their husband isn't as horrible as all the others......sorry. My husband is lovely and I love him as much now as I did when I married him 27 years ago...sorry to disappoint... When I started this thread I clearly stated that if your husband is perfect and have nothing to add on here stay away. So you really did not have to come on and post telling us to get a divorce. I too love my husband and are happily married. In all the 27 years you have been married, I highly doubt that your husband does not drive you up the wall sometimes - however its not grounds for divorce. One poster's frustrations were very serious, and we tried our best to offer our support. And yes, this thread is helping me, and thats how i benefit from EW. I was irritated and came on here to share my frustrations, now I am just laughing at a lot of these, and I am sure other women on here are too. It enables us to also appreciate our husbands, so just lighten up - in the most respectful way. And I am definitely not trying to say I am perfect, I too have my own bad habits that irritate him but we love each other and our irritating traits. We look forward to counting 27 years like you one day. edited by Prettyperfect on 02/05/2014 Totally agree!! Thank u for posting tht :) This thread made me laugh and lately I'm really having a hard time. And bouncy1978..I'm sorry so for ur loss.. edited by mrssak on 02/05/2014

I envy every wife tht posted that their husband helps in the kitchen or cooks! I envy u sooooooooooooooooo much and I can't believe ur complaining lol And as for everyone that's asking me, no I'm not irritated I'm furious and mad all the time but when I'm alone I'm fine. He is gng through a bad time at his present job so I'm hoping it gets better once he changes it, hopefully soon. And no he wasn't like Tht before we moved here cos in our home country it wasn't obvious cos we have a lot to help around the house. I'm hoping things get better soon ..I have hope. I can't just run away from my problem, I need to try to fix it cos it's only been 3 yrs in the marriage. I'm not perfect too. Wish me luck :)

Thanks everyone for your advice. I am a bit confued. If I do a breakdown , i get - 1) 1 bed room in Dubai - `5500 AED per month (70000 AED) 2) Utitlities - 800 AED 3) Phone & internet - 300 AED 4) Schooling ( UK/Engtlish standard) 2500 AED 5) Food - 2000 AED This brings the total to 11000 AED I still have 3000 AED for other expenses. Will that not be enough ? Am I missing anything Sorry to be blunt but no, it won't be enough. Though of course, it all depends on what you are leaving behind and what your expectations of life in Dubai are. It is increasingly expensive here, there are many additional costs to what you have laid out, such as medical expenses, transportation for both of you (to rent the cheapest car is AED1800 a month with petrol, etc)., potential holidays, extracurricular activities for your child, etc... Having been here for a long time I can honestly say I would not move for AED14,000 if that has to cover 3 people...My guess is, you would be struggling here: trying to get by, salary to salary... And Salik too!!

How abt transportation? Will u b needing a car too or only ur husband? Bus service for school too. Any extra school activities will come At a cost. How abt medical insurance? And wht shock me is how rent has increased dramatically since we came so whatever ur paying when u get here can simply double the next year and tht is wht happened to us! So pls take tht into consideration. I'm not trying to let u down but no one warned us before we moved and now we r struggling.

It would b extremely difficult Mayb consider a one bedroom? I think living in Sharjah is a good idea U still need money to rent a car so u must consider all expenses (Rent, insurance, transportation, schooling, dewa, internet, airline tickets, gasoline, groceries, eating out...) Schools r very expensive edited by mrssak on 30/04/2014
